Quest for old sap! Drake in the forrest!
The large fox let out a small growl. Priscilla had sent him to fetch some ever-sap. The dread knight had to travel far into the Great Forrest to find a tree old enough to produce such a thing. It took him almost a week of walking to get here. Though for one such as Drake, that was something that could be done with little trouble. He was more then used to traveling alone, knowing what to eat and how to trap was nothing for him. Finding a nice spot where he could see several trees that could be the ones he was searching for.

He spread his plated wings creating a dark shadow over his upper body, blocking out the sun from his view. The metal plates made a grinding soun, sending birds and small critters scampering. It wasn't so much that the sun was bothering the vulpine, He needed an unobstructed view of the trees to see if any had what he was looking for.

After staring at the trees he found one that would satisfy he needs. Wielding the Kinslayer in his right grip, he swung the sword in a wide arc, cutting about half way into the elderly tree.A thick green-ish goop began to trickle out of the side of the tree. Pulling the giant sword out, he readied for another chop.

RE: Quest for old sap! Drake in the forrest!
Falina was out for a relaxing stroll through the boundless beauty of the Great Forest, having just finished her daily practice only a short time ago. She was armed with her sword, as she always was these days, the scabbard tied to her waist with a simple cord of thick rope. The sharp thwack in the distance, sounding like metal on wood caught her attention though, her ears swiveling toward the noise as she took off running toward it, really having no clue what to expect.

When she came into view of the large old tree, and the large armored being that was flying near it with an impossibly large sword in his hands, she stops suddenly, skidding to a halt as she looks up at him with a shocked expression. She couldn't believe the size of that sword, and figured she could hardly even lift such a blade, let alone swing it. Though, the sword itself only held her gaze for a moment before her attention focused on the gash it had left in the tree. Her tail twitches as anger bubbles up inside her, overriding any fear she might feel looking at the large swordsman. "Hey! You there! Stop that at once! That tree has been growing here for generations! I demand to know why you are cutting it up with your sword!" At the moment, seeing how deep the gash was, she wondered if the old tree was already doomed to die, but surely another cut like that would seal it's fate.

Relic stopped for second, letting his sword drive into the dirt. The large blade sunk a quarter of it's length into the ground on it's own weight. The knight once again threw his scalemail wings open. Turning to face the questioner. "This tree holds what I seek, it's destruction serves her needs!"

Once again Relic took up his sword, with lumbering, slow movements he readied it again. Holding his right arm far back to give the kinslayer maximum velocity at the point of impact. Relic was gigantic and each og his actions seemed to for ever. Positioning himself in the correct stance, arching his sword back even attempting the swing seemed to take up the span of minutes, what someone else would have done in seconds.

Falina blinked at his answer, not understanding any reason you would need to destroy a tree to get what it hods other than to use it's wood for construction, and for that purpose, there was really no reason to cut down an ancient tree instead of a much younger but still well grown tree, in her mind anyway. Generally you didn't cut down a tree with a sword either.

She watched him lift his sword again and assumed he was going for another strike. She cried out as she ran over toward him, almost putting herself between him and the tree, but better judgement and fear talked her out of that extreme move to protect the tree. "Please, stop! There is no reason for the senseless destruction of nature. Please I beg you, your killing the tree."

Relic did not heed her, even when it looked like she was about to throw herself between the sword and tree. With a mighty heave he brought the sword from his right side to his left, going through what was left of the tree. The momentum carrying him, forcing him to make a full rotation before coming to a stop.

The tree creaked and groaned as it began leaning to one side. "This tree serves her purpose, I serve her purpose, If need be you.... will serve her purpose!" His voice was deep and forboding, yet it clearly contained no malice or ill feelings towards the doe. It was just Relic wasn't very keen on the whole concept of idle chat. With his over sized left gauntlet he latched onto the oak tree, attempting to stabilize it. With some minor difficulties, he managed the feat. Had the tee fallen so quickly his work would have been for naught.

She now glared fiercely at Relic, positivly furious as she pulls out her sword and holds it ready, pointed toward him, while raising her voice even further. "What is this purpose that is so important that you needed to cut down a tree that has been a part of this forest, which is my home, for several hundred years? I don't appreciate strangers coming along and tainting the beauty of my home, I won't stand for it!"

Allowing the kinslayer, a sword that dwarfed Falina in size let alone the sword she had pointed at Relic, to drop to the ground once again. He continued to steady the tree, fully ignoring the doe's threatening position.
Though he did bother to answer her question. "This sap..." As he spoke he proceeded to bore a hole into the tree with his left gauntlet, having a stream of golden-ish sap flow from the puncture.

"This sap, that will fuel the fires of her passion. Fanning the flames that she alone will command!" once again he opened his scale mail wings, his voice his a dramatic rise. He may have just been a slave, but he took pride in fulfilling his debts, and Priscilla's every whim for the next few decades was his job to make real.

"Strike me down at no cost, but you will rue endangering her desires!" Drake let out a fierce warning, losing this sap would set him back weeks, somethign that wouldn't go very well with his master.

Despite how furious she was, she still did not attack, not yet anyway. "Sap? That is all you are after? There are much less destructive ways to get sap from a tree... And what the heck do you need a bunch of old tree sap for?" She asked in a sudden bit of lighter curiosity, not able to think of any real use for sap herself other than as a base for glue perhaps. She quickly returned to anger though, as she spoke to him further, though she did remain civil now. "Please, I ask that you leave this forest, now."

Having collected the gooey substance into a brown sack he had taken off his belt. The dread knight scanned the area for another tree that would fit his criteria. Another hundred year old tree was needed. He spotted what could be a tree that would yield the type of sap he desired, it was located a few meter behind the doe lecturing him.
Raising the kinslayer above his head, he took a practice swing. Bearing the giant downward. The wind generated from the movement of such a colossal object moved Falina's hair wildly. Watching her hair in the wind, gave Drake an idea, He returned the sword to his back, a signal he would no longer use the weapon.

She blinks as he raises the sword again, then gasps in shock, a look of terror filling her face as he swings the sword toward her, thankfully over her head. She shivers a bit at the wind that came off the swing, an image coming to her mind of what it would have been like if that swing had been a bit lower. She would back away now, still thinking of the image of her being cut in half, before looking up at him again. "Seriously though, if you want sap you can drill a hole in the bottom and put a hollow spike into the tree, then let the sap drain out into a bucket. Doesn't kill the tree, so you could do this pretty much forever. The way your doing it may get more sap, and get it faster. But sooner or later, you are going to run out of old trees..."
