Itching for a Fight
Okay people, as I'm sure NONE of you have noticed (/sarcasm) things are going a bit slow around here lately. In the intrest of reversing this trend and making things go a bit not so slow (at least for me ;P) I'm here to cordially request that someone exchange blows with me.
In other words, anyone wanna duel? Pit one of your characters against one of mine in a clash of mindless violence, completely separate from any kind of story. Like a fighting game, but with completely custom characters and none of those ridiculously annoying button combos that everyone but me can somehow memorize. And here's the best part: no restrictions. Of course you can use your SA character and profile, but you don't have to. I don't care if your character is so hopelessly overpowered that the mods would never let it through judging, I'll just match it in kind. The only requirement on characters is that you tell me a rough idea of their power level. Not their whole moveset (I like to be surprised), just tell me if they can break the world or not, know what I mean? My character choice will depend on how strong your character is, so if your character has more power than the Eclipse Cannon I'll bust out someone of similar strength, or should your character be about as threatening as a mop I'd use someone equally weak. This way we don't get any of those ridiculously miss-matched matchups that make people hate dueling. Kapesh (I spelled that right, right?)? Now, if I've gotten your intrest, there's just a couple of rules you'll need to follow. 1. No goddmodding. I don't care if you can blow up planets, that's fine by me, but crap like stopping time and shooting me in the back of the head is bull. You know what's goddmodding and what isn't, so let's keep it clean. This also means the more obvious things, like don't dodge every attack, you can't be immune to everything, yadda yadda. 2. No metagaming. If you CAN blow up planets, keep in mind that that doesn't mean I'll die if you do. No matter what, the only person that says whether or not I die is me, and the only person that says whether or not you die is you. Basically don't say what your opponent does. Simple, right? That's it. Pretty basic stuff that anyone here aught to know. So, if I've managed to grab your intrest, just post your intrest here. Tell me a general idea of your character's power level and suggest somewhere we should fight; a forest, a crowded city, space, whatever. I'll get back to you fast (I have nothing better to do XP) and we'll be exchanging blows before you know what hit you. |

RE: Itching for a Fight
Can we use characters that are apart of the Sonic universe? You know, like Sonic, Tails, etc.
Please, let me know. |

RE: Itching for a Fight
No, no canon characters. I forgot to mention that. Please, only your own characters, though it doesn't matter if they're from outside of the Sonicverse or not. You could use a Saiyan or a Sith or even a fat plumber if you want to, just no canon characters, please. I want to fight you and your characters, not somebody else's.

RE: Itching for a Fight
I smite you for 9999 damage, twelve times, with my eyes closed. BWAHAHA.
I'm glad someone is trying to reverse the situation here, and as such I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE. I will use Davey Jones... I mean Quartz. YARR. He's an echidna, uses a sword and a sniper rifle, likes to fly or sail, and is comfortable in big cities. Hates rural areas and the countryside, oddly. His power level is nowhere near 9000, he's just an average Joe with a sword and a sense of humour. Suggestion for location... hmm, I think aboard my big shiny ship high above a city would be cool. Too high up to jump down without killing yourself, plenty of tools and objects lying around on the deck to pick up and use as weaponry. |

RE: Itching for a Fight
Alright, sounds good. I happen to love fighting on giant floating ships ^^ They always provided great terrain for Blitzkrieg to pull crazy stunts. Though it seems Blitz would be a leeeetle overpowerd in this matchup... well then, I guess I'll just have to use someone else. My bounty hunter, perhaps.
Alrighty then. Why don't you start the topic, since we're on your ship. I wouldn't want to try to describe it and get it all wrong. Is that ok with you? Also, I have to go to bed now >< so if you'd like you can post the topic and I'll respond first thing tomorrow morning. As for everyone else, I can usually juggle about three duels at a time relatively well, so I'm up for two more challenges. Don't be shy if you don't think you're good enough or whatever, I really don't mind and the only way to get better is through practice. |

Blimey, that WAS quick. I'll start the topic in about 24 hours or so, I've gotta sleep soon and then I gotta wake up and go to work... BOO.
Why is Blitz so powerful? I don't get it it should be about the roleplay and the fun, not the power. Bring him out to play, I might teach you a thing or two

RE: Itching for a Fight
XD I only say he's too powerful because your a fancy dude with a sword and a gun and I'm a combat-oriented battle android with swords attached to extendy arms and nearly invincible armor. And bombs. Just thought I'd mention those.
But you're right, I do think it aught to be about the roleplay and the fun, and I really don't get to use my favorite fan character very often anymore. Alright, I'll use Blitz. But you better bring your A-game, cause I won't go easy! (Okay, I'm lying, I'll go a little easy. But only if you want me to.) |

RE: Itching for a Fight
Now see, the reason I chose Quartz is because he's not god-modded or a power gamer in the slightest
I've thrown him against a fair few opponents in his time and more often than not he's held his own. The sword for example is a rapier, possessed purely for the art of making an opponent look like a tit. The sniper rifle was to round him out, after a fight with a bird went wrong. I mean, you can't fight someone if they stay up in the air constantly Although looking back, there were plenty of funny moments to be had...Long story short, I don't give a rat's ass if I win or lose - more often than not I lose, because my opponent's refused to take a blow and I've played fair and stuff. I'm just in it for the fun - isn't that why any of us roleplay in the first place? ^^ and there ain't nobody more fun to lose with than a vain echidna with lilac fur and a sharper tongue than his sword. And if you lose to him with your best combat wombat, then you deserve to be humiliated IC
