The Battle of Soleanna

[Decoe and Bocoe]

To Bocoe’s dismay, Sonic got no closer to them. And Decoe who saw this, looked towards him worriedly while Bokkun huffed at Sonic’s insults.

“I don’t think that’s going to work….”Decoe replied slowly.

Both of them paused before Bocoe broke the silence.

“…Maybe we should call Eggman-sama-”

“I think that we should call Eggman-sama.” He echoed, as he began to get in touch with the communication frequency of the giant mech. It took a bit of time, considering he had to shift through a number of different frequencies, but he managed to get in Dr. Eggman’s frequency. Blinking once he found it, he began talking.

“Ahh-,Dr. Eggman-sama!! Decoe and Bocoe here. Is there anything you want us to do?” He somewhat stupid asking the last question, as he was expecting an obvious answer; gets rid of Sonic. Though he just wanted to be pilot and see if he would want them both to do something else. After all, there were more people attacking Dr. Eggman than just Sonic. And plus, he seemed antsy about anyone else joining in this fight. Regardless, he stood there awaiting orders, or even just an answer.

Meanwhile, unknown to them as they were talking, Bokkun had just flown off the scene, going towards the robot. What he was planning was a simple idea, but he would have to get close….

[Qesun Vendak]

((Just so I know for the round that eventually nails my sorry tail, what exactly do those do to stun their target?))

"I don't think they make asprins big enough for knocks like that," Qesun states as he admires his own handiwork. Of course, that was right before he saw a round whip right past his face. He'd been so focused on aiming, and intent on watching, that he hadn't noticed the Swatbots until they were already firing. When he does notice, he jumps up onto his feet, actually getting a little air time, the hair on his tail and back standing on end. He stumbles backwards when he hits the ground again, accidentally falling under a few other shots. He pushes himself off the ground again, sure on his feet this time Deciding that was enough of that 'game,' he runs to the nearest debris that's good for cover, sliding to a stop. "Certainly not one of the friendliest streets in the city," He says to himself as he leans around a piece of his cover with the one pistol and takes a careful shot at the optical equipment of one of the swat bots.

[Tails]

(For skipping me, with Nail Strafer's permission, I get to post twice this round.)

Tails continues hacking and can't seem to get into other areas of Robotnik's mech, except the audio device. He sighs for a second or two.

Tails asks. "CT23, is there a way I can get inside of his targeting system or other parts of his machinery?"

CT23: There's no loophole that I can find, so is it okay to hack into Robotnik's audio device? It appears that it is the only thing on his machine that is wireless.

Tails grins. "This will have to do. I want you to transfer any message that I type so you can route it onto Robotnik's audio device. Anything I say that isn't typed, will be said in the CT23 watch.

CT23: Roger. Ready to send messages out of Robotnik's machine. Whatever you do, make it sound like something you wouldn't say and make it funny. I will route anything you type, system is ready.

Tails prepares the keyboard. "Roger."

(changed.)

[Dulcy]

Seeing that both her own and Chadin's attacks, while they did some damage, really only seemed to make Robotnik mad, and didn't seem to do anything that would cripple the bot at all. She started looking for another way to attack, and it wasn't long before she noticed some exhaust coming from a vent above the engines. This gave her another idea. "Hey Chadin, I see an exhaust vent above the engine compartment. I'm hoping it provides exhaust for not just the engines, but also the systems that run the body itself, cause I'm sure some fire breath wouldn't be very good for it. I'm going in!"

Dulcy then begins flying in closer, and takes a deep breath, and once she's really close, she breaths out a tightly focused stream of fire breath at the exhaust vent, hoping to overheat things inside the huge robot.

[Chadin]

"Sounds good Dulcy, go for it! I'll cover you!" I shout back as I duck beneath a laser blast from one of the many, many Swatbots parachuting into the fray. For the time being, there are simply too many Swatbots around to simply ignore. I've never even seen this many bots before in all my years as a Freedom Fighter; in all my life for that matter. With so many, its only a matter of time before one or more get lucky.

Firing from the hip, I fire a shot off and a Swatbot roughly between us and our over-sized robo target. Without missing a beat, I reload another shot and fire into a second. The shots are naturally far less accurate than I'd like to be, but with so many of the blasted tin cans littering the street I'm sure I'd manage to hit something.

[Tails]

Tails giggles as an idea pops into his head. He just can't help, but giggling as he starts typing on his computer. Whatever he types after he sends it with the enter button will go straight to Robotnik's communication device.

He types these few lines that go straight to Robotnik's communication device. - "I have never danced with a blue hedgehog in the pale moonlight. Will you dance with me blue hedgehog?"

Tails clicks enter and soon Robotnik's mech will soon be saying the exact words that Tails typed in his comlink and sent to Robotnik.

[Dr. Robotnik]

Qesun's shot cleanly hit a swatbot in the eyes. For a moment, it kept on running, before it stumbled over a fallen swatbot in the road. However, two swatbots moved to replace it and continued chasing after Qesun.

Chadin's three shots easily dispatched three swatbots, considering the sky was so full of them.

Considering Robotnik was focusing entirely on Sonic, he easily lifted his foot up out of the hedgehog's way as he came charging in. But he wasn't looking at what Dulcy was doing, and so got a full blast of fire into the exhaust vent.

That caused the engine's temperature gauge to briefly shoot up into its danger zone, before it had time to settle back down again. It wouldn't be able to take many more of those...

I have GOT to do something about that blasted dragon! I think she's an even bigger annoyance than the hog!"

But before he could do anything else, his loudspeaker system seemed to be on the fritz. It belted out something he'd never even said.

"I have never danced with a blue hedgehog in the pale moonlight. Will you dance with me blue hedgehog?"

"What was that?!" Robotnik was very confused now. "I think I'll just turn it off." He pressed a button on the control panel.

But now his personal communicator was squawking at him. “Ahh-,Dr. Eggman-sama!! Decoe and Bocoe here. Is there anything you want us to do?”

Growling, he grabbed for it. "Who's Eggman-sama?! And who's Decoe and Bocoe?! I've never heard of any of you in my life! If you really want to do something, I suppose you could attack the people attacking me?!" Sighing, he slammed his communicator back into his belt, loud enough to send a sharp static note back to Decoe.

"Now...what was I doing?" he scratched his head for a moment, before he had a lightbulb moment. "Oh yes...the dragon. I have an idea now."

Instead of shooting at Dulcy, he raised his pistol and fired at the building he'd hit when he initially missed Sonic. After vaporizing a few key load-bearing points on its first floor, the building collapsed straight down in front of him. This had the side effect of sending a giant cloud of smoke and dust into the air, which totally concealed the battle site. It would hide him at least for a couple of minutes.

"Try to find me now, blasted lizard!"

Robotnik grinned, and switched his view over to thermal mode. Now he could see just fine, but anyone using plain eyesight would have difficulty making him out.

[Sonic]

As soon as he saw Mech’s leg lift up, he quickly stopped in his tracks, putting on the brakes as he slid behind the enormous mech. Looking up, he saw the damage being dealt by Dulcy’s fire breath, he smiled, cupping his hands over his mouth as he yelled up to her.

“Hey, nice job! Could ya give me a lift here? I’m in a bit of a pic-”

Before he could finish though, the ground shook under him as a loud rumble emerged as smoke filled the air; and his lungs. He coughed hard a few times before he was coughing mildly. After he managed to stop, he cracked open his eyes to find that that he could no longer see the mech clearly, as the only thing he could see was smoke.

“Man, I can’t work like this!” he exclaimed, as he started to run off to his right and started to run around in a big circle, trying to clear the smoke from the area.

[Decoe and Bocoe]

"Who's Eggman-sama?! And who's Decoe and Bocoe?! I've never heard of any of you in my life! If you really want to do something, I suppose you could attack the people attacking me?!"

Bocoe scratched his head in confusion at the random line deciding to ignore it, while Decoe was greeted with a sharp static note at the end of the message. Decoe’s teeth clenched and eyes squinted as soon as the sound came, and once gone he opened his eyes to a weary expression. The expression gave Bocoe some concern, as he asked him a question.

“What he’d say?”

“Despite the fact that he doesn’t seem to remember us,…” Decoe started in a weary manner, “Exactly what I thought he would say. Attack whoever’s attacking him.”

Bocoe’s eyebrow rose. “He doesn’t remember us?”

“Nope. I guess that figures anyhow. Eggman-sama doesn’t do this kind of stuff anyways-”

About that time, the build crashed, which caught both their attention as they looked into the direction of the Robo Mech, only to be able to not see it. This caused both Decoe and Bocoe to sigh as they looked dully towards the general direction they last saw the mech.

“….It’s kinda of hard to help what you can’t –SEE-!!!”Decoe shouted in aggravation as he activated his gears and began running off, going to where he thought the mech was. Leaving Bocoe behind to be startled, hurrying behind Decoe. “HEY!! WAIT FOR MEEE!!!” He shouted, though Decoe was far ahead of him already.

Meanwhile, the tiny messenger robo managed to get to the mech fast enough to sit casually on the giant machine’s right shoulder and on look the destruction Dr. Eggman was causing, giggling in glee.

[Rose Fox]

[From Battle of Ground on Soleanna]

The cloud of smoke that had just formed was all too convenient as Rose ran straight for it, hoping to use it as cover. She had made her way through the city once more as she left the scene-and wolf- behind, trying to get to the source of her problems. And her ample timing with being able to see the robot’s position and the recent cloud of smoke was going to help her in the long run. Running straight past Sonic without really even noticing, Rose managed to gain visibility as soon as she was standing right under and next to the left foot. She quickly skidded to a halt as she ran toward the area where she had just gained visibility.

Hearing the voice made Rose stop in her tracks briefly. After all, it was exactly like the voice of Dr. Robotnik. But after a quick shake of the head, Rose managed to regain her senses as she gave a little grunt. Electricity began to crackle from her blades as she began to scale the large mech, hoping to get to the top.

“You better begin hoping that I don’t find you,”She began to lowly mutter under her breath, “Because what I’m going to do is a whole lot worse that any of these heroic fools would ever do…”
