Come Halloween I am considering a live broadcast for the forum - yes, like a normal MoDCast except LIVE.. D'Metal is unfortunately busy that day which is a bloody shame as I like making MoDCasts with him, and we make a great team - but I still believe the idea has merit considering the celebratory period!
We could get a IRC-style chatroom on the go and people could drop into there and make musical requests, we could hold live contests, basically add an extra dimension onto what should be epic lulz on the forums. C'mon, how many other Sonic forums have live radio?
If this works I'll see about getting a live show on the go once a fortnight or so, schedules permitting.
Here's the thing though, I'm thinking about not making this a personalised cast - this should be by the forum, for the forum. To this end I would request people to express an interest in such a radio show. If there is interest, I shall look into ways of streaming a feed to peeps so you don't have to download anything. I've already opened up a line of dialogue with two admins about this and the response has been enthusiastic so far.
Throw some ideas at me. This should go down in Sonic Blast history as the best holiday period ever - I want to entertain you guys, you should know that by now!
I would like to know if you want to hear such a show. I would like to know if you would want to be on such a show. Musical requests. Contest ideas. Comical suggestions. Get involved with this, and reap the rewards come Halloween!
Thinking about this whilst making a mini-rant in another topic. This is a post I slapped up on Sonic Blast, and I think it'd be cool to make it more of a Sonic community thing, get other people involved. The MoDCast mentioned is basically my podcast that I make for the site, it's got a small level of popularity and I'm hoping to build upon this for the live broadcast, and give something back to the community. And then it became not just that one, but the Sonic community as a whole.
Would anyone here be interested in listening to a live radio show on Halloween? If you have any ideas to be throwing me, please do so.
