RE: Egg Command Tower
"An old fashioned siege, huh?"
Robonik stroked his chin. It wasn't his style of course. The doctor preferred the grand, intimidating display of many colorful airships coming out of the sky and blowing up everything in sight. However, that didn't work so well the last time he'd tried it, as he recalled the first Soleanna attack. "I think a siege is a great idea. I'm wondering how we'd get the freedom fighters there though... Maybe we could make it look like we're going for another full blown attack and then deploy our new weapon once the Freedom Fighters have entrenched themselves inside the city." |

RE: Egg Command Tower
“Sometimes the best ideas are old ones.” Rose begins sounding a little bored. “Some things just don’t change.”
“Mmyes, or perhaps we can draw them in with the sabotage attacks around the city. Perhaps add a few fake ones to make it seem more random. That way, we keep them guessing.” Rose nodded with what Snively added. It seemed well enough. At least now there was a plan. Things about it would be solved and perhaps new ideas added along the way. Right now, the Doctor and Snively would have to figure out how to make such a barrier. But it was going to be hard if the Doctor did have an arm. “Now that the main idea is settled, could I perhaps change the topic?” she asked, politely. “Doctor, I do believe my preparations are done. And I’m sure you would like your arm back before having to start on anything.” |

RE: Egg Command Tower
"Oh, but of course..." the doctor responded, as he took a nearby seat. He kept his arm in the sling as he waited for Rose to do whatever it was she planned to heal him. Perhaps more nanobots?
"If we're engaging in a siege," he continued as he waited. "I wonder how we will create the shield. To create a forcefield that cannot be breached will require a massive apparatus to go along with the shards." The doctor continued stroking his mustache with his good hand as he kept thinking through things. "If we could, I'd want it to be generated by a satellite in space, where it would be pretty much impossible for the freedom fighters to get to it. That would also allow us to consolidate more forces on Soleanna, instead of having a detachment guard the generator. But we did take a beating in the last two battles, and I don't know if we have the resources for a rocket launch..." |

RE: Egg Command Tower
“For the most part, that sounds like the best idea. And it might take a while before we get this plan into action. We give ourselves a little breathing room with the time it will take.” Snively concurred, as he mulled the thoughts over in his head. “But the last part might be a problem…”
Rose looked rather casually at both of them, as though she didn’t see the problem. It was about that time that she chimed in; throwing her own two cents into the matter. It’s not like she could help them with building it. The least she could do was throw ideas out. “Well, this dimensional merge has certainly brought a lot of things over. Perhaps there’s some military base where you could find a rocket? Or perhaps get the resources.” Looking up into the air while putting a finger under her lip, she said her thoughts aloud. “It might also get us some quick supplies; granted that there aren’t many forces on the base. Would it be too much to send something to scout for it?” “But what if there –are- forces still there? It might be a little too risky.” Snively replied. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
Robotnik had a doubtful look on his face as he thought about looking for a military base elsewhere. As his head bowed down to face the floor, the doctor vaguely stroked the black fabric on his pants with his good hand as he was thinking out what to say.
"One of the first things I did after the merge was deploy a fleet of surveillance bots to map the new world. They didn't find any bases aside from the one for Soleanna's military." His eyes suddenly shot up as if he realized something. "On the other hand, it was only a fast aerial sweep. Perhaps there are things hidden underground. That's where I would hide my greatest weapons, after all. But a seismic search of the underground will take much longer." |

RE: Egg Command Tower
{Uhhh…but Nel, Tutley, and Syhrus are at an abandoned military base right now. o_o;;;}
“Perhaps. But if our resources are spent, maybe we should be focusing on gaining more before any more large scale attacks. Keep the shards away from the Freedom Fighters.” Rose might have begun to see how useful Snively was. He was taking charge of things quite nicely; even for a moron. But it also showed that he might be more of a threat than she anticipated. She would have to be weary about under-estimating him. “Sounds like taking a rest might be a good idea.” Rose chirped in, agreeing with Snively for the moment. “Maybe even focus our attention on what we already have. In the mean time though, I need to start surgery on that arm-” “Woah, wait.” Snively stopped her sentence, perhaps even before the Doctor could reply, “Surgery? I thought you were going to use nanites or…something?” Rose gave Snively a dull look. “For most of the operation I will. But in order for me to actually fix his arm, I have to get his nerves back up. And most likely I’ll have to replace them. That depends on the complete damage though; and I won’t know that till the operation” “What? You can’t just have the nanites fix them?” Snively questioned, somewhat franticly. Perhaps because He was confused about the entire business. “No, because I couldn’t get them immediately after the injury. I might have been able to save some parts, but it’s been too long. It’s not like the nanites in my system, which in a way helps injuries to be less damaging; and even then there is technically room for nerve damage. So, either the nerves are just severed and need to be put back together; or I’m going to have to replace the nerves and use a junction point to connect the old with the new.” |

RE: Egg Command Tower
[I must confess I am not following that plotline, sorry
Anyway, I left room for Robotnik missing it because he said he did a search of the world in a hurry. Totally possible to miss things in those circumstances.]This news of Rose doing surgery on his arm clearly alarmed Robotnik. His eyes almost swelled to the point where they could be seen behind the omni-present shades. Nanites were one thing, but actual medical surgery? He didn't like the sound of that at all. "I...I...trust you were a doctor in a previous life? I mean a medical doctor, not someone like me." This was definitely news to him if she was also as good at working on flesh as machines. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
[That’s okay, I figured as much. I just felt like I should be pointing it out, considering that they are at one. xD
“Well of course. I’ve done plenty of surgeries before. In fact, the medical field is my main one; the nanites came in second. You can’t just create nanites that heal without knowing how the body works to begin with. Though this won’t be a normal surgery; All I have to do is get the junction point in along with any wires to act as nerves. The nanites will be doing the rest. By the time the procedure is done, and the anesthetic wares off you’re arm will be as good as new. Hypothetically, it should work.” Snively found himself to be questioning Rose again; seeming a little more upset. “Hypothetically?!?! You mean to tell me you haven’t done this before?!” He exclaimed with his arms raised in the air as he stormed over towards her. Rose clearly was not amused by Snively’s reaction, as she looked at him with a serious, angry look. Rose had been getting very tired of people asking her pointless questions. Especially Snively, who appeared to know nothing at all. In her mind, she figured that everything was as clear as rainbows, but this constant questioning was proving otherwise. She pointed over to the Doctor, with her eyebrows lightened up a bit. “Colin, do you see his arm over there?” She asked, with a sincere voice. With an odd, irritated look he answered. “Ye-” “IT’S COMPLETELY USELESS!” Quickly without a moment’s hesitation, she yelled directly in Snively’s ear. Her hands clenched as her eyes shut, and once she ended her outburst, she looked to see Snively on the floor looking very baffled. “LISTEN, you mindless cretin, the nerves in his arm are DEAD. Otherwise, it’s simple been severed. Even –if- it doesn’t work, nothing is lost; his arm will still be as dead as ever; otherwise his wounds will be completely healed. And then he is free to chop it off and make a shiny new robotic arm to replace it.” As he rage sub sighed, she let out a long sigh. With it, it appeared as though her temper was calming down with it. “Now there three outcomes. The one Colin likes to point out is that it might not work at all. You’re bones will be completely healed, but useless if you can’t move you’re arm. The second outcome is the most successful, I’ll be able to fix the nerves and you’ll be able to move and feel again. And then there’s the third, where he’ll be able to move the arm, but not feel. So as you can see, there’s not a lot of options to begin with.” |

RE: Egg Command Tower
The doctor's face fell as Rose explained the dilemna with his arm. He looked over the limb in his sling with something of a trembling lip, as his legs lightly shook. For a moment, the doctor appeared very weak and fragile instead of loud and boisterous like he usually was.
"You...you're saying I might lose my arm? And the only way to save it is a procedure you've never tried before?" Robotnik shrunk back into a seat as he mulled this over. It sounded like he didn't have many choices. But as he considered the options, it did sound like he had nothing to lose by going along with this experimental procedure. Either it worked or it didn't. "Okay...I suppose I'll have to take you up on your offer Rose. We should do this quickly, I am guessing?" If it was really to come to this, the doctor wanted it behind him as soon as possible. |

RE: Egg Command Tower
“Well I suppose you could wait,” Rose began quizzically, “Unless you don’t want to get your arm back as soon as possible.”
“That would be a yes.” Snively answered, as he straightened his jacket from when he fell to the floor. She gave him a side-ways glare, but even she knew he was right. So the glare didn’t last very long, as she looked back towards the Doctor. “The nanites I ordered your machines to build are ready, and I just finished the junction point. All I have to do is get what I ordered over to whatever room. The least I need to do is sterilize the junction point; but before all that I need to change.” Snively gave her a strange look. “Change? What for?” “Well I can’t do any kind of surgical procedure’s in this get-up.” Rose replied in a very agitated tone. “These high-heels are killing me anyways- and getting rid of the make-up would be nice.” Even though she answered, Snively was still giving her a questionable look. While she did give an understandable answer, he was just a little curious about how she worded it all. Calling what you wore a ‘get-up’ usually indicated that it’s something that you don’t usually wear. He had been noticing that her attitude had been much mellower since she started working, but otherwise he’d seen her act the way she dressed- minus the homicidal thoughts. Is it possible she’s hiding something? He wasn’t sure, but he’d have to try and watch her more closely. |
