RE: Outskirts
[You said the rocks hit in your post. That's a force hit. Remember, I play as Robotnik so I get to decide everything that happens to the SWATpod. But I would have had that happen anyway, so it's okay.]

The SWATBot in the pod kept Giichi in his sights, preparing to fire another laser blast. But it also saw the trailer coming up into view, so it decided to wait until it had a clear shot. But as he flew over the trailer, suddenly the SWATBot found the area in front of his ship full of rocks. It tried to turn, but obviously it was too late to avoid the suddenly appearing obstacle.

The SWATPod crashed right into the rocks, causing damage to the entire front portion of the ship. One particularly large boulder tore away one of the hovering engines on the bottom of the craft, which caused the SWATPod to pinwheel and careen off to the right. It smashed through the facade of an old apartment building, before exploding and sending the remnants of the structure flying everywhere as shrapnel.

Simultaneously, Giichi slammed hard on the brakes, perfectly silhouetting his car against the fire from the explosion from Terra's point of view. It almost looked like it belonged on the poster of an action movie. After admiring the destruction for a moment with a wide grin on his face, he quickly waved for Terra to hurry over.

"Hurry up! They'll be sending more of them! We gotta get out of here!"

RE: Outskirts
(Sorry for the delayed reply. I've been really busy. Anyways, in my absence I was thinking about my last post. What I thought was damaging your character is actually auto-hitting *facepalms self*. I gotta start paying attention to stuff like that XD.)

The wall toppled over, thankfully on the opposite side of himself. That sudden burst of energy nearly cuased him to faint. He gathered himself and looked over at Giichi. It was a rather alluring sight, but this was no time to acknowledge that. Rocks formed beneath him and he luanched himself towards the sand cat. That didn't help his situation. He instantly lost control of himself, preforming an assortment of flips mid-air. Upon contact with the ground he landed with a thud followed by a couple rolls, ultimately stopping inches from the car. He was right. More of those would be on their way in no time. He found the strength to push himself up and open the door, plopping in the passenger seat.

"Let's go." he managed to say through his heavy breathing.

RE: Outskirts
When Giichi saw how tired Terra looked, he felt like a bit of a jerk. The cat figured he should get out of the car and help him over. But even as he stepped out of the car, Giichi heard the crunching of the rocks together. Looking over, he saw Terra flying through the air straight towards the car.

Even as fast as he was, he couldn't get to the geomancer in time to keep him from landing on the pavement. Giichi moved to help him up, but surprisingly Terra just got back up again and hopped right in the car before he could. Giichi's mouth hung wide open in surprise and admiration. He'd never be able to take that sort of punishment.

Regardless, after he got over the surprise, he quickly rushed back to the driver's seat and buckled in. Before long, Giichi's back tires would be smoking again as they tore off away from the city's remnants. The cat continually checked the rearview mirrors for activity from the city, but he couldn't see anything yet. So he decided to spare a question to Terra.

"Are you all right? That impact looked pretty hard. And you can launch yourself into the air too with those rocks? What else can you do?"

RE: Outskirts
Terra's heavy breathing came to a steady and normal rate. Upon hearing the cat's question he jumped slightly, almost forgetting where he was.

"A wide assortment of things. When the time comes, you'll see firsthand. But that burst of energy, never before have I unleashed such power." he stated, those last words sounding excited. Looking down at his palms, the green markings were dark faded. "If we ever get the opportunity I must stop to regain my strength in case we get another visitor." he requested. Occasionally, he looked to his backside to see if trouble was approaching.

RE: Outskirts
"Can you rest in the passenger's seat? Or do you need me to stop somewhere? I mean...this thing is made for speed, not comfort..."

Despite Giichi's small size, the cockpit of the Dino was tiny too and the two of them were practically touching each other. Every time Giichi wanted to change gears with the stick, he had to nudge Terra's leg.

"I think we'll be safe now..."
Giichi said, as they entered the dark, thick forests surrounding the city. It'd be rather hard to track the car now that they had the leaves and branches blocking the view from the sky. The Ferrari's speed just propelled them further and further away at a very nice clip. "The next place I'm going is back to my home near Soleanna, if you want to go there. I need to get may baby home..."

Giichi lovingly rubbed the steering wheel and the dashboard behind it, as he said the last part.

RE: Outskirts
"A specific process is needed to re-charge my Geokinesis. Other than that, my actual energy has already replenished" he replied. As they entered the forest a good question formed in his mind as Giichi asked his.

"Soleanna was my original destination, so it seems everything will work out." he replied with a feeble smile. "Are you sure we shouldn't stop for the night? This area seems pretty secure and you look like you can use some rest." he persisted, noticing some grogginess in the cat's expression. Curiosity consumed him. He leaned an arm out the window and attempted to move the earth beside the car. A green sparked formed in his palm upon doing so and he sharply drew his arm back, nearly elbowing the sand cat. This is when he realized how small the car was. He was a bit larger than his driver, his knees almost on his chest.

RE: Outskirts
"But I'm not..." Giichi got interrupted by a big yawn. "...tired."

Blinking, he turned the rearview mirror to look at his eyes. The cat saw puffy bags hanging underneath his eyes. How long had he been tired like this? Giichi supposed his determination to get his car back basically had overrode his need for sleep.

Come to think of it, they would be driving for hours to get back to Soleanna. Not to mention, he remembered how confusing the roads were now because of the dimension merge. They just started and ended wherever they felt like it, since all the slices of different dimensions had different roads. Giichi had a hell of a time finding Robotropolis again, and that was during the day.

"Hmm...yeah, I guess we should st-aaah!" He slid sideways to dodge the sudden sideways blow from Terra. The car jerked left and right for a second, giving them both a brief little thrill ride. Growling a bit, he shouted, "What'd you do that for?!"

RE: Outskirts
Terra himself was rather tired. It had been an enduring day. As the car skid he.looked at the sand cat.

"That was an accident. I apologize. Anyway, this seems like a good place to stop. I can make shelter for both of us." he claimed.

RE: Outskirts
"Well...before I accept your apology, what were you trying to accomplish by almost hitting me anyway?"

As Terra mentioned looking for a place to stop, he checked his rearview mirror. Wherever they could see a patch of the yellowing sky, they'd also still see the linings of the smog clouds over Robotropolis catching the orange sunlight.

"Maybe we should go a little farther. I won't feel safe until I don't see the smog any more. Let's wait until we're further out in the country..."

He switched on the Ferrari's headlights, illuminating the weedy roadway in front of them. As they pressed onwards, Giichi inwardly winced a little bit every time he heard a plant or limb brush against the car. It'd definitely need a touch up and waxing when he got home...

RE: Outskirts
At long last, Terra was nearly to Soleanna where he can live peacefully. This made him forget about almost smacking his elbow into his driver. By know his eyelids felt heavy, but his consideration plus the occasional branches and twigs nearly hitting his face kept him awake. He veered once more at his palms. Still a faded dark green. Having no Geokinetic power irritated him so.

"That's fine." he replied upon the cat's question. "I agree. That mad scientist is persistent. It would be wise to wait until we're clear." he went on.
