Petya Borzakovsky
![]() Name: Petya Claudia Borzakovsky Age: 21 Species: Wolf Gender: Female Appearance: Petya has a slender figure and is, mostly due to her species, a little taller than most others. Her fur is a mix of several shades of grey, the tone growing lighter toward her face and chest. Her ears are jet black as are her fingertips and toes and the end of her tail with a few black markings mixed into her grey fur here and there. Her forearms, hands, chest and much of her face are a dull shade of white. Interestingly she tends to go everywhere barefoot. Her hair is black in colour and left to fall in untidy strands across her face. Petya does however like to keep her hair rather long and ties most of it back in a long plait behind her. Her eyes are a green colour. Petya tends to wear as little as she can get away with without falling into the realms of indecency. Coming from the north she is rather immune to the effects of cold, or at least the temperatures most would call cold. To this end she generally goes everywhere in some form of tank top but she carries a jacket around with her for those occasions that she needs one. With this she wears a pair of long, semi tight trousers with a large belt. This belt is usually used to clip her whip and a drinks canteen (usually containing vodka) to. As far as accessories are concerned Petya has only two, one being a pendant and the other being a red headband. Personality: Petya is a wolf who is always out looking for a good time. So long as she can enjoy herself she doesn’t much care who she is with or what she ends up doing. That said she enjoys nothing more than a simple drinking contest or a competitive game of cards, in short she finds joys in the simple pleasures of life and doesn’t have big expectations or desires. In her search for simple pleasures she tends not to involve herself in others troubles and would quite willingly ignore people whenever she felt is necessary. That said she isn’t heartless, on the contrary, she has a heart of gold and doesn’t mind helping people out when it is seriously needed. The only problem is her lack of vision when it comes to other, she might be forthcoming with aid when its needed but she doesn’t tend to see when it is needed until its too late. To this end she has developed the reputation of being a bit ignorant, to which she gets very angry about. She doesn’t like being badmouthed and can get very agitated and angry when such things happen. Her temper is also a rather nasty thing and, depending on how angry she is, she has been known to forget about mercy. On the other hand, not many have had to deal with this side of Petya and most the ones that have deserved every little bit they got. In times of upset or sadness Petya has been known to find solace at the bottom of a bottle. Having a greater tolerance than most she usually ends up drinking way too much and doesn't stop. When drunk she gets even more upset and sometimes unexpectedly bursts into tears. The loss of her parents often haunts her during these drunken moments and exaggerate her condition. With regard to her parents Petya is very protective of them. She'll call someone out immediately if she hears bad words being spoken about them. However, recalling her parents causes her stress, especially her father who she grew up with. After such confrontations she can usually be found crying over a double. Petya has a fear of very small confined spaces, a kind of minor claustrophobia. In truth it is more a fear of being alone and being helpless. She tries to keep it under control but sometimes she has been known to get rather frantic given the right situation. Faction: Thieves Guild Alignment: Neutral Family: Father: Nikoli Borzakovsky – Wolf, 58, deceased Mother: Maria Borzakovsky – Wolf, 39, deceased Siblings: None Other Living Relatives: Unknown Weapon: Petya carried two weapons with her although one she usually doesn’t carry around with her due to its size. The first, which is always on her person, is an electro whip. This weapon is like a standard whip but the handle holds a small power generator that can send a brief electric jolt down the length at the press of a button. The shock isn’t enough to kill or even seriously injure, it is however very painful and will rightly make a lot of people back off when the wolf pulls it out. Her second weapon is an energy bow. The bow is about a meter and a half long from end to end and comes with a string like its more primitive cousin. Instead of firing solid arrows though it fires charged energy shots in the form of a arrow that burst on impact. The longer the string is held back the stronger the shot is when fired however the bow is cumbersome up close and so Petya generally only uses it when she has the element of surprise. The bow can be dismantled into three parts in order to make transport easier. The strength of the shot depends on the charge time. A single post shot would hold the effect of being hit by someone charging you with a punch. A two post charge would feel like being hit by a bicycle, easily knock a person over and leave burn marks on clothing/armour. A shot charged for three posts would feel like being hit by a slow moving car and cause third degree burns on unprotected skin. A four post charge would be the same as a being hit by a fast moving car and can burn through thin body armour with ease causing second degree burns. Transport: Petya owns a sports bike for transport. [Reference: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/l...orbike.jpg ] Background: Petya's existence in the world is as much a chance event as witnessing the big bang. Her parents were both treasure hunters, scouring the globe for items of value or history. Their chance meeting in an isolated ruin was the event that started it all. Although they were after the same treasure the pair got on very well together and decided to split the earnings from the venture. After that they just seemed to follow each other around, bumping into each other time and again and developing their friendship further. Eventually though the friendship went even further and, unknown to them, Petya was conceived. Following this Petya's mother Maria began to get cranky and was frequently sick. She had never been pregnant before and both feared she was ill. After several months they decided to visit a doctor for medical advice. On the way the pair were enveloped in a powerful snow storm and Maria really did fall ill with pneumonia. Upon reaching the hospital the pair discovered that she was pregnant but that Maria's condition was also to a point that threatened her life. The unknown pregnancy had weakened her physical state and the pneumonia was sapping what little strength she had left. Although she battled on for several weeks her condition deteriorated and doctors had no choice but to induce the birth. As Petya was finally delivered Maria barely had enough time to name her before she fell unconscious. Doctors tried to revive her but it was no good and she passed away the next day. This left Nikoli with a child to raise on his own. He had no idea and seemed more concerned about mourning Maria than anything else. So for the first few years of Petya's life she was simply carted from one place to another, fed when she needed food and left to do whatever she wanted. Whilst this isn't exactly the best position for a child it proved to be in Petya's favour. Over the years she watched her father at work and slowly began to pick up things. By the time her father actually noticed she was going on seven and was imitating her father behind his back. When he noticed he realised how much he had been neglecting Petya and decided to teach her the trade he loved so much. Thus the years went on and with each one that did Petya grew and learned more and more. She travelled the world with her father and together they explored tombs, dug up treasures and discovered many secrets. The bond between the pair strengthened with each passing day and between them they hardly had to rely on anyone else at all. As Petya aged her father began to show her more and more tricks of the trade. As she entered her teens the young wolf began to take lessons in self defence. Her father usually carried a side arm but he felt this wasn't suitable for a young child to learn. Instead he decided to teach her to use something that was slightly less lethal, in this case a whip. Petya took to it quiet well and over the years she became quite accurate with it, able to flick the cigar out of her father mouth at ten meters away. Seeing this accuracy her father finally buckled to his daughters constant demands and decided to train her in a ranged weapon. He remained firm on the side arm business and instead got Petya a small bow. Whilst she was a little annoyed about this she decided to try it and found that she enjoyed the solid feel in her hands. It was several years later that Petya's life took a turn for the worse. Whilst exploring a deep tunnel beneath a dig site both father and daughter were caught in a cave in. As the dust settled Petya found that her left arm had been completely pinned beneath a pile of rock. It was bent the wrong way and covered in blood. The sight almost made Petya pass out but there was more pressing matters at hand. Her father was almost completely buried under a pile of stone. Petya tried to reach him but her pinned arm stopped her from getting close enough. Her father was barely conscious and barely had time to link fingers with his daughter before he passed out. Petya was hysterical and she began to feel even worse as time set in. The confined space she was trapped in began to feel even smaller and confined. By the time the rescue party reached them she had passed out however. It was later in hospital that she discovered the bad news, her father had died. He had been crushed beneath the cave in and there wasn't anything the doctors could have done. Petya was also left with a scar, her left arm badly injured. The pressure of the rock had caused massive muscle and nerve damage resulting in her losing virtually all strength in her left arm and all feeling. Petya took time out to look after herself for a while afterwards but it wasn't the same. She was alone now and would have to cope on her own. It was hard though, Petya had relied on her father a lot and hardly knew anyone else at all. It was hard at first but slowly she managed to adjust. She started to make new friends, brought a little more civilisation into her life and began to make her own way in life. She used some of the money she had to have a custom energy bow built for herself. Without the strength in her left arm she couldn't pull back a regular bow and the energy bow had little resistance in its draw. She never forgot her father who's picture resided in a locket around her neck along with one of her mother. Nikoli had often spoken of her and Petya wished more than anything that she had been able to know her, if only for a little while. Still she made a promise to both of them to carry on and build her own life. She never forgot her roots though and refused to give up the family business, it was a part of both of them and it was also a part of hers. With the dimensional merging taking place Petya sees the future as a giant opportunity. A chance to meet new people, visit new places and find new treasures. Likes: Vodka – Petya has developed a very hardy constitution for alcohol but she still enjoys a good drink with friends, vodka being her favourite. This had led to many drinking contests in the past, none of which people can remember Petya actually loosing. Poker – Able to keep a very straight face, Petya has developed a skill for poker. She enjoys watching people squirm as they try to beat her but not in an evil way. She generally doesn’t challenge people, knowing that would seem like she was just concerned with winning, but will accept challenges readily. Dislikes: Drunkards – Petya, although a heavy drinker herself, has no like for drunks and finds them disgusting and pathetic. Repulsive Qualities – Petya is easily irritated by qualities she considered repulsive such as excessive greed, egos and bad hygiene. She generally won’t say anything but won’t associate herself with such things is she can help it. Combat Style: Petya tends to favour two approaches in combat; the sneak attack and disorientation. If she gains the element of surprise she uses it, striking out without warning usually from a distance using her bow. When confronted in the open she reverts to the use of her whip and focuses on getting away. Petya is no lover of unnecessary combat and doesn't like to get involved in it. As such she makes sure she is constantly moving in an attempt to disorientate her opponent and hopefully tire them out. She prefers not to kill but has no reservation in hurting anyone threatening. Moves: Common Weakness – Unless specified in the moves profile all of the following moves suffer the same weakness. Due to the size of Petya's bow she cannot fire it on the move like a regular gun. The power of the weapon also means she must aim at her chosen target in order to be assured of hitting it. As such she cannot fire it if she moves in a given post and must remain stationary if she is charging a move until it is fired. In addition the nature of her weapon means she can only fire a single shot in any given post due to the need to reload between shots. 1) Tetherline – This move is linked to Petya's bow. By holding the charge in her bow for a longer period of time (2 posts) she can fire an arrow with a cord of energy bound to the end. This cord is strong enough to hold at least twice her body weight and lasts for several minutes before its energy is depleted (three posts). 2) Volley Fire – A multi shot arrow move. This move fires five arrows in a spread pattern resulting in an unknown impact location. This is because of the drift associated with the fired projectiles. However, the shots land roughly where they were aimed and upon impact burst releasing a small shockwave of energy. The move takes two posts to charge and anyone caught in it takes a hit as if they had been struck by a one charge arrow (even if not hit directly) due to the energy wave released. 3) Spark Wave – By charging an electric bolt inside her whip Petya can release the energy in the form of a spark wave that travels along the ground in a straight line. If the surface is electrically conducting the wave has much greater speed and impact capability. Without conductors the wave is powerful enough to knock a person clear to the ground and fuzz their vision for a moment. The problem with this move is that excessive use of the generator can cause it to fuse. If Petya uses it in one post she cannot use it again next. 4) Breaker Bolt – By charging this move for two posts Petya can release a bolt designed for penetration rather than fragmentation. The shot has the same impact as a single post normal shot but doesn't fragment on impact. Instead it burrows into the target like a standard arrow. It remains solid for one post and then releases its energy causing first degree burns to the point it hit. CS Move – Chaos Bolt – A single shot arrow of unrivalled power. The energy for the shot is charged using the ambient Chaos energy in the atmosphere meaning it takes longer to charge than most shots (3 post charge time) but the destructive capability is high. When fired the shot instantly breaks the sound barrier, reaching its target in mere seconds if not sooner. When it hits it creates a massive burst of Chaos energy that is enough to topple a tower block if the shot hit the central column. The impact also causes a massive shockwave that can upturn an armoured truck with relative ease. Skills: Archaeology (Expert) Petya is very learned in the field of archaeology and can easily distinguish markings, faint signs and such like. She also knows a great deal about the planet including legends and myths. Constitution (Expert) Though she is young Petya's constitution has been tested to the limit by her fondness for alcohol. She can easily stomach a vast array of things that would have other spewing heavily. Also she hardly ever suffers from any form of travel sickness. Marksman (Intermediate) Petya has practised shooting for many years and is skilled in her chosen weapon. Despite the injury to her arm she continues to practice although she will never be as good as she may have been. Strengths: + She is very quick on her feet and very athletic. + Has a well of intelligence in her chosen field. + Easy going personality enables her to fit into most situations. Weaknesses: - Has no strength of feeling in her left arm. - Easily roped into having a good time whatever is going on around her. - Has had no formal education. |
