Under Cover
Roxanna didn't feel completely comfortable. Not with the situation but her appearence. The landing had gone without a hitch. They had landed cleanly and without being detected. Having diembarked the shuttle had lifted off and retreated to a small island offshore where it could hide more effectively. The trek into the city itself had been short but without incident and she now found herself within the city limits itself.

What made her uncomfortable was the clothing she was currently wearing. Whilst Roxanna was quite relaxed in front of Sarath she was incredibly self concious in front of others. Her usual clothing would have arroused too much suspicion especially with her overly large cloak that covered her from head to foot.

Now she stood in pair of loose trousers and a thin long sleave shirt. Even under her black fur it was possible to pick out a faint bluch nestled across her face. She tried to put it out of her mind, concentrate on other things...but it was difficult. A pouch was strapped around her waist holding her magic cards and a few other necessary items.

Tanya on the other hand seemed at home in her new clothing, a pair of cut off jean shorts and a t-shirt. The mink walked ahead of her, eagerly eyeing everything around her. She could feel Roxanna's gaze on her back though and knew it was too soon to get excited.

Turning to Tallulah she spoke quietly, "If I was to ask, where would you suggest we start our search?"

RE: Under Cover
I looked up from under the brim of what they called a sun hat. Changing into different clothing hadn't really bothered me at first. Clothes were clothes... at least until we were standing in the streets of the city. There were a few humans and furs staring at us as they passed by and it created an unease within my chest. I had had such a tough decision with what to wear in the first place though. Like back at home, the Earthenians had "trends". Tanya eventually forced me into a frilled "tank top" and a skirt that hung a little bit above my knees. Feeling naked, I had collected a thin jacket which they called a vest. How very odd. I readjusted the strap of a large bag called a purse.

"They have a large database which they call a library. That may be a valuable place to begin. I do believe that although our research on the ship is potent, I doubt it would be whole. They also have newstands and -towards the end of the E- ...day- social gatherings we may be interested in attending."

RE: Under Cover
Tanya nodded slowly and seemed to muse over the information for a moment. As she did she caught sight of a male goose at on the other side of the road who happened to be staring at her rather oddly. A small growl sounded in her throat as a glare flashed across her face. The goose quickly looked away and continued on down the street.

"I think we should avoid interations for a while...we seem to be drawing a little attention for some reason. I doubt anyone knows who we are but its better to be safe than sorry. Do you know where this library is?" asked Roxanna.

"Books and words?" moaned Tanya, "Geez this is going to get really boring really fast. When do I get to break something?"

Roxanna shot a small glare at Tanya this time, "You'll do nothing without my say so Tanya. We're here to collect information and if you even think of causing trouble you can rest assured our Lord will hear of it."

Tanya rolled her eyes and turned away, "Yeah yeah, sure. You should have brought Lefina along if you wanted to look at books, at least I could have a little fun with Latooni then."

The mink scoffed slightly and started off up the pavement ahead of them. Roxanna gave a small shake of her head, "Normally I would...but this isn't a normal situation is it." She nodded her head in Tanya's direction, "Lets follow...the last thing I want is to loose track of her.

RE: Under Cover
[Sorry I let this rot for so long. Let's transition to the library~]

Books...

"Books?"

That had to have been the last consideration in my mind. Even if I had collected a generous amount of knowledge on the culture of the planet we had arrived at, the realization that their libraries smelled of wonderfully crisp goodness of aged paper had been the last thought on my mind. I had only encountered it once before on another planet but at the time hadn't had the knowledge on their language or the technological ability to genuinely leaf through their books. Since then, I hadn't seen books on planets and that had me discouraged in truth. We had never had books back on my home planet. We had never required them, I suppose. So, my first sighting of them had probably been more enthusiastic than I had intended.

I almost danced in glee the rest of the way there. I do believe I probably would have at least, but Roxanna stopped me. With slight hesitation, I bowed my head to her words. Abruptly turning it into a nod. Then, I was off down the street after the annoyed mink.

It took us a couple blocks before we finally found what we were looking for. The library was a lesser known one sandwiched between row housing. I do believe some people might have mistook it for a discount store which seemed to be a popular trend to their culture as well, selling used books. I secretly wished it had been one of those places.

"This seems to be the desired location."

I entered it with the slighted tinge of caution.
