RE: Lythum Labs
"I see."

Dr. Davis did not seem to register the dead body and it seemed everyone with him also did not register it anymore. The receptionist was the only one still in shock over what happened and when Cila moved to followed Dr. Davis, she bolted for the air lock.

"Let us show you around the place, and see what you think about our labs."

"We got a runner!"

Cila watched as she ran down the hallway towards the lift they had come in.

"Cila dear, please take her in one piece and alive."

The rifle swung around as Cila when into onto her one of her knees. The shot only took a second. The sudden sound of a shot rang out as an energy bullet went straight into the receptionist back and she went down with a thud. Cila looked a bit worried.

"I think may have rendered her unable to use her legs for the rest of her life."

Dr. Davis was at already at the door as a red light appeared and began scanning from top to bottom.

"Minor details Cila, are not important."

"Alright."

Cila swung the rifle around and back under her cape as she walked over to the rest of the group.

"Etha, handle the clean up. Make sure our lovely receptionist is moved to our lab. I think she will be a better test subject then receptionist based on her lack luster performance today."

"Understood, I will notify HR to ensure all records are taken care of."

The formal fox gave a small bow of respect as she head over to the desk and used the phone and began to make some phone calls. The red light finished scanning and a deep female voice spoke.

I.D. Laboratory Head Dr. Davis Heather Confirmed. Please state request.

"Guest ID access rights for unknown and primary access gate to be opened."

Request Granted. Would guest please stand before scanner and state full name in a clear audible voice.

Davis moved out of the way for Rosalie to stand in front of the now clear red eye that was at the top of the door.

Evalaine watched the shot with a mild sence of amusement but disinterest. Looking back at Davis she noticed his movements and then stepped forwards at the computer request.

"Dr Evalaine Chastity Rosalie," she said smoothly as she looked up at the computer eye. Casting an eye to the side she spoke, "I would say I'm impressed already, this facility is certainly well built."

RE: Lythum Labs
"Ah, indeed it has. I must say even as a computer programmer its security is impressive."

Welcome Dr. Evalaine Chastity Rosalie to Lythum Labs.

The door made a huge click as for cylinder objects turned and then the door opened with the door moving four re-enforced panels away revealing a long walk way to the main building. It has a moving track which people would stand or walk towards the facility. Davis, Tia, and Cila stepped on to the moving platform.

The full building was visible from this angle, it was a mult-floored building all connected by a central pillar. The pathway they were on connected to the center platform. A diagram of the simple layout of the building was posted on the wall and appears...

RE: Lythum Labs
Evalaine quickly stepped forwards onto the platform next to Tia and looks out over the full structure. Bringing up her right wrist she begins to tap a few commands into the computer there.

"Assuming sea pressure to be inexcess of ten order of magnitutes above that of air pressure and.....composition of exterior walls. Structural stability would seem to be ample although could be better." she said to herself with an amused look on her face.

Her attention then shifted from the outside to the inside. She glanced at Cila, shook her head and then glanced at Tia. For a moment she stood looking at her with a growing sense of interest on her face. "An interesting specimen you have here. Some form of cybernetics yes? Tell me, was this an implant or a full construct?"

RE: Lythum Labs
"Good eyes, I see."

Davis looked towards Tia as he spoke.

"Tia is a implant based, we've replaced pretty much everything in her. Her blood, muscles, and bones. She is my beta model for Combat Cyborgs project. Her output under normal conditions is on average twice normal output with a potential for around 5 times potential output. The problem is software at this point. The implants place a heavy amount of mental stress due to excessive information, we are currently trying to simplify the data input to lower the side affects."

He turned towards Cilas and spoke again.

"Cilas, is a bit of a half-success. She does not have much stress from her implants but she also suffering from low data input, so inputting new data to her is rather troublesome. She also was sabotaged at some point and programmed to kill me but she lacks the ability to execute any impulses unless ordered to do so."

He then looked at the glass hallway they were moving down.

"As for the composition, that was all for looks since we are using a more modern means to help keep the water out."

He then tapped the glass a bit and as he did what appeared to be a net appeared and disappeared every time he made contact with the glass.

"A energy based field created by composition of the glass itself. It changed its strength and malleability based on amount of current is placed into the glass itself, right now its set to normal but in a crisis, it can block out a good amount of pressure and damage externally and internally. Of course as you saw even without power its enough to hold but when powered, its far stronger."

He placed his hand to his chin as he thought for a second as he was already enjoying this conversation. He has also noticed on how fast she reacted to new stimuli, her reactions were too quick but at the same time she was over-reacting to stimuli and processing it rapidly. His cyborgs all start like that but become use to it and 'slow' down visibly to fit in but it seemed like she was stuck in that state.

"I must say I believe you are under the influence of some substance. Your reactions and thought process times are equal to some of my cyborgs but you do not seem not adjusted to that state of awareness, so I guess that its some from of drug. Am I wrong?"

They were halfway down the hallway, as a few deep sea fishes swam by as well.

RE: Lythum Labs
Evalaine paused momentarily and then looked at Davis. "It does more than simply increase my response time." She reached up and brushed a hand through her hair, "I think I look reasonably good for a woman who looks a third of her age."

She turned away with a small laugh, "Citadin was never released due to side effects but I think you could count me as a successful case. It directly stimulates cell division and recodes my DNA every few seconds. The end result is my body reacts faster to exterior events and my mind can run at a much higher pace. I dare say that without it I would not have had the capacity to develop the hard light projection system that my daughters use to survive."

RE: Lythum Labs
"Ah that is impressive but if it is as you say then you must suffer from mental side effect induced by the rapid re-coding. You are indeed is an impressive result to have overcome that."

He could tell clearly why Lythum was very interested in her now. She not only must have been a great researcher but she only became better under the influence of Citadin which made her own thought process much faster.

"Well, lets us get to the tour shall we?"

He had intended for Etha to handle the tour but after meeting someone this interesting, he had decided to handle the tour himself.

"The building itself run off thermal vents at the bottom of the ocean in conjunction with more traditional forms of energy, I believe a form of cold-fusion that our Energy Department was working on."

The ride came to and end as the door opened the second they got close showing a long hallway that slowly turned. He started down the left side as he kept talking.

"Each of the platforms and rooms are module so, if god forbid, some idiot was to let something loose or out of control we can eject the lab itself or the entire platform without loosing the entire facility."

He was clearly jokily adding the 'god forbid' part as they began to pass some of the labs. It appeared they were in a robotic wing based on the number of parts and machines.

"This wing is the robotic wing. A major focus regarding AI development and body design. The range from combat reasons to wanting to build the perfect women. I have to say I prefer the real thing."

RE: Lythum Labs
Why did he have to say that!?!

Tia face went a bit red as she knew he was making a direct reference to her. She kept her face as in control as she could but the thought process already crossed her mind when he suggested it. She wished she could beat the thought out of her head. She was half tempted to delete her own thought using her internal computer functions but a dark part of her just wanted to leave it alone. She took a deep breath and then focused back on watching Davis and keeping an eye on the new hire.

RE: Lythum Labs
Evalaine let a broad smile cross her face at the compliment. Indeed she was as impressed with herself as anyone else would be. In her mind she was perfect and nothing could change that. Of course in reality things were a little different, anyone who called her earlier actions normal would need a thorough mental evanulation; still to her there was no problem.

She returned her attention to the structure as Davis continued the tour. Her attention flicked from one point to another, picking out the joints as she went and committing them to memory without even realising it. At the same time the computer on her wrist was giving a steady flashing light signal as it mapped out the path she was taking and began labelling sections as Davis pointed them out.

As they started moving through the robotic section Evalaine decided to speak. "You'll forgive me if I seem a little uninterested in robotics. I consider the subject to be somewhat of a waste of time. Granted you have some very impressive models here but a machine is still a machine even if it is encased in flesh."

She cast another look at Tia and then Cilas, "The integration of cybernetics is not easy I will admit but I have been working on pure biological recreation. To duplicate a person right down to even their thought process. My research has had mixed results so far."

RE: Lythum Labs
"Straight to the point, I like that!"

Dr. Davis decided was best just to head to the biological research sector then, since it was clear that was her field of study. He head towards what appeared to be another lift and hit the button to call it then.

"Duplication. That is indeed a tough field to develop. I use a mental formatting process for my cyborgs so that I can install software and programs to operate the more fine components of the cybernetics. You can take a look at it later since much of the theory I believe might be able to helpful since much of it is about creating a thought net inside an a brain."

The door opened and he stepped in and held the door for her as well.

"The departments you would be interested in are on the lowest floor, the Biological Research Sector. My office is in fact on this floor as well. Cloning solves a large portion of your delimna with creating a replica body and but the problem lays with the mind doesn't it. I've done mental programming to create artificial computer thoughts in Tia and Calis' head. You will not have the same problem with avoiding overwriting an existing thought process but still to create a normal human thought process would be difficult. I admit its already difficult to create a computer thought process, let alone re-create an original."

This research has major benefits to my project as well. If she does develop a way to create a full human thought process in a blank brain then it would be possible to use her theory as the criteria for prevent overwriting existing thoughts, a major problem I currently have with my current cyborgs.

She clearly had the knowledge and based on her objective he would haze the guess of resurrecting dead family.
