RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Qesun nearly sneered as he looked up at Robotnik's craft. Their menacing forms diving out of the clouds like out of some old movie he'd once seen about an alien invasion. He spun one of his blades in his hand out of nervousness. It was one thing to deal with a few bots way outside their normal range. This was a full blown invasion about to happen. That was going to get messy. "Oh joy. One hour. I'm glad he's so generous as to give use THAT much. I'm not running this time."
He finally sheathed his weapons. He was just fingering them nervously for now, waiting for the manure to hit the fan. Instead, he began to run back to where he'd left his bike. Weaving through a few alley ways, he made his way back to it, picking it up off the ground and brushing it off real quick before hopping onto it. Turning the key, the engine purred to life. He hit the gas with the rear tire squealing behind him as he turned about. First he needed to get somewhere, anywhere. See what the heck Soleana's government was planning to do about this. He came to a screeching halt near a cafe who had a TV out where he could watch it well enough. 'I hope... I hope there's something I can do.' It was something he hadn't felt for a long time. That deep, uncomfortable feeling of uncertainty that anything could be done. Or worse, that one would be powerless in the face of the coming wave of crud. Just what does one Do when invaded? Fight back of course. The news showed the freedom fighters opposing Robotnik. They were fighting back, despite numbers, despite odds. Was that his option? He was just a dude on a bike! How was he supposed to put on that sort of show! He wasn't quite sure, but he knew he'd be more of a help up there. He turned around his bike once more, headed back towards that gate of Soleana. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Dulcy looks a little worried as the pods spread out and start firing at her from a distance. She takes a moment to fly up into the clouds so that she can plan out what to do next with Chadin without getting shot at, not to mention rest her lungs a bit. Hopefully the bots wouldn't be smart enough to switch to heat sensors. She looks back at him, but can make out little more than the silhouette of his body. "Alright Chadin, looks like they're getting wise to us, and this is going to he a bit harder now. Any ideas?"

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
"My crossbow is only good to about a hundred feet or so." I reply quickly as I prop my crossbow on my shoulder. "If the bots don't want to bring the fight to us, then I say we bring the fight to them. What we really need though is to get Robotnik really steamed up. Keep him from thinking straight. If we buzz his ship, maybe smash up his flag ship that might just do it. Best I can think of right now anyway. I don't know if you have a better idea?"

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Tails nosedived to the streets down below as three missiles were following his tail of the Tornado. He pulls up at the last possible second and all three missiles blow up instantaneously. Tails aims his Tornado at the Egg Carrier and sets the plane to low to hover slowly toward the massive ship. He clicks four buttons - three up and one down. CT23: Rockets acticvated. Tails clicks a trigger on his throttle and fires at the egg carrier with two rockets. Regardless of how far Tails is away from the egg carrier, the rockets manage to hit the bottom of the egg carrier and it is enough to set a chain reaction to shake the ship. Tails chuckles whole heartedly. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
"Deer and dragon lost in the clouds, O Lord Robotnik."
Robotnik seethed at this news, as he swallowed another powdered donut whole. The lower half of his face was almost solid white now from all of the donuts' toppings. How am I supposed to convince these people I can conquer them if I can't defeat a few little woodland creatures and a giant lizard? He quickly sent a message back to the swatbot pilots. "Well, don't just sit there! Fly up after them! Catch them! CATCH THEM!" Robotnik looked and sounded almost exactly like a pouting kid, as he hopped up and down angrily in his chair. The swatbots began to ascend upwards...switching to thermal optics as they did so. They ascended cautiously, because they did not want to get caught at close range. --- As he settled down, he decided to watch what Tails was doing. Seemed he'd just performed a high-speed missile dodge...and allowed the missiles to crash into the city. He'd just destroyed a lovely sidewalk cafe and a small city square with that move. Smiling a bit, he decided to send a message to the little genius. "Tails, are you sure you're not working for me? Because you just let all the missiles I shot at you hit the town. I mean...I'm presuming your general goal is to save Soleanna...not destroy it? If you've had a change of heart about being a hero, just let me know." He gave a little chuckle at the end. Then the fox fired some missiles of his own back at the Egg Carrier. Both caused the ship to shudder slightly. "Hmm...I guess not. Oh well. Use the flak cannons now, please." The guns on the front of the ship rotated into position and opened fire on the Tornado. Explosions appeared in the area around the tornado, sending little bits of flak and shrapnel flying everywhere. They were small, but a lot of them traveling at such a high speed could do considerable damage. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
The scenery flew by him in a blur as he ran at his famed speed. Stopping a moment to take a look at the new scenery, Sonic couldn’t help but feel a little bit alone. After all, one moment everyone seemed to be with him and the next, ‘POOF’ they’re all gone. And after running for a while and not seeing a single sign of civilization wasn’t really helping the feeling. Though, at least he could thank the change of scenery. He was a little afraid that he was already beginning to see most of the world, traveling at his speed. But since the strange flash of light, things have changed drastically. He sighed a little before starting his run again. But before long, he stopped again, as something caught his eye.
He took a few steps forward, as he looked upon the city before him; with its ancient looking architecture and the different water ways he could see streaming through. And the smoke coming from the recent destruction and metal airships floating in the sky…. Sonic smirked. There was only one explanation that he knew of when he saw airships and smoke. “A party?!” He exclaimed in a smug tone, “Eggman started a party and didn’t invite –me-!? The jerk.” He looked over, closing his eyes while placing his hands on his hips and taking a deep breath. The grin on his face was probably larger than Dr. Robotnik’s ego. “Ah, well. I guess that means I’ve got to crash it. I mean, I crash parties so well.” He paused as he began running towards the city, “… Maybe that’s why Eggy didn’t invite me. He just wanted me to make things more fun by me crashing the party instead of just inviting me. Maybe I shouldn’t call him a jerk after all!” He passed through the gates as a blue blur, and started to speed through to the place with the most destruction. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
It wasn't something everyone saw every day, but it was something many had heard of. The Blue Blur, 'Priority One,' and a few other names all came to mind. The only part that mattered to Qesun, though, was the fact that if that Blue Hedgehog was going Somewhere and it was odds up that it was where the action was. That place was exactly where Qesun wanted to be. All that Sonic provided was a direction where Qesun had been unsure.
A grin formed on his face as he hit the front breaks hard, lifting the rear of his motorbike and spinning it around, setting the rear tire back down when he got the bike completely turned about, hitting the gas as soon as he did. Smoke kicked up as his bike fought his former momentum and began pushing the other way, QJ now following after Sonic Now was the real trick: Keeping up with someone who, on foot, was rumored to be faster then most vehicles known to people. "At least I'll have some fun before I dive strait into the crap being tossed into the fan. Heck. Maybe I'll have fun with that part as well." |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Dulcy nods to Chadin. "Yeah, I can't really attack from that far away either, so I guess we're going to have to start chasing them around. I do like your idea to go and give our best greeting to Robotnik though, let's go for it!" She says firmly with a smile and tucks her wings in again, going into a dive out of the clouds to pick up speed as she flies off toward Robotnik's flagship, specifically toward it's bridge window. She flies evasively to help avoid any laser fire aimed at her and soon is in front of the huge ship. She then grins before sticking her tongue out at Robotnik. "The white power coating is a good look for you, makes you look like a big doughnut hole! Are you going to eat your weight in doughnuts?" She teases him, and gives Chadin a chance to make his own effort at riling up the mad doctor before she attacks, taking in a deep breath and exhaling a stream of ice through her nostrils, coating the area around the bridge of the ship. She then moves in close and slams her tail hard at the center of the view window, hoping to cause it to break from the sudden shock after being frozen.

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
I held on tight as Dulcy dove straight down to Robotnik's flagship. I had to stiffle a laugh as I saw all the Swatpods rising up into the clouds just as we were diving back out. I don't know if those bots are stupid enough to keep looking around up there for us, but it was still pretty funny.
As we flew up to the bridges window I leaned out from behind Dulcy's large neck and head and laughed at Dulcy's wisecrack about Robotnik and his doughnuts. "Hello fatso! Miss me?! Nice ship by the way. Hope you don't mind if me and Dulcy break it." I shout out at Robotnik and aim my crossbow straight at the big, fat target. Whether Dulcy's attack succeeds in breaking the glass or not, I fire my crossbow at the window, in the hopes the windscreen is either not laser/bullet resistant and that Dulcy's freezing attack manages to shatter the glass. If not, it won't make any difference one way or another. I planned on doing as much damage to Robotnik's ship as possible one way or another. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Tails stays under the ship and grins. "That's exactly what I wanted you to do Robotnik. Eat this upon your flak cannons." He switches on the targeting device. It comes to his viewpoint at a moderate speed and he turns it on very quickly. He brings it to his face and types in a code for it to only aim at flak cannons. The mere fact that the flak cannons were firing made it easier to make a lock on them. Tails finds all of the flak cannons in the vicinity and locked on them. He fires two missiles each at the source of the flak cannons. Tails sends a transmission to Robotnik. "Hey Robuttnik, I got your message. Next time I'll be more careful. But there is something I'd like to say before signing off. Frankly my dear, I don't give a Flak Cannon. " |
