The Valleys
Angel Island has been resting in the sea since the dimensional distortions occurred, with no contact to the rest of the planet. At a point that would have corresponded with the island's valley's, had it still been floating, a small orb winked into existence, glinting in the sun. It started to grow, revealing itself to be a golden ring. It continued growing in diameter and girth, until the hole in the middle was four feet wide, and the ring itself was another foot wide. A shimmering metallic surface could be seen through the ring's middle.
A gray-skin toned hand, adorned with black gloves with no fingers poked it's way through the metallic shimmer. It probed around a bit, until it found the edge of the ring, then grabbed on. This hand's twin then reached through the shimmer, and grabbed the ring at an opposite point. Both hands strained against the ring, pulling their owner through the shimmer. The rest of Omega's body stepped through the giant ring, expect a drop of no more than a foot. What he found instead, was thousands of feet of open sky, between himself and the ground. His footing on the edge of the ring, perilous at best, now gave way, and down he fell, head over heels. The ring above shrunk back to nothingness in a flash, leaving the sky to return to it's peace. Omega's hands, each finger adorned with a similar ring, each a different shade between gold and a dull gray, scrabbled at the air, reaching for anything to stop his descent. Grabbing nothing, he slid the ring closest to gold from his finger, a small platinum spark passing from the tip of his finger to the ring. It grew to average ring size, and was then hooked by the hand it slid from. Having grabbed the ring, Omega willed it to float back up, which, given his rate of descent, was impossible, but it at least began to slow his fall. He held the ring, dropping to the island below at a slowing pace, until dropping into the wooded valleys near the islands edge. He swing to and fro, hither and thither to avoid the many tree branches on his path to the ground, and was majorly successful, until being winded on a low branch, about seven feet from the ground. At that point, his grip on the ring let loose, dropping him the rest of the seven feet, where he promptly landed on his back, and the ring dropped and landed on his forehead. He lazily reached up, grabbed the ring, returned it to it's finger size, and it's proper place on his hand, noting some of the gold color had left it. With a slight groan, he sat up, and looked around. "Well, this looks like the right area of the island... But... How did I get so high up to start with? And where's the village?" He stood up, stretched his back, and started trudging through the forest, until the trees began clearing, and the ground turned from soft under growth, to short grass, to sand. It was only when his boots began splashing in the sea water that he realized that he hadn't exited the warp ring high up. The island had fallen. "Oh boy. What have I stumbled onto this time...?" |

RE: The Valleys
"OOOOOOOOOMEGAAAAAAA!
A voice pierced the sky like a nail scratching on a chalkboard. As a twinkle in the mid-day sun, Whip plummeted towards the Earth(Mobius), arms outstretched and eyes wide open despite the air speed velocity of the fall ripping through his pupils. Whip was targeting Omega's distinctive figure from about 26 feet in the air, intending to give the most powerful tackle known to man. His aim was perfect and Omegas would receive blind pain and grettings in the best way Whip could- SMACK Whip's head was planted firmly in the ground, about two feet away from where Omega stood. His body, surprisingly enough, was still stiff in the air, like a sickeningly painful face-plant. "...Ouchies..." |

RE: The Valleys
Omega turned around to face the rabbit turned javelin. His arms were slack at his side, he stood perfectly straight, and his head was tilted down just enough to view his grounded friend.
"Wh-whip? Is that seriously you? Are you okay?" He took the two steps needed to clear the gap, and proceeded to yank his friend free from the earth. |

RE: The Valleys
"Plah!" Whip gasped when he began unearthed. "I'm fine, Thanks Omega!"
Whip stood up and began patting off his body, getting all that dirt and "That really hurt, I thought I had aimed perfectly... Good to see you man! I didn't think I'd see any of my friends ever again! But hey, what're you doing here? This place isn't really inhabited by much of anything anymore." |

RE: The Valleys
"No, you're right, it is pretty deserted. I've been here for a few months, and I haven't seen much of anything other than a few pieces of rusting badnik. As for how I got here..." He looked up, remembering his violent entry. "Well, I learned first hand how long it takes to go from the island's normal height to where it is now. That first step was a doozy alright."
He stretched out, yawning. "How did you get here, Whip?" |

RE: The Valleys
"Well, actually, I didn't mean to come here. Eggman is flipping out in Solennea, so I sneaky-sneaked my way out before things got serious." Whip explained, using his hand as a visual reference. "The rest of the trip involved tons of practical planning, ingenuity, and totally not passing out of an escape boat and washing up on the shore. Come to think of it, I don't think much of anyone else managed to escape. Maybe it's because of that who-" Whip then took into consideration of what Omega had just said.
"Wait, you've been here for months, and havn't eaten anything!?" |

RE: The Valleys
Omega raised an eyebrow, looking at Whip. "Where out of all of that did you get me not eating? Of course I've been eating! We're standing on a lush tropical island, covered in all sorts of vegetation, not to mention the marine life just off shore, ready to be caught. There's plenty of food, lots of places and supplies for shelter, and more water than I could drink in my life. It's a paradise here, except for the lack of company."
Looking down at himself, he noted there were a few things the island couldn't supply him. "... Although, I wouldn't mind a fresh set of clothes, or maybe some soap..." |

RE: The Valleys
Whip immediately took a step back. but then remembered something.
"Oh right, there's something else." Whip noted, reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a closed fist and held it out to Omega. "Could you hold onto this?" He asked, opening his hand and revealing a small green little shard. "I found this thing on the escape boat, but it makes me sick just holding it. I think it'd be easier if you kept it." Whip said, offering the shard. |

RE: The Valleys
Omega reached out and took the green piece, and held it up to examine. "Sure... I can hold onto it.... No clue what it is then?"

RE: The Valleys
"Nuh uh. I found that thing under a floorboard in the boat. It flashed a bright light and I was out cold. Ended up here because of it, instead of that refugee camp in Higara I was supposed to go to."
Whip looked around at the tropical utopia that surrounded him. "...Not that I'm complaining." |
