RE: Whatever Happened to...
It's not a requirement to comment on anything around here, to be honest. There are also times when people don't know what to write without sounding redundant. And, yes, some people even are not interested in what others put up. Does that mean that people shouldn't comment? Not necessarily, of course. Feedback, depending on how it's given, can be helpful and inspirational. But some people just choose not to give it. It is how it is. It would probably be different if people around here were crazy about upping their post count, but that would just lead to spammy "i lik it"s or 'it sux'. My opinion.
By the way, you can get a decent mic for $20-30. You talk as though you have to buy art supplies. XP I'll work all summer and save all my paychecks... and I'll be completely broke when school comes around due to my studios. Some people around here use Photoshop. That alone costs $600. I don't think writers have it easy. Don't get me wrong. However, I do believe that it would be wise to consider all the facts before making a case. |

RE: Whatever Happened to...
Dont. Even. TALK about Art Supplies ;~;
I still havent bought my Pastels yet D:<. Photoshop CAN be cheaper for students. Student CS1 was 300 a long time ago. Some schools offer a 80%(!?) discount also. Though that might of been for anything but Adobe products. |

RE: Whatever Happened to...
Well, I don't have to buy art supplies or anything like that, but my cash flow is very limited right now, because I can't get a job and soon I won't be able to get a job once I get my disability from the governemt kicks in. So it's most likely that I probably won't even be able to publish my books, at least not in my real name. I don't know what the almighty father plans for me and why he's still making me write when I won't even be allowed to publish any of my books.
So I guess, I'll take back what I said about commenting, because what's the point of commenting on someone who will probably never become a published writer anyway. I don't know what the almighty father has planned for me, but I honestly feel like he hates me. He doesn't hate me in the regards of being taken care of by the family I've been born into because I'm schizophrenic, but he probably hates me in the regards of what I want to do for a living. I want to become a published writer, but I don't want to sacrifice the government's sympathy, his paycheck if you will. I don't want to disappoint the almighty father, but I have no idea why he put me on this earth. I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Whatever Happened to...
The only person that can stop you in the first place is you. If you stop writing, that's the end. If you keep writing, you leave the door open. Of course, I'm the sort that doesn't believe that a higher being is watching over and has a plan for me, so it's a bit different perhaps. Without getting into any sort of argument though, if that's how you feel now, it's unlikely to change just by me saying what I'm saying now. But I have to ask why God would hate you for writing? I mean don't they say that God loves all His children and wants them to be happy so long as they aren't harming one another? Isn't that the basic gist?
Either way, this is particularly off subject. If you would like to continue discussing this, I would appreciate you making a new thread in OOC. |

RE: Whatever Happened to...
Let's add on a little bit here, to detract from the world-revolves-around-Tech topic that's slowly building up
![]() I know that a few of us here don't just post here, has anyone thought about advertising? At the moment the only way people get here is Google or via word of mouth. |

RE: Whatever Happened to...
I had one idea for a fun OOC topic...
A long time ago, I remember that Jodie made a topic where you took a roleplay from here...and then rewrote it so that it was funny somehow. Maybe we could revive that. |
