Vertex Omega the Hedgehog
Name: Vertex Omega
Age: 18
Sex: M
Species: Hedgehog
Appearance: [Image: vertex.png]

Personality: Vertex is wildly calm most of the time. He has a hard time making friends, because trust is out of his league. He takes things seriously, and he has quite a temper.

Alignment: Neutral

Family: None very close to him in this moment in time.

Transportation: See bio second part

Biography: Vertex grew up in King Forest, a not-to-dense temperate forest. He was made fun of throughout his childhood for being well...different. He found his natural gravitation powers in an argument between himself and another kid, fighting over a kickball. He just got so mad, he pointed his hand and next thing he knew, himself and others nearby were floating. The leader of the forest decided it was dangerous for Vertex to live in the forest, and therefore, he was banished. Banished to the other end of the world. Heck, it was harsh, but he was able to survive off the natural resources of the land. He was in yet another forest, while a large flatland was in the center. Vertex used his natural abilities to gather the fruits trees grew, and hunt the native animals.

He lived his life in that forest, until he was 16. During those many years, he had a chance to better control his powers. When he went further and further west into the land, he finds an abandoned junkyard. It seemed to glow. He found a beat-up looking extreme gear, and a bunch of parts next to it. The parts were glowing, to Vertex it seemed they were screaming "USE ME DANGIT! USE ME NAO!". He took quite a while to figure out where things go, how to properly attach them, and how to actually stabilize it so it wouldn't fly in random directions. Tools that he found nearby were used. After a while, it got a bit annoying to try and figure out the god-forsaken thing, eventually, through preservation, he did.

Today, Vertex has no definite settlement, he goes wherever the wind takes him.

Moves/Combat Style: Vertex's style is concentration. He aims to attack his opponent in battle with utmost accuracy, aiming for the pressure points he knows. His past struggles helped him to become a better fighter, learning from his past mistakes.

Skills: Vertex possesses the power of Gravity control, where he can alter gravity of an object, while storing it into another, while also he can walk on walls and upside down, even float airborne for short periods of time.

(Can float for a max of three posts, and can walk on walls for a max of five, ceiling two. Max weight that can be lifted: 500 pounds, Time taken for lifting depends. (20 or 30 pounds would take less than a second, while lifting a heavy load could take from 15 to 30 seconds. Think about it, that's a pretty dang long time. Also, he has to have a greater amount of energy to lift heavier objects. And now I have to explain energy distribution -.-

Total energy = 100%, charged 2% every post.
Walking on walls, ceiling, and floating = 5% energy loss for the max amount of time listed above.
20 to 30 pounds of gravity lifting would result in 5% to 10% energy loss, while larger loads (Max 500 pounds) would take up about three quarters of his energy.
If his energy reaches rock bottom, he becomes very weak.

Time objects can be lifted:
Lighter objects = 5 posts
Heavier Objects = Lifts and drop them in one move. (1 post))

Strengths: Quite quick on land, he's one with gravity (as in he's so used to being off the ground he can't get dizzy from spinning around and crap), he's skilled with extreme gear creation

Weaknesses: He has no effect on Magnetic Materials, no means of physical defense, (no energy shield or whatever) very to taunts; they can get to his anger quickly and he straight up loses concentration out of anger

(FINALLY FINISHED! Also, if I missed anything, tell me pl0x ^^)

RE: Vertex Omega teh Hedgehog
Hi there and welcome to the forums. Dunno if you saw it or not but we have a template for submitting profiles in this topic: http://www.saftermath.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=154 . If you could go over it and edit your post with that information in it we'd appreciate it, then we'll take a look at your profile. If you need any help the staff is always willing to lend a hand.

RE: Vertex Omega teh Hedgehog(FINISHED)
Finished your profile I see, cool cool. Just thought I mentioned that the board will be resetting in a few weeks so we'll have a new story and extras. I can review your profile now but if you'd rather wait a little until the restart that's fine too. Let me know. ^^

RE: Vertex Omega teh Hedgehog(FINISHED)
I intend to check both your and Daichi's profiles after my classes tomorrow. Don't worry. I have seen them. I just have a lot of classwork to do for midterms, so you have not been forgotten.

RE: Vertex Omega teh Hedgehog(FINISHED)
Okay, now that I'm finally more awake. @@; Here goes.

There are only three flaws in this profile. One is learning a fighting style from repeatedly kicking a tree. A tree doesn't talk back and tell you what to do. I understand that people can self learn, but with his methods, it's unlikely he would be very successful. I would actually rather you go the "taught by someone in the village before banishment" route and maybe continuing those forms of training afterward. It would also explain how he knows about the twelve pressure points.

The other quirk is the gravity control. I'm uncomfortable with an ability explained to lift an entire forest up. Controlled or uncontrolled, if it's something he's done in the past, who is to say he couldn't do it again? I'm not saying eliminate these powers all together, but I would like to see more clarified information such as the size of objects that he can move, the length of time it would take to transfer the gravity depending on the size, and about how long he can de-gravitate himself. Measure it in posts (Ex: He can walk upside down on a surface/sideways/whatever for the maximum of four posts).

One last thing. I can't imagine him suddenly being skilled with Extreme Gear creation when by random chance he just found one split in a couple of parts and put them together. Maybe, again, he knew someone back from his village, learned some of them, and applied it then when he found it.

That's the gist of my thoughts. Apologizes for being a bit late/long winded.

Did some edits. He sorta is a self teacher, since nobody is there to teach him.

RE: Vertex Omega the Hedgehog
Self-teaching is fine, but it's unlikely he will be a very good fighter without any guidance at all. He could be a fighter, sure, but he's not going to be a very good one unless he has constant run-ins with people and gotten his ass handed to him more than enough to learn from his mistakes. That's what I was explaining.

You still haven't touched on what the heaviest object he can lift. I would imagine, whatever that weight, it would also be the distributed total amount of weight he could for multiple objects (as in, say, he could lift a 200lb. human being. That would mean he could also lift two 100lb. boxes, four 50lb. crates, etc.) Add a post time length of gravity transfer if you intend for him to lift really heavy objects, too, please.

I think that sums things up. Everything else you've changed is fine by me.

RE: Vertex Omega the Hedgehog
I've added the max weight thing. I wasn't so sure about 500 pounds, but 200 to me just seemed a little small. I know you weren't telling me to make it 200, but just sayin', if that's too much I can decrease.

In addition, I've added an explanation to energy distribution.
