RE: Outskirts
Giichi smiled briefly when Terra mentioned his driving skills.

"Thank you. It's my hobby. I practice all the time in autocross and on the beach roads by my house."

However, the smile disappeared after that.

"But this isn't over yet."
Giichi looked in his side mirror and saw the black speck of the SWATpod approaching. "I only got him off of us for a second. We can out turn and out brake him, but we can't outrun him, even in this. So help me look for somewhere to hide."

By this time they'd reached a more urban area, with taller buildings stacked closer together. Giichi quickly turned into an alleyway, so that they'd be flanked by buildings on both sides and thus difficult to see from the air. He continually scanned left and right for an open garage door or something to pull into. But even if they did hide, the cat doubted it'd be that simple. The SWATpod might simply call in more backup, set up a search perimeter, and wait for them to appear again. If they got rid of the SWATpod now, that would be the best solution.

Out turn...out brake... That gives me an idea.

"Say...you're pretty good with making the rocks appear like that. Do you think you could hurl a ton of them in the sky at the same time? Say...make a thick enough mass for an aircraft to crash into?"

RE: Outskirts
"It seems I chose the right person to hitch a ride with." he replied keeping his stern demeanor. His eyes scanned the area around them. Something about this place seemed familier to him. He quickly shrugged this feeling off and focused on the enemy at hand.

"It might be a bit of a challenge but consider it done. Just let me know when." he replied upon the cat's question.

RE: Outskirts
Giichi continued to scan the area around him, as he spoke.

"My plan is I'm going to drop you off at the end of a long straightaway. You hide somewhere next to the road, while I get the SWATpod's attention. I drive towards your location, but at the last second I slam on the brakes or swerve onto a side road. That's when you jump out, fling the rocks into the SWATpod's way, and it crashes and burns. We use his speed and momentum against him, basically. So, what do you think of that?"

RE: Outskirts
The geomancing echidna unbuckled himself yet again, heading for the back of the car and croutching slightly. The dent he made earlier cuaght his eye. It seemed bigger, a bit more noticable. A quiet nervous laugh escaped him. Mabye he wouldn't be too mad. He quickly shook that off and concentrated.

"I'm ready whenever you are." he responded

RE: Outskirts
"Well, you don't need to get out yet..." Giichi said, as he edged the Ferrari slowly out of the alleyway.

The cat looked back and forth along the four-lane boulevard, although not for traffic. He wanted to find a good ambush point. Rusted old cars and debris littered the street, but it looked clear enough to drive down at high speed. As he looked far down to the left, Giichi grinned.

A jack-knifed truck sat far off in the distance with its trailer perpendicular to the street. It looked high up off the ground enough for Giichi to drive the low-riding Ferrari right under it.

"Hey...get back in. See that truck over there? I'm going to take you over there, and then I want you to hide behind it. I'm going to come racing underneath it with the SWATpod chasing me. When you see the SWATpod about to fly over the trailer, throw the rocks up. The trailer should hide you until you're ready to spring the trap."

RE: Outskirts
"Okay, let's do this." he said hopping back in the seat. As the duo neared the truck Terra seemed to roll backwards out of the car at the cat's desired destination. He landed in a slightly croutched position momentarily assessing the situation before pressing his back against the trailer. He looked down at his open palm and clentched it into a tight fist, a green aura luminated while doing so. He assumed his stance and awaited his signal to act.

(Quick question, that wasn't controlling your character, right? For some reason that was my first assumption. Just wanted to clear any confusion.)

RE: Outskirts
[That would be controlling Giichi, but in this instance I don't mind. It spares me from having to roleplay it out in this post XD]

Giichi leaned out of the window. "I'll be back soon. Just sit tight and don't draw attention to yourself. I'll be back soon with our friend in tow."

After getting settled back into his seat, Giichi shifted into reverse and pressed down on the accelerator. The car shot backwards underneath the trailer, before Giichi lifted off the throttle and turned the wheel hard right. The car's momentum sent it into a 180, with the nose now pointing away from the trailer. After he was headed in the right direction again, Giichi pressed on the accelerator and shot down the boulevard, dodging cars and debris along the way.

It wouldn't be long before both of them would hear that humming noise in the air. Giichi looked in his rearview mirror and spotted the SWATpod back on him again. Smiling, the cat continued to speed away from Terra's hiding spot.

"That's it. Come on...you know you wanna play with me again. Heh heh heh..."

He continued speeding straight forward, wanting to get plenty of distance between himself and the ambush point so that he could build up the speed.

RE: Outskirts
(Alright, that was my second assumption XD.)

The echidna watched Giichi play cat and mouse with the SWATpod, and ironically, he was the mouse. He couched slightly, closing his eyes and placing a palm on the ground. The earth around him would tell him the proper time to strike. However, he realized despite this always worked this was an airborne enemy and his tactics would be useless. He grumbled to himself an stood back up, pressing his back against the trailer again and awaite his signal.

RE: Outskirts
This should be enough distance.

And not a moment too soon. The SWATpod sliced up the ground all around the car with its lasers, as Giichi drifted back and forth to avoid the blasts. But suddenly Giichi pulled the handbrake and jerked the wheel hard right, sending the car into a second 180.

As before, the SWATpod struggled to keep up with the sudden change in direction, and needed extra time to brake and get turned around. Giichi used that time to speed back towards Terra's location, as they agreed. He just hoped he didn't get too far ahead to make the trap ineffective.

The rumbling of Giichi's tires on the ground would probably be adequate notice to let Terra know when to fire off the attack however.

[Just feel free to assume Giichi is about to come driving under the trailer with the SWATpod close behind.]

RE: Outskirts
The geomancer heard the car hauling @$$ down the straight away. The sound of tires screeching let him know he made his turn back towards the trailer. It wasn't long before a red blur sped in front of him. He sprung into action, facing the direction of his target and formed rocks around his feet to keep him in place. Instead of lugging rocks at it, he rather created a highly compressed wall of rock. He was accustomed to building walls slightly taller than himself. It would be difficult to reach it to target at that height. He slightly crouched, raising his hands up high as he stood straight up. The wall began forming. It wasn't high enough however. Through all his straining he still wasn't successful, only budging it a couple inches. Sweat trickled his forehead and painful groaning noises escaped him. A deafening scream surfaced from the echidna as a green aura surging with power enveloped him. This only lasted three seconds, enough for a sudden burst of power to send the wall way higher than he intended, proving to be a formidable obstacle for that swatpod.
