Toilynn Trubeau
== I. Basic Information ==
Full Name: Toilynn Trubeau Alias/Chosen Name: Sierra Gender: Female Species: Dhole Place of Residence: I'unno |3;; The shop/house rests just outside of Station square, on a seaside cliff, though even this location receives a large amount of business. Occupation: Sierra is in the business of magic, and not the smoke-and-mirrors foo-fah magicians peddle to the masses. No, this dhole offers quality goods that customers can make use out of. Her shop shelves are lined with handmade and imported charms, fetishes, and magic wares, while she provides custom spells and solid enchantments, straight from her own hands. Sierra also sells magical creatures*- pheonix, dragons, unicorns, and skeleton dogs- as both pets and chao levelers. *I figured this'd be fine, since these creatures are straight from the Sonic Adventure games anyway. Socioeconomic Status: Well-to-do, Sierra has enough wealth to get what she needs and a lot of what she wants, which isn't a lot in the first place. She owns her two-story store and the loft above it. == II. Physical Information== Photo: Clicky Height: 3’04” Weight: 64 lbs Current Age: 19 Physical Appearance: It is usually hard for others to tell that Sierra is a true-breed; Usually, she's mistaken for a pretty mutt, often a fox-dog hybrid. Her hair is usually a rusty red, cropped just above the shoulders and curled slightly. Her fur is brighter and redder than her hair; however, the bridge of her nose and entire tail are both a dark brown. Sierra's eyes are an intense blue. Besides that, Sierra has a light frame. Attire: Sierra's outfits vary day-to-day. She prefers to wear skirts, sun dresses, and whatever matches with them. Her favorite item is an orange sun dress that falls mid-thigh. Sierra also sports a wide-brimmed witch hat, the tip of which curves to the side or behind her. She seems to be able to change the hat's design to complement what she's wearing. Being a digitigrade, she prefers not to wear shoes, but will occasionally wear bracers or spats to polish off her outfits. Gear and Accessories: -Toilynn Trubeau's Charmed Aeronautic Sweeper, Patent Pending: A flying broomstick. If she's not riding it, it's slung over her back. The broom can hit sixty miles per hour and reach thirty feet in the air. -Toilynn Trubeau's Liquid Spell, Patent Pending: A permanent marker loaded with the infused ink used for Scriptor Arcanum. The ink can hold on most surfaces, and the pen is double ended, having both broad and fine nibs. -Ars Scriptorum Arcanum: Sierra's spellbook. This tome has endless pages of spells, divided into seven “chapters.” The language is Orthodox Canid, and each spell is split amongst the seven chapters, to further prevent plagiarism or wrongful spellcasting. -Pointed Witches' Cap: This cap has a few pockets on the inside. -- Currently, the contents are: 1 Liquid Spell marker, some folded sheets of blank paper, R$300 in six R$50 bills, a government-issued ID. == III. Personal Information== Alignment: Good. Definitely. Personality: Sierra is one of those individuals who finds happiness in helping others, and it's a mentality that most witches in her family share. For centuries, the Trubeau's dedicated themselves to not only mastering the arcane, but also passing their achievements on to the vast, magicless majority, and the lifestyle became an ideal. Though not an outright charity organizer, she does like to lend an ear, listen, and help when she can. Still she is no one to be walked over. Anyhoo. The young witch has a few quirks of her own. Though slow to anger, she's just as “speedy” when it comes to forgiving: girl can hold a grudge. She loves humoring others (even if it's for her own amusement) and battling wits, though she never goes so far to hurt someone's feelings... generally speaking. All-in-all, she definitely has a mischievous, “witchy” side to her. Theme Song: The Outer Banks, by The Album leaf Hobbies and Interests: Inventing and crafting new spells, charms and fetishes, collecting magical wares, chatting with her customers, potion-brewing, sweet-baking, daily rides on her aeronautic sweeper~ Abilities: Magic: Sierra's magic prowess is generally benign, and extends to enchantments, hexes, levitation, scrying, and empathy. -----Chaos: Considering spells (Besides barriers, miasma and the like) don't generally work on beings with will, raw Chaos is essential for defense and offense. With Chaos, Sierra can create shields, shots, and spears. ------- Shots have the same affect as being smacked with a professionally pitched, flaming baseball. (*snicker*) ------- Spears have the same affect as shots, save for the “drilling” aspect following contact. (*guffaw*) -----Attentions: With the help of magic, Sierra can perform multiple small tasks at the same time, such as daily chores around the house, or multiple cooking steps while preparing dinner. This is done by enchanting the tools or utensils and “minding” them. She can also read grimoires while crafting potions or cast multiple spells simultaneously, just to give a few examples. -----Scriptor Arcanum: Using orthodox ink, quill and scripture, Sierra can record her spells onto a suitable medium, thereby reducing her need to concentrate during casting. She can also have autonomous spells “on tap,” instead casting them from a scroll. (This is how she “sells” one-time-use spells) *Considering Sierra's spellbook has more spells than anyone would care to check through (or create >.>), it can be assumed that whatever spells she has in there are canonically ambiguous until actually referenced or used. That being said, I've made a criteria for spells, limiting those playable to: ) effecting single-to-a-few inanimate objects or small, lesser creatures ) effecting objects at most as heavy or large as a pickup truck ) having no malignant effect on sapient creatures (or, at least, player characters and player NPCs) ) any “status” spells wear off in a reasonable amount of time, or must be actively sustained at some cost ) levitation is only a few feet (at most ten) off of a stable, flat surface ) no creature summoning, besides her Familiar, unless approved ))- speaking of which, summoned creatures can only be from the official games, IE, Dark Gaia baddies, Iblis baddies, the eagles of Soleanna etc. (*cackle*) Status affects on people would be something along the lines of simple support boosts: +speed, +strength, +agility, etc. They'd have a time limit though (maybe five to ten posts?), and can only be used to enhance a player's greatest talent or skill (Sonic's Speed, Knuckle's strength etc) Spells only work if literally allowed by the target character. I halfways feel like dropping this altogether, though~ (Playable) Spells cast on inanimate objects would be simple enchantments: no turning chairs into hellspawn demon vessels or things like that. Basically, it comes down to levitation, physical changes (such as, weight, color, invisibility and the likes), bewitchment (simple tasks, such as ordering a vehicle to turn on and drive forward in a short burst, or a pipe to break and realign itself, or a radio to tune). This is limited to mechanical devices (or things requiring mechanical input). The dial on a radio, the ignition, transmission and pedals on a car, the... pipe... breaking, keys on a keyboard. She can't mentally navigate a computer system or will an electronically locked bombdoor to open, but she can press the keys and move the mouse without having to touch them. (Playable) Spells cast on lesser creatures are persuasive only. Sierra can't turn rats into pumpkins or even directly communicate with creatures. She can direct an angry carnivore's aggression toward her enemies, entice a rat to chew through bonds, or convince some beast to act as a temporary mount., to name a few things- oh, these spells don't work on fish or arthropods (bugs and.. crabs and things). Strengths: Summary: A very knowledge-oriented individual - Studious: Learns and retains information very easily - Concentration: can stay calm and clear-minded under pressure, and multitask efficiently - Booksmarts: mythology, ancient history, Chaos, Magic - Empathy: Easily reads verbal and physical cues and, with magic, directly analyzes feelings - Stamina: Very high Chaos "reservoir" Weaknesses: Summary: All brains and no braun - Physical: Sierra isn't, in any way, a physically strong person. Fighting hand-to-hand is about as rewarding as ticking an alligator on the chin. - Battle prowess: Not only is Sierra hardly formidable, but she doesn't have any fighting experience anyway. This counts for using magic; besides formal duels within her family, the dhole has no useful knowledge of the battle field. - Streetsmarts: Overly foolhardy and self-assured, frequently underestimates others' skills. - Emotional: Though she usually is in control of her emotions, once angry, broken, or despondant, she's slow to recover. Her magic prowess and mental efficiency is compromised until then. - Stamina: for all her magical energy, Sierra isn't running marathons or climbing mountains. She also can't take hits worth a hoot. She's pretty below-average. Background Story: The Trubeau family has long been known as a family of magic and miracles, able to trace its ancestry centuries into the past. Their blood is even more special, as only females in the direct line had the innate, increased ability to manipulate the world's energies. Toilynn was no outlier, and her studies began at an early age, as they had for her mother, aunts, and grandmothers prior. But life remained very simple. Sierra studied magic, helped run the Trubeau magic shop, and enjoyed her childhood with friends and family alike. It was in this environment that the young dhole grew into a charming adolescent. At fifteen, her mother left her the long-standing magic shop, leaving to open another branch, as was family tradition. Even left alone to Sierra's own devices, both witch and store prospered. This is, however, until the world shift a few years later. Though the magic-user was quickly over her initial shock, the shifting worlds continued to present a problem- namely, most of the Trubeau family, including Sierra's mother, had all but disappeared. Indeed, they wouldn't return until all was righted with the world(s), and with something so personal as family on the line, Sierra decided to enter the fray, herself. == IV. NPCs == Name: Nero Gender: Male Species: Takes the form of a Skeleton Dog Occupation: Nero is Sierra's familiar, a physical fragment of her own spirit. Photo: Clicky. Height: 2' 6” Weight: 40 lbs Current age: 19 Physical Appearance: Nero looks like your typical skeleton dog, though this is slightly different from the puppies sold in Sierra's shop. His body, the actually fleshed part of it, is covered in a thick coat of ink-black fur. His head appears to be merged with a typical dog skull, with a fleshed-out jaw and mouth (behind his teeth, he has gums, a tongue, esophagus etc). The eye sockets are filled with an impenetrable void, and two black, pointed ears sit atop his head. He also has a black nose. People are often put off by his "endless stare," even if he's not looking at them. Moving along, Nero looks a lot like a legless dog stuck inside a cage of bones. His vertebrae apparently stick half-ways out of his back. Attached to said bones, less than the normal amount of ribs line his chest. Poking out of his fur are two clavicles, connected to two scapulae, which connect to the rest of his two front legs, which are completely skeletal. Nero's hips only partially protrude from under his fur, just enough for his femurs to attach. Nero's hind legs are also completely skeletal. Nero's tail is long and furry. Like on his back, the vertebrae partially stick out along the top ridge of the tail, though these are mostly hidden by fur. Alignment: Good... if sadistic. Personality: Nero is uncannily sarcastic and witty. He doesn't miss an opportunity to point out someone's mistakes or flaws, and his directness with this varies with his mood. He can also be relatively stubborn when asked questions, favors, or to perform tasks by anyone other than Sierra. Nero is generally collected and hard to excite or surprise. Nero is extremely protective over Sierra. Theme Song: Broken Arrow, by the Album Leaf Abilities: -----Whatever holds Nero's bones together, he seems to be able to control it. Being dismembered provides a minor inconvenience, as the skeleton dog incarnate is able to reassemble himself by simply snapping his bones back together. Nero has, on at least two occasions, spontaneously fallen apart and, on one separate occasion, gnawed on his own detached femur in boredom. Broken bones are slightly more problematic, as he has to respawn to reverse the issue, and this takes “about five minutes out of my day,” as he puts it. -----Due to this same ability, Nero can't physically attack anyone without falling apart. -----That being said, Nero is relatively indestructable. Snapping his neck, crushing his skull, or seriously maiming his fleshy body are effective ways to “kill” him, but he can respawn anyway, if slightly angry and possibly homicidal. Nero is nothing but spirit manifest, and will only permanently die when Sierra kicks the bucket. -----Having no flesh or muscle to ironically hinder his movements, Nero is extremely dexterous, able to hold objects in his paws and even write. -----Nero can appear before Sierra's friends and enemies to deliver messages, but only if both dhole and dog know both the name and face of the target receiver. -----That being said, Nero seems to “know” things. The next day's weather. Oncoming disaster. Traps. Nero inexplicably panicked several minutes before the emeralds were shattered. He seems unable to directly communicate this knowledge, for instance, complaining that he doesn't want to get wet tomorrow, but not being able to say that it's going to rain. -----Nero is severely affected by Sierra's state of mind and overall spirit. Any depressed emotion will cause him to become more and more translucent and immaterial. If she acts hopeless or despondent, Nero disappears altogether. If Sierra is dazed or unconscious, Nero will act drunken or as if in a stumbling stupor. If Sierra is drunk, herself, the same (theoretically) occurs. A slew of other reactions are possible, depending on the dhole's state. Background: (*inhale*) Nero materialized as a puppy, shortly after Sierra herself was born. The two have been together ever since. You know. Like parts of a whole should. (*gasp*) -------------------------------------------------------- And that's it. *Grin... Flee* |
