Thoughts on the road
I enter into my police car and drive through the calm city. Without knowing what'll happen next, I drive into my driveway that I know is about three miles away from Giichi's house. Before I take any further initiative, I need to see what I can get about Giichi that I don't already know.

This'll be the fate of me and everyone else in the city. Who in the hell do they think they are. They can't just come this way. Whatever happens, I can't wait to meet Giichi and maybe tell a white lie about him needing to pay his taxes. Maybe disguise it as something he cares about, but what would he care about? I bet, even as a cat, he'll be awfully cute.

No time to think about how cute he is though, I need to get some of my side job complete before the army gets here and I'll also have to worry about if there's a city somewhere. The only lucky thing about this is that I live close by him. I need to see why he hasn't been paying his taxes and where exactly is his money going. I have a feeling there's more to this case than just tax evasion.

RE: Thoughts on the road
I walk into my house and close the blinds. I grab my laptop and some organic carrots while turn on my Internet. Luckily, I filed my computer under the police section in the FBI profiles. But I don't wanna look into that information as of yet - it'll basically say what I already know about Giichi.

I type in his name on Google and I find a vast entry of articles about who he is. Some articles have crimes of Giichi robbing people right under their noses with acrobatic tendencies. I find it to be pretty interesting, but we've arrested him for that already and the company he works for just set him free as soon as he got in there. I can't have that on my conscience!

For awhile there seems to be no loop holes to pin him for anything other than tax evasion and I already know sending him to jail isn't going to do jack squat. He'll just get out the moment we get him in there.

I went to the next page and start seeing thank you notes from charities. Why would he be giving money to charities? I better look further into this.

RE: Thoughts on the road
As I look at the first charity website, I get a phone call from the chief. I, at first, don't answer it because I wanna get this done... but I can't ignore him. I answer it as I look at the website to see how much money Giichi invested into the charity.

The chief says urgently. "Tech, I got a message from Princess Elise. I want you to stop whatever you're doing and get people to get into their houses as Princess Elise ordered."

I sigh. "Look chief, you and I both know that if an army is on the way that they won't be hiding in their homes. They'll be evacuating. I'll look outside for you if you wish."

The chief replies with a brash attitude. "You better do it, at least do that or you're fired."

I leave my computer for the moment and look out the window and see people packing their luggage in cars and driving off. "Yes, they're leaving. I'm sure if you look outside, you'll see them evacuating as well. Can you look outside?"

The chief looks outside from the Police Station. "You're right. Everyone's leaving and I don't blame them. Okay, what were you doing?"

"I was getting information on Giichi."

"How far have you gotten?"

"It looks like he gives money to charities."

"Good. Keep finding something we can nail him with. Just don't make your mission as arestting him, got it?"

"Got it, Chief."

RE: Thoughts on the road
The chief asks one final time. "Where do you think we should tell them to evacuate until this blows over?"

I reply as I head back to the computer. "Higara grasslands would be a superb choice."

The chief agrees and hangs up.

I sit down on the computer and enter my game. I check the record of his payments in the charity website. It appears he gives at least a decent amount in the charity. As I scroll down, it appears the most he gives is fairly decent.

I reach the end of this website and it thanks Giichi for giving them money. That may be impressive in a standpoint if you didn't know how he got that kind of money. I do know how he stole the money. It would probably be unlawful and injustifiable if I were to ask them to give back that money.

I need to check some more of these websites to get a clear view of the types of things that Giichi has invested in through these charities. I might be able to find where he's sending all of his money.

But first, I write down the total that Giichi gave to the website, I write down the website address and I write the ways in which to contact the charity itself.

RE: Thoughts on the road
I look through each individual charity website and each charity got a significant amount of money from Giichi.

The three charities with the most money, although it isn't too much money in a stand point; from Giichi is either for children, education, or hospitals. The charities that have never gotten any money or - rather - support from Giichi have been websites that support military or anything to do with the government.

I also see a circus company under Giichi's name. It still appears to be prospering, but that's saying very little compared to other salaries that are received from other art forms. I'll admit that my salary is pretty low as well with what I have to risk to keep others safe, but it isn't this low. Its sad to see that Giichi has abandoned his parents.

There's yearly updates of the pictures of the crew. The pictures regardless of how old stays in the atchives. It appears that his family is either in their late forties or early fifties. The website also gives its regular updates and schedules as to where the crew will stop for an event.

I need to look into these pictures.

RE: Thoughts on the road
I go six years back on the pictures when Giichi was marked as 18 in the transcripts. Apparently he had his pictures taken before he left. I find it a little odd that on this picture the family look sad even though Giichi looks happy as hell that he's going to leave after the picture. It feels sad in my heart that Giichi would just abandon his family.

I go another year back and this doesn't surprise me despite Giichi's record. The family looks happy and Giichi looks like he's staring off in the distance or into space; whichever works. I can tell that at this point Giichi was at the peak of his muscular physique before he decided to stay one more year and leave.

I go back another year and it appears Giichi is fairly muscular and its the same picture as the last one. Giichi staring off somewhere and the other family looking happy. I wonder, considering circuses move all the time, if Giichi ever got a decent education. I guess there's only one way to find out. Its doubtful that he did get a decent education.

I get out of the pictures, but not the website. I know for certain that the family is still keeping track of Giichi somehow. I click on the button marked articles.

RE: Thoughts on the road
First article: date appears to be a couple weeks after he left the circus.

Giichi was witnessed today avoiding his taxes. We got him in jail for only a moment and he escaped, the authorities said. It isn't easy bagging someone in jail when someone works for the thieves guild. For a while he has also been using his circus given skills to rob banks and steal things in other people's houses.

The banks can be proven but the other things can't. It doesn't appear that he robs a lot of banks. So far, trying to catch and find the money that he stole is very hard to do. We don't have a clue as to how he gets so rich but never appears to have any money. We've tried getting him to pay his taxes from his bank accounts, but it doesn't appear that he has anything to do with banks.

***

I stop reading the article for a second and think about this. Thanks to these charity websites, now I know where that money goes that he never seems to have. Hmm. This Giichi character is an interesting little cookie. I wonder what else he's trying to hide from me.

I'll call the chief.

The chief answers the phone. "What is it Tech?"

I ask. "How close is that fleet from Soleanna.?"

The chief explains. "They're not that far from here. They'll be here within an hour or so. So did you find anymore on Giichi?"

I explain the situation about the charity and the chief suggests that I figure out a type of charity that I could wire to the government and convince Giichi to invest his money into for the taxes.

I reply. "I'l call you back chief when I figure out an idea. So far I don't think if we do a charity that he'll invest a lot of money into it. I need to figure out something entirely different. Something that'll really get his fire going. Maybe like a couple dates."

The chief shakes his head. "I don't think that's such a good idea to sale yourself to someone just to get the taxes. A charity will work better."

I reply. "Should I go down there so we can figure out a form of charity?"

He replies. "Yeah, but not right now. I want you to watch the news, now! Keep track of when Robotnik gets here."

"Roger."

RE: Thoughts on the road
I turn on the news and the reporter prepares to speak.

"So far most of the citezens are gone and at Higara Grasslands, but there are still some here in immense traffic. Zoom in the camera on the five ships on the way."

The camera man turns around and zooms in on the demise of Soleanna. "if you look closely you can tell that ships are massive and their already in a fight of their own. However, robotnik is just a few kilometers from reaching the city. If anyone's out there that can fight as well... help us!"

The camera man goes back to the reporter. "This is pandemonium. Someone or something will fall. If there isn't enough firepower to go around in the small military of Soleanna then we're perished. We might still have a chance if the police help out as well. If there are any police watching this, we need you down here to help us now."

The chief calls my phone. "Tech, you know what to do."

I shut down my computer. "Don't worry chief, I'm already on it."

I walk out of my house and into the police car.
