A foxy movie
Fantastic Mr. Fox is coming out in theaters on november 25th I believe and it is going to be a very good movie. I can't wait to see it, because not only do I really want to see this movie with all those beautiful foxes, november 25th also happens to be my birthday. So I am gearing up to see the movie and even if it comes out on an earlier date I will still watch it, but I'll probably be a little disappointed.
If it comes out on my birthday, at least I'll have something to look forward to instead of another year closer to doomsday. I'll be 24 this year and I am so craving to see that movie. I have high hopes for the movie. I can't wait. Oh, I just want to see those wittle foxies and hug them. I hope you guys want to see this movie too, it'll be fun and far out to watch. And please, watch the movie to see what it's like to see foxes in action, don't see it to listen to george clooney's voice. I know how you women are. Please, watch it. It'll be like giving me a present for my birthday. Just tell me what you thought of it when you see it. Love those foxes. I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: A foxy movie
Thanks for the birthday wishes Metallix. I'm very grateful.
And yes, it is from the Robert Dahl book. You can see it on your own satisfaction, I won't blame you. Thanks again for the birthday wishes. I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: A foxy movie
I went to see it and I'm very glad I did. I plan to buy this movie the second it comes out on DVD.
I am a huge fan of stop motion animation, and I hate that CGI has basically replaced it when it comes to animated films. CGI just doesn't feel real when you watch it. It feels like a videogame. With stop motion, you feel like you can reach out and touch things on the screen, which is a really awesome quality for a movie to have. They definitely take advantage of this during the film. All of the sets are incredibly detailed and great fun to just stop and admire. One movie critic described it as kind of like looking into a very detailed dollhouse, and I'd have to agree with him. George Clooney is also perfect as the sly, clever, gentlemanly Mr Fox, so he makes a wonderful main character to follow throughout the story. Although, some of the side characters were just as wonderful too, and I wish they'd had more screen time. Like Krisstoferson (with his kung fu and yoga and athletics and quiet demeanor), who gets captured for most of the third act (>>;; . Aside from this annoying assistant opossum that keeps following Fox around I pretty much liked all of them (even the villains). In fact they were so wonderful I often quit paying attention to the story just so I could watch the banter between all the characters. There's also a subtle reference to Disney's Robin Hood, which also featured an animal cast and a fox as the main character. During an early scene where Ash and Kriss are having a diving contest, you can hear the song "Love", which was used in Robin Hood's soundtrack. This is the actual song from Robin Hood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViQS_g6lgpA Onto the banter...a running joke is made on the fact that this is a PG film. But the characters still spend a lot of time cussing. No...they don't actually say swear words out loud. They say the word "cuss" in place of the word. "The CUSS you are!" "Get the CUSS out of here!" "What the CUSS is this?" I will admit it was pretty funny and unexpected the first couple times, but they do it so much it started to get annoying after a while. The film's big weak spot would be that the animal characters look great from far away...but when the camera does closeups on their faces they kind of look like dead stuffed animals talking. It's very creepy and makes you reel back in your seat a bit. On a TV set this looks scary... Imagine seeing their faces blown up on a movie screen like how I saw them. They really shouldn't have done that as much as they did in this film. The human characters don't have this problem though, at least. Still though, i really want to buy this movie on DVD when it comes out, and I'll probably watch it over and over again once I have it. |

RE: A foxy movie
Let's review this movie. I told you about it. I told you to see it. Is it worth seeing?
Yes, but by now you'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD. I loved the movie. The dialogue was very funny and the story was very engrossing. It was a very good movie. And I'm glad i got to see it on my birthday. |
