Releasing Pressure

"Like I said, they rescued me too," Chalk replied although her tone seemed to indicate her dislike in saying the words, "Honestly I've been keeping myself to myself really. I've promised to help in return for their help in rescuing Linda but it doesn't seem like things are moving quickly. Guess they're still trying to work out what really happened. All I remember is someone saying something about a dimensional merging. Dunno what that means but it sounds crazy to me."

Chalk shrugged lightly and settled herself back against a rock.

[Chadin]

Hmmm... It might not sound as crazy as you think." I mused in careful thought. "I remember some of the older Freedom Fighters talking about portals that occasionally popped up to alternate realities and worlds we called Zones. Maybe whatever the other Freedom Fighters had called a meeting about had something to do with Robotnik muddling around with the dimensional barriers again. Whatever the case may be, I need to find out what they know about all this, and if need be, take the fight to Robotnik before he has a chance to make the situation any worse."

[Saria]

[Sorry for the long wait but I'm back from vacation now!]

"I wonder if people like us will be able to go home after all this..."

Saria got caught up in the thought as she recalled some of her old home world legends of people fighting in other worlds and about half made it home and the other half got stuck, or stayed behind for some noble reason. She was hoping that nothing like that would happen to her.

"I don't really know." I admitted sincerely. Raising my hand to my chin I ran through my options, speaking my thoughts out loud "All I do know is that there is only two ways to find out what happened. Reach a Freedom Fighter base and ask, or go to Robotropolis and do a little recon of my own. If both of you already meet up with other Freedom Fighters and they couldn't tell you any more than what you've told me, than I guess that really only leaves the second option as a way to get some hard answers."

With my mind racing, I did not wait for a reply from the other two as I made a dash back into the forest and quickly disappeared into the thick undergrowth. I only scarcely knew where Robotroplis was based on the last time I visited Knothole Village. If memory served it was due West of the forest, and if I wasn't mistaken I should have only been a few hours travel from the entrance to Knothole when that... energy wave hit me. I practically sailed through the trees and bushes like a ghost. Swift and silent. Its something I'm quite proud of; being able to move so easily through the trees without making much noise. But I guess that largely comes from being a deer; a deer who grew up in the forest. I only hope that I can move about just as easily in Robotropolis. The last thing I want is to draw attention to myself in a place like that.
