RE: Outskirts
Byrain would cursed under his breath. His well thought out plan was already going down quick. Instead of the drones going through the door way and investigating the fire, they were looking outside waiting for someone to jump out. But there was no need to change his position yet. After all, what the robot’s outside were thinking was about a normal person; not someone with a fire-proof suit and mask. The least he decided to do was slowly duck down, so he would be at least harder to see.

( I’m going to let you control the fires, Doc. I don’t want to in fear that I may use it against everyone.)

RE: Outskirts
Novus, from his hiding place, saw the SWATbots begin to swarm around a building a few blocks away. If he stayed here, he would miss out on all the action, so Novus decided that he would have to get closer.

Novus stood up straight and looked out the window and observed the buildings around him, it was a ruin, but still of a city. The buildings were relatively close together, and the one across from him was only 1 floor shorter than the one he was in, Novus would be able to jump from one rooftop to another, or dive into a window if it was necessary.

Novus stepped out on the ledge ouside the window he was just at and leaped across to the rooftop of the next building and proceeded to stealthily advance in the SWATbots directon. He planned to hide in a closer building where he could watch and wait for a chance to strike.

RE: Outskirts
The fire from the crates began to lick at a moldy carpet on the floor. But the carpet seemed to have lain there for years and absorbed a lot of moisture. The flames only spread slowly across it. In the meantime, the SWATbots continued to circle the building in pairs. Depending upon the size of the building [it's not THAT big of a building right?] the two patrols would soon meet on the other side.

All robotic eyes were on the building, so the bots didn't see Novus' silhouette against the sky as he approached.

RE: Outskirts
Byrain still did not budge. His position was still good for him, and the flame wasn’t spreading quickly; much to his dismay. He continued to wait for someone to come through the front entrance, though if someone came through the back, he’d most likely quickly move to a better vantage point.

RE: Outskirts
Novus arrived a few buildings over, across the road from the burning building, and from the previous building he landed on, jumped in a second floor window. Here he crept up to a window facing the street, with weapons still drawn and observed the SWATbots up close from in hiding. They were clearly scouting the area cautiously and would have to be caught off guard if he was to dispatch them.

Novus would watch and wait until they went into the building to launch his surprise attack, they would be much easier to combat in an enclosed space than out in the open. Novus positions himself so that he can leap away from, or out of the window and waits patiently for the robots to advance.

RE: Outskirts
The bots would soon meet each other on the other side of the building on fire. They hadn't seen anything.

"No intruders sighted in or around the building. What should we do?"

"Structure is of no importance. No need to save it."

"But there may still be an intruder inside. Building is made of mostly brick and steel. It will not burn quickly."

"Suggest we go back to our post and get grenades. We flush out the intruder before he has time to plan a counter-attack."

"Agreed."

While two remained posted at the back door, the other two marched back to their gun emplacement. With the bots' general lack of subtlety or stealth, it wouldn't be hard for the two intruders to overhear them talking about using grenades.

---

By this point the fire had started to overcome the mold and moisture, and was now a healthy burning lake on the floor of Byrian's building. It also started to creep up a structural support to the floor above.

RE: Outskirts
“Damn, they’ve got grenades?” Byrain muttered to himself, sounding displeased. But then, as he thought about it, he was happy about that. Damn, they’ve got grenades!”

He was going to have a field day with those suckers; when he got his hands on them of course. But for now, it was an okay time to move and take out the two that remained. Still in a couched position, he quietly made his way to the back door; the fire now in the middle of the room hiding all signs of movement. As he got the back, quickly moving through the fire before it would have a chance to affect him or his grenades; he would not be seen by the robots whose backs were turned from him. And there was no chance of the robots seeing him from the front door since the blaze was considerable tall. As he moved slowly, now in a standing position, he grabbed another napalm grenade from his belt and looked at the outside wall. If he wanted to hit the robots directly, he’d have to roll it; which would just put the ground on fire. Or he could bounce it off the wall so it would en-gulf the robots instead….

With a wide grin that was not visible through his mask, he pulled the trigger quickly; tossing it fast out of the door was before quickly ducking behind the wall. And somewhat nosily too, the robots at the door could probably hear the air tank scraping the brick wall. The grenade hit the wall, coming back and up from the direction it had been thrown from. It would explode overhead, meaning anything on the ground would soon be covered in fiery napalm. Though it explode just a little way from the robots so they would not be covered with it as much; depending on what they did.

RE: Outskirts
Novus is surprised to see a canister bounce off the wall and fly overhead the robots.

"Is that a grenade?" Novus thinks to himself. "Now I know where that explosion came from, I'm not the only one here to stir up trouble!"

RE: Outskirts
CLUNK!

The bots turned around to see what the metallic sound was, but then something exploded overhead. They looked up just in time to see the napalm raining down on them. One robot got engulfed in flames completely. At this point a flesh and blood creature would probably be screaming out and running everywhere like a maniac.

However, the SWATbot, being a logical machine, merely attempted to brush away the napalm gel even as it melted from the heat. Since it was made of metal, it looked like it'd be a bit before the flames did critical internal damage.

Meanwhile, the other SWATbot's arm got covered in the gel and it too tried to brush away the flames. However, as it did, it yelled out on the radio for its comrades.

"Intruder confirmed in that building! We are taking fire from the back door! Call for backup and close off all escape routes!"

The SWATbots had just retrieved their grenades from their outpost, and quickly hurried back to the burning building.

RE: Outskirts
Byrain didn't seem to upset that the alarm was off. In fact, he seemed more disapioted. After all, the current SWATbots weren't even trying to attack him. He'd figured that they'd at least -try- and stop him; haveing them call for there back-up buddies was just boring. With his flame thrower in hand, he decided to speed-up they're buring process. STanding up right as he walked through the door, he quickly burst the one up in flames, before putting the heat onto the other SWATbot; makeing sure he aimed in there faces in hopes of keeping them from being able to shoot him.
