Sparring: Nail vs Relic
So....what is someone named Lady Priscilla doing here? Why not a castle or an old manor?
Nail gazed up at the tall glass skyscraper, shining in the afternoon sunlight like a giant prism. He could feel himself sweating under the sun's rays and from carrying his bag full of equipment, so he quickly moved to step into the lobby of the building. After coming in through the revolving doors, he gazed about and took in the space. A wide open atrium greeted him with a reception desk, couches, plants, and scattered artwork here and there. It looked like any other office building he'd seen. But unlike most office buildings he seemed to be totally alone, even though there should be workers here right now. Not really sure what he was supposed to do, he decided to start by moving towards the reception desk. |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
A single lady Kangaroo stood behind the desk, giving the wolf a smile. "Ah you must be Mr.Strafer I was informed that you wold be coming, please use the VIP elevator." She pointed in the direction of a regal looking wooden door. With a ding the doors slid open welcoming the merc into them. "Ms.Valentine will see shortly, Her office is a penthouse." The kangaroo smiled once again, bowing her head slightly "Have a nice day!"
Inside the machine was a very lavish design. Gold trimmed buttons and velvet lined interiors. When the doors opened again, Nail just had to walk along a rather expensive looking hallway leading directly into Lady Priscillias suit. The shapely white female wolf greeted him, She was dressed in a black gown, the left side slit up to her hip. With a modest assortment of jewelry, nothing overly flashy but quite expensive none the least. She took a seat behind a desk and spoke to the merc "Mmm.... Mr.Strafer for my sake and yours I hope you bear..." She licked her red coated lips in a provocative manor " Good news." Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
Nail had to suppress a chuckle at her dress and overall mannerisms. Did she think she was a Bond villain? In any case, he didn't feel intimidated. "No, bad news."
[Uh...what should I write here? I mean I know you want me to deliver bad news but you never said what.] |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
The she wolf began filing her claws behind the desk, hearing the code phrase that a very important business deal wasn't going to happen, taking a moment to look at them. "Ah, that's too bad, you're kind of cute." She started filing once again, flashing the merc a smile. "I was hoping I wouldn't have to fetch him but" She raised her voice a few decibels "You're needed my pet..."
Loud heavy foot steps could be heard only a moment after she summoned her ever loyal servant. A colossal being made his way through the door way to Nail's left, An iron clad figure. Coal black armor from head to toe, what appeared to be a fox though it was many times larger then any fox should be. It had to hunch over to fit through the door way, scraping the bat like frills on it's helmet on the way in. The iron clad fox, Relic Drake, let out a low growl upon seeing what was going to be his victim. "A death of a messenger?" His voice was a deep solid base, commanding attention in every word "Is that-" The white wolf snapped at him "Did I ask you what you thought?" The large warrior made a grunt, turning his attention fully to Nail. His left gauntlet was simply titanic, a large decorative dragon frill around his wrist, over sized even for himself. It could easily grip around Nail's chest if he was caught by it. In Relic's right hand he held a heavy Kite shield, an elaborate coat of arms painted on it. A snake fighting a lion in a ring of fire. A strange glowing orb hung from a chain around the dread knight's waist. It glowed an eerie green, as small sparks of energy emitted from it. The object was clearly magical. The entire armor had a demonic theme to it, having hooks, barbs, and chains hanging from him. The wolf let out a very nasty chuckle "It's been fun dear, but, Drake..." She narrowed her eyes "Crush him!" She ordered, every word laced with venom. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
Nail couldn't believe his eyes. What sort of lady had this kind of bodyguard? She'd just gone from being a Bond villain to being Poison Ivy from that crappy Batman and Robin movie.
The fox couldn't help but notice she hadn't retreated after releasing her monster. Why was that? Was there something he didn't know about? In any case, Nail figured the best course of action would be to hold her at gunpoint to force the monster to stand down. It definitely didn't look like the knight was fast enough to walk over here and stop him from doing that. So, Nail smoothly released his Five-seveN pistol from its holster and pointed it at Priscilla, all in about half a second. While holding the gun, he started to edge around the desk, to put her between him and this new arrival. "Hey you in the armor...stand down. You obviously respect this woman and don't want her to get hurt." |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
Priscilla let out a small chuckle when he point the handgun at her. Raising a paw to cover her mouth slightly. "I hope you don't plan on using that pea shooter on him." She lifted a hand into the air, snapping a finger. "Or me." In a brilliant flash of light, her body dematerialized forming into a beam that went through the roof with out disturbing a thing. With that Nail was left pointing his 5-7 at thing air.
The Dread knight unlatched the glowing orb on his belt, raising it high into the air, a burst of energy emitting form it as it began to pulse and throb. A long snake like tendril began to drop down from the energy. Soon it was in the shape of a bull whip. Rearing his right hand back for a monstrous swing. He bent down on one knee, turning his upper body to apply all his strength into the blow. On his back the mercanary fox could catch glimpses of a pair of skeletal, bat like wings. Draped in chain mail they seemed to be part of his armor not from his body. "So it has been said, So shall it be done!" Relic spoke, wanting to draw Nail's attention to the fierce attack. RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
Aaaaah....####. I figured it wouldn't be that simple.
She was right about his pistol. Good thing he'd also brought his P90, but it was in his sack. So he stepped back, swiped the sack, and sprinted in the opposite direction from the knight, crashing through a doorway on the other side of the room. I am not fighting that thing if I don't have to. Nail briefly thought about running for the elevator, but he suspected Priscilla had probably shut it down. So that meant he'd have to find an emergency stairwell or something. Surely there'd have to be one...otherwise the building would not be in compliance with fire codes. |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
There was no emergency exit, not from the penthouse. There was no need as either occupant could do with out (Priscilla could teleport and Drake would just be left there to fend for himself). The elevator did in fact work though.
The knight unleashed his attack, swinging the sol energy whip in a 270 degree arc. With a thundering crack, it ripped through all in its path, including several walls. Sending debris and ruble about. Everything with in just over 11 feet of the arc, at the five foot level had a slice through it. The hall was littered with glass from the doors. The knight stepped into the hallway, observing Nail break his way into one of the rooms. Drake cracked the whip, raising it above his head to twirl it once, in the same motion he brought it down leaning in to touch the floor with it in a huge vertical slice. He couldn't see the merc, but he could guess roughly where he was based on what he last saw him doing and the current sounds coming form the room. Each time the whip was about to be swung, a ghastly sound rang out. Like a distorted vacuum inhaling sand. Very low pitched and very ethereal, Nail would have a split second warning before he would find the room he was in torn asunder. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
I don't know what that sound is and I don't want to stick around long enough to find out...
Then the vertical slash of the whip cut straight through the doorway he'd just gone through...plus the ceiling overhead and the floor on the ground. The shockwave from the whip caused him to trip and fall over...the slash tearing through his sack and allowing his P90 submachinegun to fall out, along with the ammo. Nail turned around at the clattering sound, his eyes bulging in fright. He had to turn around and get his weapon...but that might give the knight long enough to catch up. Shaking his head, he practically leaped onto the P90...grabbing it with one hand while collecting the magazines in the other hand. GET. OUT. NOW. |

RE: Sparring: Nail vs Relic
The armored fox stepped into the crack in the wall, widening it and tearing the wall open. "I threaten your life, Merc, Biding your time for an attack will not help you." There was something about hunting a man who wasn't fighting back that irked the huge knight. A he let out audible sign of aggravation, a bitter roar escaping his throat.
He leaned the whip forward and snapped his wrist, sending the tether towards Nail. It wasn't designed to hit him but to wrap around his leg. He decided a more tactical approach was needed. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |
