The Battle of Soleanna

[Dr. Robotnik]

[I know Rose's post had her clawing into the head, but we're considering her out of the fight now since she decided to restart.]

Robotnik had a moment of quiet, considering he was buried under the concrete. He decided he would do a damage check before getting back into the fight. After mashing some buttons on the control panel below him, a diagram of Mecha Robo appeared on the screen. Many parts of the robot were highlighted in red or yellow, indicating considerable damage. Worst of all, the head cameras got smashed when he landed flat on the ground. So to see, he would have to open up the cockpit, use his own eyes, and expose himself to enemy fire. Too risky, as far as he was concerned. Robotnik sighed. Looks like his fun was over.

But he did have one more surprise for the Freedom Fighters.

As he got the hulking machine to its feet, he punched a few special codes into the console. On the screen, some text appeared in flashing red. Smirking, Robotnik chose yes. Alarm klaxons started going off inside the cockpit. He sent one more message to his new allies. "Decoe, Bocoe, Bokkun...you may want to get out of here. Join up with one of my transports if you wish to come back to Robotropolis with me."

Meanwhile, he hauled the robot to its feet. The Freedom Fighters would hear and see the concrete chunks being pushed aside, as Mecha Robo struggled to stand erect again. One arm got yanked right out of its socket as the torso appeared, soon followed by the other. It looked like the scene out of a slasher movie where the slasher gets up again after the audience thinks he's been killed for good.

As it stood up, the heroes would get a good look at how much damage the collapsing debris had caused to Mecha Robo. Its head was totally caved in from being smacked right onto the concrete. Only sparking strings of wires spilled out from where the arms once were. Scratches and scrapes and dents covered the entire body.

All the while, alarm klaxons echoed out from the massive robot.

"You win this round, little Freedom Fighting brats. But I will have my revenge, and sooner than you think."

As he said this, Robotnik punched in more commands. This time, he was preparing to fire off his escape program. Until then everyone on the battlefield would have an easy shot at Mecha Robo. Since Robotnik didn't open up his cockpit, he couldn't see, so he could not attack back. But this also meant he'd be protected by his remaining armor.

[Sonic]

Looking over to the robot and listening to Dulcy, he closed his eyes and looked down; smiling.

“Hate to burst your bubble, but I think it already is.” Sonic replied, with his classic smirk. “If your fine, then I’d suggesting spitin’ out of here. As for me, well, I’ve got some unfinished business with the Good Doctor.”

Without a moment to lose, he ran straight for the giant mech. Using his speed, he began to climb up the robot.

[Decoe and Bocoe]

"Decoe, Bocoe, Bokkun...you may want to get out of here. Join up with one of my transports if you wish to come back to Robotropolis with me."

Bocoe didn’t bother to reply back to him after hearing the message. He looked over towards Decoe and Bokkun.

“We need to get out of here, now.”

[ Alright, Decoe and Bocoe are out of the picture. Moving to Egg Flag Ship in Cross-Country]

[Tails]

( No, just in a dead lock. Chadin is on vacation and won't be back until the 26th. Maybe longer. And Ducly just hasn't skiped him. Maybe it's a good idea to allow some people to move? Like the Doc, who's basicly done with the Theard? I dunno. Something would be a lot better than nothing.)

[Dr. Robotnik]

(Are you guys all right with me getting Robo out of the topic? All he's going to do is retreat in my next post.)

(even when Robotnik's gone, we'll still have Rampage to fight. Decoe and Bocoe have already left, so you could just retreat now if you wanted. That'll leave Sonic, Tails, Dulcy, Chadin, Rampage and Qeson. 6 people.)

( I think we need a system for this. It's one thing for a couple of days, but he has been gone for almost a week a beleive. I'm fine with it, Maybe allow people who aren't -directly- attacking Rampage to make a post. Though I doubt Rampage will stay around. )

[Dr. Robotnik]

[Since Chadin's going to be gone a while, I approve of Rose's idea. Just don't attack Rampage directly in the meantime. If you want to simply leave the topic, that's okay too. I'd hate for you to be stuck here and have nothing to do. If you want to keep fighting, perhaps you could say your characters are looking to regroup...perhaps looking for weapons or medical supplies. Then Rampage could just find you later and start up the fight again when Chadin's ready.

In the meantime, I'm moving Robotnik out of here since he's basically done with this fight and there are other things I want to do with him.]

Robotnik heard a thump as Sonic started to climb up the outside of his robot. He tutted and shook his head. "I don't think so, Sonic." The doctor took one last look at his monitor, which displayed the following text.

ACTIVATE ESCAPE PROTOCOL?

>YES NO

After punching yes, Robo Mecha's head shot off of the body like a little rocket, before it exploded in mid air. Then the torso of the robot separated in half, leaving a large rut going vertically down the front of the chest. The two halves blasted away from the main body. Now Robotnik sat in his Egg Pod, fully exposed, atop only Robo Mecha's legs. He gave a little sneer and laughed at the group of freedom fighters in front of him.

"So long, do-gooders! We'll play another day!" he said, as he waved to them. The Egg Pod's rocket booster came online, quickly shooting it into the sky and back towards the Egg Carrier. Obviously Dulcy couldn't pursue him right now, but Tails probably could if he wanted to try. For that matter, Sonic could also try grabbing onto the Egg Pod and hanging on, although one had to wonder what he could do afterwards.

This left the lower crotch and legs from Mecha Robo still standing on the ground below. However, the robot's alarm klaxons were still being emitted from the legs. In fact, they seemed to be getting louder. The legs slowly started walking towards the group of heroes. An electronic female voice boomed out from them.

"SELF DESTRUCT IN 20...19...18...."

[Robotnik is heading towards the Egg Flag Ship, but like I said Tails could chase him before he gets there if he wanted to.]

[Tails]

Tails sees Robotnik trying to escape and he sees this as a chance to make himself feel like a natural born hero. Tails doesn't reply to Qenson question and races for his Tornado airplane.

Tails gets into the airplane and follows Robotnik. "You won't escape me Robotnik! Here I come."
