Relic Drake
Name: Relic Drake

Age: 400+

Sex: M

Species: Fox

Faction: Same as Priscilla's

Alignment: Same as Priscilla's

Appearance: Relic is an extraordinary fox and that is made evident to people at first glance. The first thing notice by people is he stands as a titanic 6' 9", often leaving him towering over others who are of a taller species. His fur is a obsidian black base, with crimson red runic markings on his chest, legs, arms, and muzzle.
Most of the time Drake will be found battle ready, He wears a full suit of ghastly looking armor. Coal black in color it is lined with spikes on the trimming between sections of plate. His full helmet is form fitting, with an articulated mouth piece just for biting people. The ears are not fox like, instead are large dragon like frills leading some to believe the armor wasn't originally intended to be Relic's. The left gauntlet has little utility outside of being a weapon, as it is 5 times as big as it should be and the ends are 4 inch blades with edges facing in. Each of the grieves ends in 4 separate talons, once again lending to the idea that the armor wasn't made for Relic. The armor also posses a set of 7' scale mail wings, having a 15' wing span tip to tip. The wings can be manipulated but cannot allow Drake to fly, glide, or even slow his decent.

Personality: Stern and unmoving on his position. He'll step to any level to what he deems needed to be done, or to fulfill what he feels obligated to do. Has an almost infinite reservoir of willpower allowing him to combat subversion and situations of pressure easier then most.
Locked into a static level of manic, Relic will be more antagonized at a calm level, but when a situation escalates he will not lose his relative cool. Makes him function much better in dire situations and sub par in all others.

Weapons:
Relic can only have 2 weapons equipped at one time.

Midnight bliss - Relic's left gauntlet. As stated before it is grossly over sized and has blades for tips. The wrist lends to the draco design of the armor, having thick, reptilian like frills extend from the wrist. This weapon is always considered equipped if worn.

Necroshine - A magical artifact, an emerald green orb over flowing with sol energy. It has the ability to form into one of 3 weapons. The weapon will be made of a ghastly green energy crackling with wicked power.
Repeated attacks made against the formed weapon will have it break and the orb rendered unworking for 5 turns. Any energy drain attack can affect the orb, siphoning off energy and instantly breaking the formed weapon.
The weapon can form into either a scythe, 10 foot chain with the tinsel strength of steel and a bladed ring 5 feet in diameter.

Kinslayer - A 7 and half foot zwaihander, a two handed sword with the purpose of killing a horse in battle to demount the rider. The sword has a giant hook hollowed into the blade near the end allowing it to grapple people to a certain extent, the blade is serrated like a steak knife and the reverse side has a multitude of spikes running down it.
Possessed by evil spirits the sword hates Drake with all it's passion. While wielded by Relic it will always miss hitting an enemy target with any slash attack. When wielded by a neutral or villain it will lend it's strength allowing any one to wield it. That strength is not unlimited after 3 turns of moderate use the sword will begin feeding on it's wielders life force to power the evil sword. Drake must use his own brute strength to wield the sword and while equipped it drains his life force just because it can. After being moderately damaged Relic can not wield the weapon with out ignoring the slowing and weakening effects, after being severely damaged he can no longer wield the sword or risk collapse.

Dark Aegis - A 2 foot wide 3 foot long kite shield. Offers 90% magic absorption while equipped, all magic attacks will home in on the wielder to a degree while equipped as well.

Biography: No question this will be expanded later.
Relic is from a background of might and magic.

Setting
Relic lived in a time of might and magic. Wizards and witches not being wide spread, still possessed weight on the world around them. The technological state of the world wasn't far passed the middle ages. Lords and vassals owned and worked the land respectfully.
The dominant force, The Holy Order of Knights, was a collections of the prominent nations finest knights to be commanded by Complete Chaplin. The Complete Chaplin was the highest authority in the Holy Order and commanded as much or more power then any king, able to declare laws that transcend borders..
Mannia is an energy all living things possess. It is a very loose energy that can mimic any other energy it interacts with. The most common is the life force that keeps people moving and well living. That is why people who possess a high amount of mannia are known for living longer.

First hundred years;
Relic Drake was born Drake D. Martur, He was a strong lad and soon excelled at becoming a fierce squire. He was chosen out of the squires to become a holy knight because of the principles he displayed in his character. He never complained, hardly spoke, seldom wanted more then what he was given and preformed his duties down to the T.
There Drake quickly rose to the rank of a paladin, showing little more then mediocre skills in the arcane, greatly excelling at the physical side.
Tirelessly Drake crusaded for the Knight's of the 7th Holy Order, Becoming known as Drake the Lionheart.
During this time it had been discovered that Drake possessed in his body an extremely large amount of the life giving energy known as mannia (I'm so clever). The discovery took place during a series of investigation on why the holy knight was growing to such a large proportion, reaching nearly 7 feet when the average person hit 5. It was determined at the age of 27 that Drake was going to have a long life span, he may even live to see past 100 the doctors stated.

A few years after this, the first fateful encounter in Drake's life came about. The Dragoon knight of fire, Maximus had appeared. Terrorizing the country side with ebony armor and lance of fire. The black knight packed wickedly blessed legs, rumored to have been able to out run any horse with his armor on.
Drake and fellow paladins, totaling 4, clashed with the black knight, unlike before Drake wasn't the physically superior one in the battle. All the paladins where battered to their breaking point with in the hour, the last one standing was Drake due to his overwhelming vitality.
Deciding he must do something or his life, his fellow paladins lives and the lives of the surrounding area would all be jeopardized, He concocted a risky plan to disarm the knight of his weapon.
Allowing the knight to pierce through his body, he grappled the lance from the dragoon knight. Going in for the kill, a fellow paladin tried to stop him "wielding that wicked artifact is heresy!" he shouted, Drake payed no heed plunging the lance through the black knight whom did not possess quite the same constitution as Drake.
Heavily wounded and now considered a heretic, Drake knew he couldn't go back to the Holy Order. The paladin who witnessed his deed was John the Pius, a paladin that would rather die then break one ideology of the Order. Keeping the lance Drake made his way into the country side, even with such a severe wound he was the only one who could walk properly.
The lance held in hand was a magical artifact beyond the making of the thunder headed black knight whom wielded it. While avoiding the Holy Order's attempt to capture him Drake began his search for the maker of the vile weapon. He began finding other users of such weapons, beating them and conducting on the spot interrogations, making his way up the chain of distribution Drake found his way to the dark wizard Drumlore.
Drake found his attack met with some odd incantation, a rune appearing on his chest and then subsiding.
"Vile fiend, you're magic will not stop me from bringing swift retribution upon thy head!"
"Fool, you're no longer a paladin and soon you will no longer be of the living!"
With that the wizard unleashed an lack luster fire ball. Having waded through countless spells Drake thought no different of this one. To his surprise the attack grew tremendously, scorching his armor him and searing his very flesh. The ex-paladin had been cursed to take incredible damage from magical spells. To the wizards surprise Drake stood up from the assault "Defiance!" the now blackened knight shouted, his every breath chocked with caked up blood. He invoked his most sacred spell. With standing 2 more sizable fire balls before he reached the wizard, to kill him with the white hot gauntlet, heated from the very fire blast that had been scorching him.
Drake collapsed to his knees, having fulfilled what he thought was his duty, he was content with passing away. Before long agents of the Holy Order came bursting in, having been on Drake's trail for many decades.
With that they carried the burnt knight, treating his wounds in the Holy Order Capital, denying him his eternal rest.
Having been nursed back to a full recovery, Drake was then thrown into the dungeon and left to rot and enjoy his 100'th birthday.

Drake had caught a break, only spending a short time in prison a rather violent and restless prisoner had been brought in. The two had been considered high level threats and it was deemed necessary to transport them to a better equipped jail to prevent escape. The other prisoner was a tiger wanted for raiding a fair amount of towns. The two of them where loaded into a carriage and carted off. Mid way through the travel, the carriage was attacked. The tiger's bandit buddies had come to spring him free and subsequently Relic too.

Feeling in debt to the tiger, Relic joined the group of bandits. The Tiger's name was Nathan Kubrick. Relic had recognized him as the leader of a mercenary group and was surprised to find out that this was in fact the same mercenary group. They had fallen on hard times since peace had settled into the lands. Accepting some basic equipment, Relic soon became one of the best raiders in the group. He caught the attention of the others by usually refusing to fight, opting to grab what he aimed for and escape. No matter what wounds he suffered little slowed him down.

After one specific raid, Relic found himself camped out in a mausoleum. There he heard a strange voice calling to him. A faint whisper. Compelled by the voice he lifted the gargantuan stone cover. Inside was the remains of warrior. What lay next to him was a titanic sword. The source of the faint voice. "Use me...." it tell him. Relic was more interested in the armor that the weapon sat next to. This was the first time he had come across armor that seemed his size with out being made for him. He took up the onyx armor, it felt sturdy but sinister. He grabbed the sword, he didn't know why but he did.

Upon coming back to the camp that the ex-merc's had set up. Relic found that the sword had an extreme thirst for blood. He nearly killed a bandit with a single swing. Coming to his senses before he demolished the man. "Slay your kin..." the sword demanded. "No." Relic responded, placing the sword into the ground before it could do more harm. The entire camp was taken back by the incident. They only recognized Relic by his large size. The armor made him look more reptilian then fox and gave off a murderous vibe.
Relic made a decision on the spot, taking up the sword and turning his back on the mercs. It was clear that these items were evil and if he almost fell victim to it's corruption with his great will, how would a weaker being fair?

Next 200 years
Drake spent the next two centuries on his own enigmatic crusade against evil. He dabbled in the dark arts, following through with arcane rituals to increase his strength and stamina all at the cost of his magical residence. Seen only as an enigma that appeared in battle and wrecked havoc on those he considered unjust before disappearing back into the shadows.
After searching for scores upon scores, Drake found who he had been searching for, A vile wizard, named Sykes, who was connected with a majority of dark and obscene artifacts. Several of which Drake had come into possession of.
Slaying the wizard with no shortage of difficulty, Drake stashed his equipment into one of the wizards death trapped vaults, deciding none should ever use them again. Badly weakened from his battle with the grand evil wizard, and hoping to not have to repeat this quest a third time, Drake put up little resistance to being captured by the Holy Order.

Almost a hundred years pass and a new prisoner catches Relic's ear, claiming she isn't a witch and that she was attacked by the same evil threat from a century ago. Deciding to break free from prison, he burst the chains holding him captive to the wall, the guards proved little challange for the dread knight even with unarmed as he was. Demandng if what she pleaded was true. She told him it was and Relic, believing her, decided he would once again lay the great evil to rest, no matter the cost.
The first leg of the journey was to collect the artifacts Drake had acquired before, to bring himself back up to full power. Along this trip it is discovered that the girl, her name Isabella, is in fact a witch, but she swears that she is just connected with nature, that the Holy order have become disconnected with the earth in favor of heaven. They go as far as to label those not lock step with them as heretics. Witnessing her earht magic do things such as create flowers and heal wound from combat, he could see nothing wrong with this white magic.
Back at full power and having comradely with the witch Relic faced the great evil. The dread knight was not the only one who gathered companions. The evil wizard now had a devilish wolfess at his side, who's threat lay in her cunning not magical prowess. With the help of the she wolf, Priscilla, the evil mage Sykes had infiltrated the holy order and was on the verge to bringing it's warriors to their knees. Relic engage the dark figure once again, bearing the same power the evil being fed on back at it. Not wanting to lose a second time, the evil being began tore open a rift into a place that would destroy all that entered.
An expert in teleportation magics Priscilla managed to divert most of the party to a dimension that wouldn't kill them, leaving the dark lord to his own devices.
Relic, Isabella, Priscilla and the rest of the Holy Order guards had been left on the current world of SA. Relic demanded Priscilla transport atleast the guards back, so they can get medical attention. With nothing left in the way of leverage, the she-wolf did the only thing she cold do. She bluffed.
Relic had to become her servant for her to do such an act, the large fox did not hesitate to agree, not wanting to delay medical help. Isabella stayed with the fox and wolf, having become good friends with Relic and wanting to make sure Priscilla dd not abuse him as much as possible.

Combat Style: A juggernaut of melee combat, Relic has an incredible staying power allowing to survive wounds that would kill others out right. Combined with a sturdy toughness he is able to shrug things off that would cripple others. As for his strength, he single handily wields the Kinslayers, albit not as well as a one handed sword. His strikes don't come close to someone like Knuckles, but his total body strength is something to fear. Slow and foreboding, Relic mainly uses his left gauntlet to attack, filling in with the necroshine as needed. The Dark Aegis helps him somewhat if the enemy has magical prowess.
Drake wields the kinslayers for a multitude of reasons, he fears what others would do with it and also as a way of self punishment, the sword can only hit his enemies with weak jabs or grapples to bring the foe closer. When Relic uses the Kinslayer, the area he is fighting in often suffers the most damage.

Moves:
Divine wrath: Relic makes a challenge to the heavens and they respond, sending a wicked thunderbolt to fry the knight. The lightning is magical in nature and must be stopped magically. Being in a enclosed area will do nothing. With out the Dark Aegis this will nearly KO Relic and with it, around 5 - 6 will put him close to lights outs.

Darkness wing flaps: Using his wings at a medium Relic Drake sends waves of energy to push/pull his opponent. The energy also moves air causing a gale of wind to form in the same direction as the maninia. Drake can choose to send the energy forward, pushing things in front of him and pulling those in back and vice versa. He can also choose to send the energy up wards pulling everything ground level to him and vice versa.
Being moved by this energy is rather gentle, those charging moves that can be interrupted will not be interrupted, nor will any lose balance while being pushed or pulled. The energy moves at 8/mph and is how much it takes to offset being moved.

Cruel blessing: Drakes blesses his enemies, granting them 300% speed and 300% strength. There is no stamina buff, so these increased actions cost the same as doing things X3 times faster/stronger. Also once blessed all actions are done normally at the increased rate. One would have to put 30% of their effort into an action to get a 'normal' result. Also due to an increase in heart rate and breathing, one feels a slight rush, this can also be distracting. This last at least 3 turns, If the blessed enjoy it it can last as long as 10. The first action must be to dodge a blessing or it will hit.

Breaker: Relic charges a hit for one turn, letting out a wave of crimson crackling energy the next turn. The energy comes in a thin crescent, with verticals needing to be side stepped and horizontals needing to be jumped/ducked. At close range the crescent does 50% of what the hit would have done if landed. At long range, from 6' to 15' doing only a quarter. The speed is determined by the power, with stronger hits being slower. At the point of creation, Drake takes a backlash of the other 50%, the damage. This move is considered physical and does not do increased damage to Drake and is easily blocked by conventional ways (I.E. shield, sword, arms) Also it is still a spell and any move that would affect a spell also affects this. (I.E. magical blocking, redirect, magic eating)

Whisper of Oblivion: Relic embraces the enemy bringing them close and whispers into their ear a truth so shocking and tragic it breaks their will to resist, most of the time. Other times they will be sent into a primal rage or even the exact opposite will happen fully restoring their spirits. Once per person per fight, Broken will last for at least 2 turns, rage is 3, high spirits for the rest of the battle. Being broken or enraged can last for the whole battle.

God hand: Relic thrust his left arm at breakneck pace to capture a foe. Unstoppable once launched. Relic's ultimate technique it's only down fall is that Relic is unable to attack one turn after preforming it. Including if he grabs, meaning he must keep a captured foe in his grasp for at least one turn before being able to capitalize. Since Drake has an immensely strong grip breaking free is a hard but not impossible task.

Sol/Chaos
Chronol rage: Using the powers of sol energy, Drake speeds himself up in time X2, Making him twice as fast for 10 turns. Since he is not actually moving faster he does not hit harder because he has no increased velocity.

Cronus breaker: While in Chronol rage Relic transfers the time energy outward freezing all magic and inorganic objects excluding worn clothes and soft armors and gases. The time bubble extends for 250 feet around Drake. Heavy armor, such as Drake's, is not excluded. The bubble last for the remainder of what should have been Chronol rage. So if he was in the mode for 3 turns, Cronus breaker last 7 turns.

Skills:

Strengths: Tough, capable of taking hits more then any one else by far. Strength, while many others may hit harder, Relic is capable of out lifting almost any one else. Tactician, Relic can produce effective war strategies with in a short time. Versatile, with 4 weapons giving him ranges from close range melee to extended far, Relic is capable of fighting on any terms aside from exchanging sniper rounds.

Weaknesses: 13X damage from magic, Lagging movements, slow attacker, reliant on equipment, highly self damaging, Hesitant attacker.
Relic has tough time aiming low, being so tall and having little offensive options with his legs.

RE: Relic Drake & Lady Priscilla (WiP)
I don't think I like the idea of that orb being able to become pretty much any weapon at will. Limit it to three forms.

How did he live so long? I don't think your profile ever goes into detail about that.

How did he break free from prison? If he could have done it any time he wanted to, why did he wait 100 years to do it?

You know, come to think of it, the backstory does leave a lot of other unanswered questions. But you said you were going to expand on it so I guess I'd want to wait and see how it's fleshed out.

I think...ability-wise at least...he could get into the RP.

Noka, Viper, Chadin...what do you guys think? Other comments would be nice.

Personally I don't like the orb. At all.

RE: Relic Drake & Lady Priscilla (WiP)
Well the orb copies the shape of any weapon but doesn't mimic them perfectly, swords are near useless because of the no slashing. Really only limited to spears, whips or crushing weapons like hammers, maces and flails.
That and I forgot to add something, Nail will know that I intended to have this originally, The orb has a 1/3 chance every 3rd turn to randomly shift into a weapon while being used. I'll ask some random person what weapon, or even let my opponent decide. The idea is there's only a few useful weapons to use plethora of useless weapons.

I could put a 3 weapon thing, but that would make the weapon slightly better then what I have planned for it.

I agree too about the orb. It'd be better if you just had some other weapon or if this orb were restricted to like two or three forms.

Not to mention, no one else on this board has anything that requires a random number generator. That's just a bit too much for me.

You know, I think I'd like to know more about the time period that Drake lives in. There's not a lot of background on it in the biography.

RE: Relic Drake & Lady Priscilla (WiP)
The last bit of the biography's pretty confusing and could do with a rewrite.

Ability-wise and weapon-wise I think I'm okay with almost everything. We've never had a slow bruiser-type character before and I think he could be an interesting addition to the RP. Everyone (including me) tends to go for the light speedster-type characters.

Quote:Whisper of Oblivion: Relic embraces the enemy bringing them close and whispers into their ear a truth so shocking and tragic it breaks their will to resist, most of the time. I feel a little iffy about this move. It seems like it's awful random in what it does. Don't you think that other characters might abuse that to get an advantage?

RE: Relic Drake & Lady Priscilla (WiP)
Well, Albin would have to take that Honer. Though I would have loved to be the first.

As for the whisper, I trust my fellow RP''ers. Also any one of those 3 can be harmful. Feeling good about yourself won't really stop back hand.

I rewrote the last part of the bio, hope it makes more sense.
