Egg Command Tower

RE: Egg Command Tower
When Rose looked at him confused, the doctor started to explain that he was quite frankly terrified of this ordeal he was about to go through. But he figured that wouldn't make him look very strong in front of his allies, so he said nothing. Instead he listened to the others.

When Rose mentioned that she needed to change, Robotnik had a brief imagine spot picturing Rose in a doctor's outfit. Not to mention he wondered where she had kept such a uniform. In any case, if this had to be done, best to get it over with now as unpleasant as it would be. Shaking his head, he looked Rose in the eyes.

"If it must be done, I want to do it now. Let's just get it over and finished."

RE: Egg Command Tower
“It’ll be over before you know it.” Rose replied simply, as she headed towards the door. “Anesthetics tend to do that to you.”

Without even saying how long it would take, Rose left the room. This left Snively in the room with the Doctor, left within the void of awkward silence. He didn’t speak immediately; he was waiting for her to get out of range, if there was one. It couldn’t hurt to try, as he waited to say something. Now was probably a good time for the Doctor to have a private chat with Snively; without Rose breathing down his neck.

“You know, I wouldn’t trust the Axe-Crazy woman around sharp objects,” he began, showing a concerned face. “-But she may actually be trying to help…..maybe.”

RE: Egg Command Tower
Poor boy...

He clearly hated being around Rose, but what choice did he have with those nanobots inside him monitoring him? The doctor reminded himself again to eventually create a cure for those bots, in case she tried the same thing on him. Sure, she still loved and respected him like always, but this Rose again and again reminded him of how unpredictable she was. In any case, Robo decided to respond to what Snively said.

"I don't think I have much choice," he shrugged. "I could probably kidnap some surgeons, but then I'd have even less incentive to trust them."

RE: Egg Command Tower
“I think I’d trust them more than her! He exclaimed, looking a little worn. “I mean, just before all of this maddness happened, she’d been well content to murder you in your sleep.

He was putting as much emphasis to get the matter clear to him. While normally he would have jumped at the chance to get someone to kill his uncle, in his position he was suddenly his saving grace. Because if he could just kill her he wouldn’t have to worry about the nanites in his system being used against him. And then he would be free to go back to where he wanted to be; scheming to take his empire and find Regina. Or perhaps the other way around.

“I’m telling you, you can’t trust her. She could just take bullets to the face and the complain how it’s messed up her massacre!”

RE: Egg Command Tower
Again, as Snively screamed out at him, Robotnik pondered just roboticizing the whole lot of his flesh-and-blood (well mostly) allies and starting over fresh. It would simplify life around here so, so much if he didn't have to keep wondering about who he could and could not trust amongst his so-called friends. The doctor didn't even see it as necessarily being cold-heartedly evil.

It was more pragmatic villainy. He simply wanted the peace of mind in knowing that his throat wouldn't be slit as he slept, or poison slipped into one of the four full chickens he ate each day. It was basically just him ensuring his own survival, nothing more. And that's something every creature on this planet sought after, even his enemy Sonic.

So why didn't he just do it now?

Probably because of the wide range of unpredictable abilities my 'friends' have. Not to mention how difficult it would be to capture and roboticize all four of them before one of them figures out what's going on. It's something that would require detailed study and even more detailed planning.

Regardless, he didn't feel like Rose wanted him dead, at least for the moment. It was probably just Snively being paranoid.

"Snively, if she wanted me dead, I think it would have been much easier for her to just leave me to die in the factory ship, back on Angel Island. Don't you? It's what you'd probably do, am I right?"

He gave a little wink and smile to Snively, in reference to what Rampage had said before about him being a traitorous dog.

RE: Egg Command Tower
The look on Snively’s face as his uncle joked with him hadn’t been pleasant. It was a kind of dull surprise as practically anime sweat-droped. The reason for the strange combination of expression was the fact that he was trying to hide his emotions. The last part of his sentence caught him a little off guard, but as he noted the goofy expression on his Uncle’s face, he figured he wasn’t being serious.

If he was, he was SERIOUSLY messing with his mind.

But something in his gut told him that he was just ‘kidding’ with him. Which meant that his uncle in this universe was a complete imbecile. The better for him, he’d imagine. At least out of all of the likely subjects he could be accusing, he should have been a prime target. But since this Robotnik didn’t even know who he was (and the fact that he’s the most sane) out of the group, his Uncle had chose to trust him. To be honest as much as Rose seemed like she could very well kill the Doctor while he wasn’t paying attention, he already knew himself that Rose probably is the most loyal. Besides that weird thingy that wouldn’t talk much.

“Sir, please. Don’t joke around like that, it makes me uncomfortable...”

Well he wasn’t really lying there.

“But yes, you do have a point. Either way, you should be careful. It seems to me as long as you’re nice to her, things will be fine. It sounded like she wanted to kill you because you wouldn’t let her join the empire as an ally- For whatever reason. I don’t know, but she had been incredible helpful when we where trying to acquire the Chaos Emerald...”

RE: Egg Command Tower
Robotnik frowned at Snively dropping obvious hints that Rose was plotting to overthrow him. He got it. He didn't need any more of those. Not to mention Rampage had been pretty upfront about how Snively himself couldn't be trusted either. So it would be like one big triangle if Rose decided to complete the cycle. Rampage didn't trust Snively who didn't trust Rose who didn't trust Rampage. Of course there was Tatsu, but Robotnik pretty much saw him as completely neutral in this whole internal feud.

With that in mind, maybe he didn't need to roboticize the lot of them after all. If all of them were too busy tattle-tailing on each other, then they'd all be too busy to actually try to betray him. They all kept each other in check. It all worked out quite beautifully, really. While Robotnik didn't feel like saying all of this out loud, he decided to at least paraphrase some of his thoughts.

"Well Snively, despite what you say, somehow I don't think I'll need to worry about any betrayals as long as you, Rose, and Rampage are all around. You all keep each other in check nicely."

RE: Egg Command Tower
Snively looked over as soon as he heard the door open. The sight of Rose in green scrubs is a strange sight; considering her previous attire. Her hair had been put back with a cap over it, and a mask hung from her neck. She was holding onto a tablet in one hand; she didn’t have any gloves, but they could be clearly seen hanging out from her pockets. She looked a little dull (or perhaps tired, sometimes they were hard to tell apart), which was unusual from her happy and somewhat hyper demeanor from before. What would seem unusual was that attached to the upper-right pocket was a card; but it was facing the wrong direction. All that could be seen was some un-important text.

“Alright...everything’s been accounted for.”

She walked over to her work station to pick up the junction point; the last thing she needed.

“I assure you it won’t take long, and you won’t even notice that you had any problems...well, that is if everything goes alright?”

[Time skip, or perhaps Snively deals with stuff? I’m not sure what’s supposed to happen.]

RE: Egg Command Tower
[Yeah, time skip after my post.]

Robotnik didn't like the sound of the last thing Rose said. But did he really have any other options at this point if he wanted to keep his arm? With much hesitancy, he slowly stood up, as he expected to be guided to a table or something like that.

"Let's get it overwith. Do you have a surgical theater or anything set up?"

RE: Egg Command Tower
“Just a normal surgical room. No point in a theater, I’m quite done with those.” Rose replied as she started walking down the hall.

“Wait, what about me?” Snively asked, as he looked at Rose questionable.

“You can stay here. It’s not like you would want to watch.”

---------------------------

Much as Rose had said, the procedure didn’t take very long at all. It was just a matter of getting the junction point in; and letting her nanites do most of the work. Of course, she played a vital part in it too, since she had been controlling them. But after it had gone through, the Doctor was put into a room that was adjacent to the room where the surgery had taken place. She’d already taken off her gloves, as well as the mask and cap, waiting for the Doctor to wake up. She wasn’t sure how anesthetics worked on him.

From where he laid, there was a table in the middle of the room; with two chairs that faced each other. Rose had taken a seat on the left one while the right was empty. Her arms rested on the table as her hands clasped together. She was waiting for some sign that he might be waking up.
