RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails was a red blur when he grabbed the snacks from the bear and swooped away from the kick that would befall the bear. The reason Tails was able to do it was because of his tails spinning very quickly. And, of course, he can keep up with Sonic. Tails thought, "Finish him off Vanessa." RE: Tails' Workshop
With a loud crack, the blue cat slammed her feet into the bears face. Continuing to press into him until he was flat on the floor. With another sharp stomp, the bear was out cold. A satisfied look on the cat's face.
She motioned for Tail's to give her the snacks, taking a seat on the K.O.ed bear. The flames surrounding her limbs dissipated with a fizzle. "That'll teach him from touching my stuff, say what's your name?" Vennessa cocked her head, the thought rushing to her mind. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: Tails' Workshop
"You're still an idiot."
"Thanks, Sis. I love you too." "If it was possible to verbally underline the word 'idiot', now would be a good time." "I think I got the point." "Heck, by my book, what you did is enough to earn a promotion to dumba-""Okaaaaaaaay, Semyl, that's enough.""-ause never before have I ever had the misfortune to be with someone who disregarded ALL instructions of directions just because he was too busy staring at the lady's-""Was not!""-s, which also reminds me- Eye contact, stupid. Jeez, having to make up an excuse for you every time you get caught staring is just wrong." Skyes sauntered about, wincing at every rise in volume Semyl's irritated voice threw out. She wasn't always like this. Only when she was mad. Or pensive. Or angered. Or depressed. Or groggy, hungover, stressed, working, or sleeping, even. Other than that, she was pleasant to be around. On those few, few, few occasions. But she was the older twin- maybe moodiness was normal? Or maybe it's a woman kind of thing. Or possibly because she's canine. Or even- "Calling in, Skyyyyyyyyes. Earth to Skyes. Hellooooooo. Anyone home?" Semyl called out to her giant-of-a-brother, frowning. She tapped him once on the shoulder, stared at him, and began to wind up her arm, crashing her knuckles into his cheek. Skyes cried out in surprise and fell to the ground with a resounding thud, getting up quickly and turning around. "A-a-ah. S-sorry, I was thinking." he muttered, rubbing the side of his head sorely. "You didn't have to punch me!" "Pay attention, you nearly walked into a tree! And don't be such a softy! You're twice the size of me. Maybe a little less. Aaaaaaaanyways, what I was saying... Since we apparently got lost, thanks to SOMEONE in our merry little fellowship of two, what're we gonna do next?" "What we always do when we're stuck in the middle of nowhere- camp out under the stars!" "I wish you wouldn't say that so cheerfully, like it was a good thing. Creeps hang out in dark forests like this at night- thugs, bandits, weird-o's, and people who would do worst to us- me in particular- if they realized we were alone." "You're being paranoid." "I'm being careful. You never know what kind of people we can encounter. This isn't even our world anymore- even I don't have a clue how bad the lawless can get. We could be in a world with gumdrops and ice cream, or we could be in a world where the average citizen has more previous offenses than I do." "You never apologized to Mr. Miranda. "Wait, what?" "Mr. Miranda. You said 'previous offenses'. That guy you socked in the face when he caught you stealing- wasn't that one of them?" "Ugh! I already told you, it was for-" "Ajiryn. I know." "To think that I can get a 'record' for stealing food. No wonder no one respected authorities in our world." "Yeah, but that was one where you were doing it for a good reason. There's still no explanation for the other twenty-something counts of 'really random deviancy'." "That's not even a legitimate offense, moron." "I wouldn't be surprised if they invented it just for you, Semyl. You're lucky Uncle Sean worked downtown, or you would of been in so much more trouble." "Is having connections a crime?" "Er- no." "Exactly, so shut up." Semyl folded her arms and Skyes knew that meant the conversation was immediately over. ---------- 20 Minutes Later "..........We've been walking in circles for twenty minutes, haven't we?" "I don't think we have..." Semyl growled angrily and prodded him in the arm. "Of course we've been going in circles. I've seen that bush before. It's the exact same bush from 15 minutes ago." "I- uh- I think bushes look alike, Sis." "Nu-uh. I remember that exact bush. It looked like it was flipping me off. It's mocking me, Skyes. The damn bush is mocking me, Skyes." "You're exaggerating, Sis. You're probably just seeing- woah, hey, it DOES kind of look like it is fli-" "I'm going to uproot that bush. I swear I am." ---------- 30 Minutes Later "Skyyyyyyyyyyyes, my hands are all sticky." "You're the one that attacked a bush. Maybe now you'll be kinder to- HEY! Don't wipe it off on my tunic!!!" "You were just standing there." Skyes looked down at the stain apprehensively. "Aw maaaaaaan." Semyl sat down, picking at the grass as she looked around her- trees to the left, trees to the right. Only, through the left, was... "Light...? Hey Skyes, check it out, I think I see a clearing- ta-da~! That way!" "Same here- and I hear something off in that direction." he said quietly, ears perking up at the sound of faint voices. His nose wrinkled and he shook his head. "All I smell though, is...... bear." "Ya don't think maybe a bear lives around here? I mean, if it smells like it, it usually IS it." "No, I mean, not the kind of bear we know. I'm talking about one that hasn't showered in days." "It could be a hobo." "I was thinking more along the lines of 'devolved', but sure." "Devolved? Don't be stupid. No one has EVER heard of a fuzzy that walked on four legs and couldn't speak." "Maybe not in our world, but-" Skyes began to argue, before Semyl's eyes widened. He turned around in time to see some figure a few meters away drop down in a spiral of flame. Kind of like... "Ajiryn!" his sister shouted, running out to the commotion and stopping a few feet before the group. "Aj! We thought we lost you a couple kilometers back, and we didn't know how we got separa- ted? Um-" Skyes had barely caught up to her, huffing a little bit. "*wheeze* What have I told you about taking off like that? It's not like he's going any- where?" The two of them stared at the woman, dumbfounded. "Hey, you're-""-not Ajiryn." Semyl peered curiously at the boy across from her. "Another fox? Can't be him. Wrong size, wrong shape. Wrong shade...." she thought, looking up at Skyes... ...who was staring at Vanessa. "Another woman? Whoo boy! Right size, right shape-" He let out a yelp, thoughts interrupted as Semyl yanked on his tail. "Pervert." she whispered, glaring at him. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails looked Semyl and Skyes way and smiled. "Hi you two. Are you hungry? I've got some food in my workshop. Just follow me over to a cat." Tails sat down next to Vanessa and handed her the snacks. He smiled. "I'm Tails. The one and only sidekick of Sonic the hedgehog." He sighed. "I haven't seen him since the world rip." |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Vanessa (I decided I am dropping the double N) looked up, the two dogs coming into the scene making a commotion. She placed the box down next to her feet, taking a napkin from her back pocket she wiped the small amount of blood from the side of her head, throwing it aside. Having worked up a sort of sweat, she unzipped her hoody fully. Taking it off revealing more of her cobalt blue fur, along with the multitude of scars on her arms and midriff. She tied the two sleeves around her waist before taking a bite out of her granola.
"Tools, huh? Funny name. They should have named you like Tails or something." She looked at her box then at the two dogs, grabbing the box and bringing it close to her chest. "Oi, you bastards aren't getting any of my granola, I had to pay for these!" Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: Tails' Workshop
"Who said we wanted your granola bars ya dumb broad?" Semyl huffed at the cat.
"A-a-ack! S-Semyl, don't fight- there's a child near us- Er- hey there little guy! So- um- you also know about this 'world rip' thing too? Because, see, my sister-" "'Ey." "-and I are actually reeeeeeeeally lost. And, er-" "We're looking for anyone we actually know. Which, we would have found someone by now if my dear brother wasn't such an idiot and felt the need to ogle every woman he saw- speaking of which... Skyes!" "B-buh?" Skyes shook his head- he heard her up to 'for anyone' before he felt extremely distracted all of a sudden and started to stare at Vanessa. "E-er, yeah. But we've had no luck." "Especially you." Semyl muttered to him. "H-hey!" "Ya dope, you forgot to even introduce us." she scolded him after he started to walk off with Tails. "I'm Semyl Lowell- 'seh-mole'-, and my oversized blockhead of a brother is named Skyes. Please try not to pay him much mind." she added to Vanessa, who Skyes had already strolled in front of, offering his hand. "Pleased to meet you, miss...?" |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails wasn't sure if he liked the advances that Skyes was giving him, but when Semyl brought Skyes attention elsewhere he sighed with relief. "Thank gosh." Tails listened to Semyl and was very interested in their troubles. He shook his head at Skyes for thinking he was in jackpot city with Vanessa and for thinking that Tails was a girl as well. He was also shaking his head at Vanessa for not always listening to him. Tails replied to Semyl. "Semyl, if you need any help to find this name you yelled at me - I think it was Ajiryn (A ja rin) - I'll be glad to help find her." Tails paused for a second. "But we can't go beyond this Great Forest, I don't wanna get sucked into another world rip. Ever since the world rip, I haven't ever gone beyond the forests' edge." |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Vanessa looked up at the dog, her face stuffed with granola."Pleased to meet you Blockhead! but uhhh" Crumbs and seeds fell down her shirt as she gave a very puzzled look at why the hand was offered. "Oh! I get it!" She threw down the box of snacks grabbing the large dog's paw with both her own. She pulled Skyes down forcing his elbow onto the K.O.ed bears stomach. Before he knew it, Skyes had been muscled into an arm wrestling position by the blue cat.
"Oi, you wanna have a match don't you? I like that." A look of fiery determination swept over her face as she prepared to slam Skyes arm back. Eager with anticipation at a chance to challenge a rather strong looking fellow, her fist set ablaze. Even though Skyes hand would be touching, he would just feel a mildly warm sensation. RE: Tails' Workshop
"Hahahaha, it's 'Ah-jeer-ihn'. Don't feel bad, almost no one can pronounce his name." Semyl smiled, thinking of what the irritated fox would have said if he were here. ("Hey! My name is perfectly pronounceable!") "At least, that's the way I always thought it was pronounced. Isn't that right, Skyes? ...Skyes? Oh brother."
"Hang on, Sis, I think this is some..... odd form of a greeting... Fascinating....." Skyes said, staring at the flaming hand gripping him over the bear. "E-e-e-er- no, my name isn't actually 'blockhead'. See what you do, Semyl? Jeez." ".....my brother, arm wrestling with a woman over a..... 'bear'. That looks like a non-anthro, unless bears in this world like to run about naked. This officially stopped making sense a couple of seconds ago." Semyl said awkwardly. "Then again, nothing has made sense to me ever since the world rip....." she thought, staring at Tails. "Hmmm.... how would I tell kid this.... er- well, I can understand your fear of the world rip. It's kinda scary even to me. But you don't have to worry- it's not like a vacuum or anything. It won't suck you up out of the sky or anything. I'm not sure how it works, but I think maybe these world rips are, uh..... 'sleeping'? Either way, you don't have to worry about disappearing forever if you go to the edge of the forest." "HAhaha, hey, Sis, check it out! It doesn't burn." Skyes said, starting to push forward on Vanessa's hand. "Er- that's nice, Skyes." Semyl was fairly certain he shouldn't be doing anything with someone who could light her hand on fire- apparently he forgot how many times Ajiryn accidentally torched him. "I COULD stop him, but he wouldn't learn that way. On the other hand, I always get on him about finding a chick that isn't a wimp, so this might be interesting." she thought cheerily. "You're on!" Skyes growled, now entirely focused on the woman. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails listened to Semyl about her theory of the world rip, but it still didn't entirely convince him that he wouldn't get sucked up into another world rip. However, Tails was willing to give it a try if someone were to go with him. He asked. "Semyl, could you take me to the edge of the forest so I can see for myself? And when we get there, for emotional support, can you walk with me beyond the edge of the forest so I'll feel safe?" |
