Amy Rose Adventure
So while out traveling on her own Amy hears word of a land in trouble and waiting for a "Hedgehog" to save them. It seems that this is a magical place similar to Little Planet, an island that is almost impossible to find. Thinking that Sonic will definitely show up to save the day Amy decides to head there herself to see him, but when she gets lost looking a fairy from the land finds her and thinks that she must be the hedgehog foretold to come and save their land. Amy is led to a magical island where nature of many kinds and climates usually thrives, but has withered and slowly died because of an evil fairy that has freed itself from an ancient prison. With no sign of Sonic yet in sight Amy decides she'll handle this problem herself and have a story to tell him the next time they meet.

Progressing through the game consists of beating a stage in a withered/dead environment and fighting a boss to restore the land, then beating a stage in a revived version of the previous environment to fight a boss guarding a magic seed. Once Amy has revived all of the lands and collected the seeds planting them around the giant tree in the middle of the island will recreate the evil fairy's prison, which is the object of the quest. Gameplay consists of Kirby-like straightforward platforming in which Amy moves through areas with running and jumping while avoiding or defeating the minions of the evil fairy. Also like a Kirby game there will be no backtracking through previous levels required and any new ability needed to pass an obstacle will be available once it is required.

The key to Amy's personal gameplay revolves around her hammer, which is used to execute different moves as the game goes on. Basic horizontal swings tend to send whatever they hit flying while vertical downward smashes can have a different effect depending on what it hits, one use being to propel her into higher jumps like it did in Sonic Adventure, another being to smash an enemy's defence or stun them to make them easier to hit with another attack that will send them flying into whatever she aims for. Amy can do a top-spin move that attacks in both directions or can be used to slow her decent from falls. She eventually gains a golf-like swing with her hammer that can be used to aim the flight path of whatever she hits(Like Yoshi's egg throwing was in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island), making more complex level and enemy designs possible. Enemies and level puzzles will revolve around making the player figure out the best combination of Amy's moves for any given situation. Each environment will also feature stage-specific gimmicks that must be utilized in tandem with her moves to progress, which differ between withered and restored versions of areas.

Rings are rare on the island but special flowers found there have the ability to call Rings that a person has already touched back to them. In this way the Rings will act as Amy's health meter, increasing as she finds more in the levels like Link finding pieces of heart, while the flowers will act as a health-restoring power-up. Amy will also gain power-ups for her hammer, which create or improve special moves for her.

And that's about all I've thought up so far... besides the totally bad-ass final boss sequence. >Big Grin

How does it sound?

"Don't just sit there and waste your precious time. When you want to do something, do it right away. Do it when you can. It's the only way to live a life without regrets."
— Sonic 1 Japanese Tagline.
