RE: Egg Command Tower
He was surprised that he didn’t trip when the robot pushed him forward, but he miraculously managed to keep his balance and still continue to stand. He clutched himself quickly as though he was trying to stop himself from shaking so badly, as his entire frame felt as though it was to collapse in on itself. He took a deep breath, which sounded more like a gasp for air as he tried to get a grip on his nerves. It was not the pitch black darkness that scared him (since his bad eyesight was equivalent); nor was the completely silence. It was the idea of the unknown; the thought of what was waiting for him. Darkness and silence didn’t harm you, but the unknown could.

RE: Egg Command Tower
A few minutes later, all of the lights snapped on in the room with absolutely no warning. If one looked up at the ceiling, it would feel like staring into a second sun. Like the floor, the entire room consisted of nothing but bare concrete walls and ceiling...except for one wall made entirely of opaque glass.
"Sit," a SWATbot said over a loudspeaker. The room contained absolutely no furnishings, so Alta would have to sit on the floor. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
As soon as the lights flashed on, he closed his eyes and covered them with his left arm. Once it had been on for a few seconds he put his arm down and opened his eyes; squinting before he got used to the light.
Hearing the SWATbot over the intercom, he looked around; expecting to find a chair. Though when no chair was in sight, he looked to the concrete ground and sat down, facing the glass wall. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
"You have not come up in our citizen databanks," the SWATbot simply said. "State your name, occupation, and home address for the record."
Silence again. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
He blinked in confusion. What? What about the accidently destruction of all technology? Maybe they realized that it wasn’t permanent and everything was perfectly -fine-. Though he seriously doubted it.
“Uhh…m-m-m-my n-n-n-name i-i-s- Alta. A-Alta Aldridge.” Oh boy. He wasn’t going to be able to talk straight, was he? He sighed inside. “O-o-o-occupation, r-r-r-r-rob-b-b-b-botisit. H-h-h-h-h-home a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-adres-s-s-s-s-s, is…uhhhh- 3-3-3-3-37 Bak-k-k-k-k-ker S-s-s-s-street, S-s-s-s-station S-s-s-s-s-square.” This is going to feel like forever. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
Alta would hear the sound of a tape being rewound, complete with the squeaky, super fast, high pitched voices. Then a button press. He'd hear his own voice being played back now.
“ Y-yes. And let me g-guess. After they’re f-finished, it’s the r-r-roboticize machine with you. Y-y-yes, I’ve heard all about it.” "You claim Lord Robotnik told you about the Roboticizer. Explain how this is possible. Was it a Robotnik in another dimension?" |

RE: Egg Command Tower
He froze like a deer in the headlights. They HEARED that?! Well, I guess that made sense, but…..they HEADED that?! If they heard -THAT-, the how is it they’re not trying to mention anything else he had said.
“Uhhhh--” Froze again. He couldn’t seem to get an answer out. It was as though his answer was stuck in his throat. He knew he had to answer quickly, but he couldn’t seem to spill it out. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
"Answer the question," the SWATbot said simply. The entire time it spoke in the exact same monotone voice, without varying its pitch or anything. "You will not be released from this room until all of our questions are answered. No one outside of this tower is supposed to know about the Roboticizer, until they are taken to it."

RE: Egg Command Tower
“Yes!” he finally managed to force out, “I-i-it’s as you say. T-t-t-the Doctor from my dimension told m-m-me of it.”
He managed to stutter less in his sentence as he awaited the bot’s answer. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
"What was your--?" the SWATbot's voice was suddenly cut off.
"Okay! That's enough of that!" someone suddenly blurted out, the new voice also coming over the loudspeaker. This voice had a much happier, bouncing tone to it. "God, you're making this boring. I apologize for my colleague. He handles most of the routine prisoner interrogations here. I take over the special cases." Over the speaker, one could hear the sounds of the interrogating SWATbot clunking out of the room. The new voice let out a small chuckle. "Much better. Now we can make this more interesting. Like I said, I'm only brought in for interrogations that look a little more interesting than the hum-drum ones. Usually I'm a lot meaner than this, but your case is very fascinating to me. "So...tell me...how did you know the doctor in this other dimension? Were you an ally of him? You just give off the impression his influence rubbed off on you, with that outfit of yours." |
