Manga club

Manga club
This is a new idea along the same lines as a book club. Each week we pick a manga (preferably one that has been out for a while, or even better, is complete) and every member of the club reads it. At the end of the week we report back our opinions, ratings, and so on, and basically have a discussion about it all.

We'll take it in turns to pick a manga, and it can be any type of manga you like. Your responsibility as a member will be to read the manga selected even if you don't like that kind of manga - we're not asking you to read the whole thing, just to read as much as you want and report on it.

I'd like to have, say, three members of this before we start. I'm member number one ^_^

I'll announce our first manga/week when we get to 3 members. Oh, one more thing, we'll be using OneManga as our manga source unless someone wants to share another manga site, in which case it should be made known in your selection, and it should avoid downloads and specialist programs to read).

RE: Manga club
a manga VOLUME right?
I'd say you'd have to be trolling to suggest reading DBZ in a week.... :|

Nah, just read as much as you feel comfortable with. Try reading all of Death Note in 24 hours... makes your brain go fuzzy, lemmie tell ya.

RE: Manga club
So...the manga at MangaOne... I've never heard of that site, to be honest. Does it cost anything to join?

RE: Manga club
You don't have to join onemanga to read. There's also mangafox, too. I hear their collection is often more accurate.

I don't want to be a thread killer, but this might be breaking terms of service with the provider. At least if we were to leave a link to the resource. I'll have to confirm things with Viper, but simply put. As long as we don't link, I don't think we would get in trouble.

At any rate, I'm up for this when I have time on my hands.

RE: Manga club
Yeah...that is a good point. I'd definitely want to know if we're even allowed to talk about places to find manga without paying.

RE: Manga club
A fair point. Is PMing a linkie to someone via here or MSN permitted? I'd hate to see this trodden into the ground before it gets going Sad

RE: Manga club
I'd say MSN to be safe for now. You can always leave people offline messages. You could also announce which manga on here. I'm sure people are smart enough to figure out how to google things.

RE: Manga club
So, are we doing this or is this idea as good as dead?
