Chalk Ammelid
![]() Name: Chalk Ammelid Age: 22 Gender: Female Species: Rabbit Faction: Freedom Fighters Alignment: Hero Appearance: Chalk could very well have been a slim figure but instead she has developed a rather toned figure. It isn't extreme, just enough to have muscles without them being too noticeable. For physical appearance she had brown fur, interrupted here and there by lighter brown and white fur. Her ears flop forward, a lined pattern decorating the fronts. Her hair is black with white tips, cut short around her shoulders. She generally wears whatever she likes, normally opting for something loose and none restrictive. To this end you can commonly see her in strappy tops and loose pants. Whatever she is wearing though you can guarantee to see a pair of black ribbons tied around the tips of both her ears, a keepsake from her mother. Personality: Chalk has a mixed temperament. Depending on her mood she can be extremely friendly or downright hostile. Normally it is the former though, Chalk normally only resorting to hostility when someone really annoys or upsets her. She has a reputation of flying off the handle and few can calm her down when she does. She isn't particularly smart in the learned definition but she has a good instinct and often notices things others may not. She relies a lot on this, usually going with the flow and feeling her way through situations in whatever way she sees fit. Whatever the outcome though she never looses sight of her objective and is extremely focussed when her mind is set on something. Family: Chalk doesn't remember her real family. Name: Linda Elane Age: 15 Species: Red Panda Linda is Chalk's adopted sister. She was rescued by Chalk a few years ago and has been with her ever since. Transport: Chalk uses her ANGEL suit for transport when needed. Weapons: Armoured Neutral Gravity EnvironmentaL Suit (ANGEL Suit) This piece of technology is in essence an armoured unit that provides protection to the user in hostile environments. The basic design revolves around a large backpack upon which is mounted a small set of tail fins and a larger set of flight wings. The flight wings have rocket motors built into them allowing the user to operate in any condition and the suit itself produces a gravity nulling field that allows the user to float for a short time. The suit also has a set of boots, which are fitted with a second set of rocket boosters for added manoeuvrability. In addition to this the suit can create an artificial environment around the user allowing them to enter hostile environments without the need for special equipment. This artificial environment also acts as a breathable bubble in water. The suit is operated by a neural interface. Those that are to use the units are placed through a number of medical operations in order to adapt their physical structure to use the units. Microfibres are grafted into their skin in order to provide direct links with the units controls and the subjects muscle structure is enhanced to help operate the machinery. On Chalk's world the units are used both in military and civilian applications; Chalk's variant is the latter. The units has a built in particle manipulation unit that can alter particles within the air into objects that are programmed into its database. This database is not rewritable and requires a complete database transfer to change the manipulation physics. Chalk's model of the manipulation software is that of the civilian fire service. The suit can create several weapon loadouts. These weapons have to be handheld so Chalk can only use two of them at any given time (See moves section). History: Chalk's life is one of two stories and filled with its share of disaster. From being a young child up until her fourteenth birthday it was a picture of happiness. She was the younger of two siblings and enjoyed a peaceful family life. This changed suddenly on her fourteenth birthday when the family was involved in a car accident on the way to a local fun fair. Chalk was left in a coma for almost six months after the accident and had to have reconstruction surgery on both her legs, her left arm and three of her ribs. It was a miracle she even survived but the greatest loss was yet to come. The crash also left her with partial brain damage that effectively erased her entire memory of the last fourteen years of her life and left her with a slight speech impediment. In some ways the doctors felt the brain damage was a gift as well as a curse. It meant that Chalk had no memory of her family, all of whom had died in the accident. Alone and unsure about who she even was Chalk was placed into foster care but it didn't seem to help. She spent days just crying, afraid of everyone and everything. It took another two years before she would willingly trust anyone but even so her mental capacity was still that of a young child. Whilst she could now speak again she still had great trouble with various subjects beyond the basic level. She could perform basic numeracy and could read and write but further studies, no matter how simple, flew right over her head. Upon further examination by the doctors it was found that the brain damage she had suffered was affecting her ability to learn. She may very well eventually learn other subjects and pass her school exams but it would take decades if not longer. At this news Chalk became fiercely angry and began lashing out at anyone who said anything she didn't understand. All seemed lost for Chalk, she had no family, no money, hardly any education and was suffering from brain damage that made it difficult to do anything but simple tasks. However, Chalk was not to be relegated to the bottom of society just yet. It was another few years later, a little after her eighteenth birthday that she saw an advertisement for job positions in the fire service. Chalk held such people in high regard, not only had they saved her during the incident that killed her family but it was one of the firemen that had helped her come to terms with her situation all those years ago. She decided to apply, wanting to help them in any way she could. Despite a great deal of trouble getting through the basic examinations she found the physical tests another matter all together. Chalk was a surprisingly strong individual, possibly due to the hours she spent in the gym punching her sorrows into the punch bags. Her species also helped a lot and together her upper and lower body strength proved to be the best in her group. It was a few weeks later that Chalk's application was finally accepted. A few months later she began training, both physical and academic. The latter Chalk found difficult but she received a lot of help from those within the service who remembered who she was. Although it took her longer than most recruits Chalk finally graduated a little before her twentieth birthday and began active duty. Her natural instinct and quick thinking was soon discovered and Chalk proved herself time and again in one situation after another. A few months after she started active service Chalk was involved in the rescue of a young girl. There was a fire at her home and the entire family had been trapped inside. By the time Chalk and the brigade arrived part of the house had already collapsed and the rest was looking unstable. Following orders Chalk dived into the house in an attempt to rescue anyone, all she found was the girl. Later discovered to be named Linda, the girl spent many months in hospital being treated for broken bones and first degree burns. Chalk felt drawn towards her, seeing a part in her that was just like herself. Over the months Chalk visited her many times, slowly gaining her trust as best she could. Linda herself spent most of her waking time crying having been told her family was dead and Chalk made sure she was there as often as she could be. When Linda was finally discharged Chalk decided to adopt her, a decision that Linda was more than happy to agree with. The pair slowly became even closer, developing an almost sibling like bond between them. For the next few years the time passed happily and Chalk almost felt like her life was finally coming together. This all changed as the dimensional merging took place. Chalk and Linda were pulled from their own world and dumped onto the surface of Mobius. Neither knew where they were and neither expected to be assaulted by robotic machines. In the scuffle Chalk was knocked out and Linda was captured. When she finally woke Chalk found herself deep in a forest surrounded by furs of all sizes that she didn't know. Her instincts kicked in and she flew into a rage looking for Linda. Several demolished trees later as the group managed to calm Chalk down she discovered she had been rescued from Robotropolis and Linda had been taken prisoner. Chalk almost stormed right back into the city to try and save her but was held back by the group. They explained who they were, Freedom Fighters aiming to rid the world of Robotnik and his minions. As they explained Chalk began to realise that she couldn't rescue Linda alone and so eventually agreed to stick with the group and help them, they in turn promising to help rescue Linda. Initial friendships were hard to find but Chalk is still focussed on rescuing Linda and finding out just what has happened to herself and the world she knew. Combat Style: Chalk's combat style is very aggressive, the rabbit often being at the front of an attack or even going it alone. She seemingly has no fear but is really just extremely confident and fights in this manner. She seems to favour ranged combat but will gladly swing into a melee scuffle if the situation demands it. Moves: Chalk doesn't have any moves in the general sense. Instead she relies on the equipment her suit can provide, these are as follows; 1) Water Cannon: This cannon is small and contains its own manipulation circuit designed solely to create vast quantities of water that the cannon in turn fires. The cannon can fire a continuous stream or be charged for a period upon which time a large bolt of water can be fired at high pressure. 2) Revolver Stake: A demolition tool used by the fire service to break apart fallen debris or blow holes in walls. The appearance is that of a large revolver clip fitted with six rounds. The rounds are loaded into a large metal pike which is then thrust deep into the target. When the round is detonated it releases the detonation from the tip of the pike, blowing apart things from the inside. 3) Jackhammer: In essence a giant battering ram on a tether. This weapon is a large solid metal arrowhead weighing several hundred kilograms and fitted with a small rocket motor for extra impact potential. The hammer is fired on a long tether which is then retracted after a hit. Alternatively it can be fired without the tether and a new hammer can be formed to replace it. This takes time though so the weapon cannot be fired continuously. 4) Rescue Claw: A large metal claw operated by hydraulics. This was mostly used for rescue operations where gentle movements were needed. There's nothing special to note about this weapon. 5) Storm Shield A massive physical shield held in both hands and is big enough to cover Chalk's entire body. The shield can survive intense flames and is strong enough to withstand a large blast or structural collapse. Because it is two handed it cannot be used if Chalk has another weapon. 6) Foam Expansion Launcher A launcher system housing non propelled foam projectiles. The cartridge is launched by means of a magnetic launching system and is equipped with a pressure sensitive tip. When it strikes an object it ruptures and releases its pressurised contents. This contents is enough high expansion fire fighting foam to cover a radius of 5m to a depth of about a meter. The foam, whilst harmless, is certainly distracting. CS Move – Angel Evolution This move uses the Chaos and Sol energy in the air in order to over power Chalk's ANGEL suit. The resulting charge causes the suits particle manipulation software to cross files and evolve. An extra set of flight wings are created and Chalk can create two weapons of her choice with an increased strength output. The end result is an increase in both speed and offensive capability. However, the overcharge causes files to corrupt which must then be rewritten by the suits central computer. The overcharge lasts two full posts and then shuts down. After the effect is over Chalk cannot use any of her weapons and her flight capability is nulled whilst the computer repairs the damage. This takes a further two turns. Skills: Brace Chalk is extremely good at keeping her footing regardless of the situation. She is quite capable of bracing a vast variety of attacks and remaining on her feet. Obviously this doesn't stop her from sliding backwards but it allows her to counter with a much greater ease. This obviously doesn't help against attacks coming from a blind side. Aero Expert Being a rabbit Chalk is well versed in giant leaps but when coupled with the abilities of her ANGEL suit this translates into an individual who is very capable of precise control when in the air. Strengths: + Chalk is highly agile and surprisingly strong. + She possesses a quick mind and a keen instinct. + Her ANGEL suit gives her an edge in combat. Weaknesses: - Her determination can sometimes blind her to impossible situations. - Although agile the mass of her suit means she is slow on foot. - ANGEL suit susceptible to large electrical currents or powerful magnets. |
