Canceled SatAM Game?

I just uncovered this today while browsing the internet in search of all things Sonic (surprising, isn't it? ;P)

Apparently, SOA was intending on releasing this stealthy-ish game starring Sonic and his SatAM friends in November of '93. Obviously, it never occurred, but it does make you wonder where Sonic would have gone had this been released and was a success to the franchise.
