The first step
The sound of an old roaring motor started to echo through Station Square. While most vehicles today sounded the same, this one was old enough to be destinguishable from the others. The vehicle in question? A brown motorcycle. While you couldn't tell as it was going past at speed, it looked like as if it was straight out of the factory, because it had been maintainted and restored in such pristine condition for the trip that it was doing. Who was on it? Again, you couldn't tell at speed except for shades of black, gray and white, but at a red traffic light, you'd see easily that the person was wearing some kind of military uniform with a gun on his back. His name? Captain Ruggero.
He had been travelling from an old industrial town known as Waspen and had finally reached one of the major cities of this world, Station Square. He had only been here once or twice before, but now was a time where he could really experience it. Though he had reasons for this trip. He was looking for a man of great intellectual genius, who had built glorious machines and robots. Obviously that person was none other than Dr. Robotnik. For now, he was here and from the looks of the fuel gauge, he could be here a bit longer. "Shoot, nearly out." It was lucky that he was able to get to the nearest gas station in time. After quickly refuelling and paying the attendant, he was on his way again. He had to go through some more work by finding a carpark and parking the motorcycle, setting the alarm systems and setting off to look around Station Square on foot. He took alleyways more than open roads, probably because of the energy rifle on his back, plus he figured that some of Robotnik's henchman would also walk around the alleyways. Hopefully this day would end in a good result for him. |

RE: The first step
Byrain was leaning on the rough cement pillar with his left foot up on the wall and hands in his pockets. Instead of wearing his newly adorned ‘uniform’, he was wearing something a little less conspicuous. After all, it seemed to spell ‘suspicious’….even though he didn’t know how to spell it. But the least of the idea was being un-suspicious was a –good- thing, especially when one is trying to score something valuable. So instead of the ‘uniform’, he wore a white tang-top, a pair of blue jeans, a black leather jacket, and some black tennis shoes. Tennis shoes. Why in the hell did people like tennis shoes so much? Why anyone liked tennis shoes was beyond him.
His jumbled thoughts were soon cut short as he heard the sound of a vehicle pulling up in the empty-of-life car park. Blinking once, he grabbed hold of the glass bottle of alcohol and began to drink some of it down as the brown motor cycle was parked in an empty space. Byrain stood still, and relaxed, not carrying if the man saw him or not as he watched him get off the motor cycle and began to walk. ‘Now –this- is just perfect,yo.’ A twisted smile slowly appeared on his face as he watched the uniformed man walk into the alley directly in front of him Sure, he had a rifle on his back, but it didn’t seem too much like a threat to him. People with guns usually meant that the person was weak without it. After all, never bring a gun to a knife fight, right? As soon as he couldn’t him, Byrain reacted, still holding onto the bottle as he began to run at full speed, but slightly as he went to the left edge of the alley way. Once getting close to the wall, he began to slightly climb the fire-escape up to the top of the building to follow his ‘prey’. |

RE: The first step
Ruggero continued to walk through the alleyways, unaware that somebody was following him. He had thought that Robotnik's goons would be distinguishable because they would be robots or wearing uniform. Unfortunately, they could be wearing casual clothes to look inconspicuous, therefore it could be hard to find and even harder to explain because there's the higher chance that he could be talking to a GUN agent in disguise and he wouldn't want that.
Of course there is the possibility that someone from GUN could have already spotted him, therefore, this entine trip could be in jeopardy, but eh. He knew his motorcycle was safe so that he could rush to it if an escape from GUN or other villains than Robotnik was in order. |

RE: The first step
He got upon the top of the roof quickly, walking stealthy as he stayed crouched, looking done at the man. He reached into his side pocket slowly and grabbed the right end of his kusarigama, unhinging it from the chain as he placed the blade back into his pockets. He didn’t need the kama, after all, killing the guy would be too easy. |

RE: The first step
Ruggero didn't bother looking up. He continued walking, looking left and right as he did so. Where were the people around here? Maybe Station Square wasn't a good place to start after all, but then again, it could, he just needed to look for the right people. But in his case, the right people were the hardest to find and if he went to the wrong person, all hell would break loose and he didn't want that, did he?

RE: The first step
Still crouched Byrain grabbed the left end of the kusarigama and held it firmly in his left hand. With his right, he grabbed the end of the chain with his right and began to aim, carefully; taking his time as he slowly crept closer to the edge of the building. Thank the gods that he was a slow target, or else it would have been MUCH more difficult for him to hit the guy. And it didn’t take long before Byrain took his chance, he shot the end of the chain towards the back of the man’s neck with a quick flick of his wrist and a slight swing in his arm as the chain stayed in a straight vertical line as it headed towards it’s target.

RE: The first step
That was when Ruggero heard it. He heard something coming right at him, so in advance, he side-stepped out of the way of the chain and a second later, pulls out his gun and aims it at the assailant. He looks like some thug with the leather jacket, but the tennis shoes were a bit odd. Of course, what he looked like didn't matter, why he was here and why he was hunting him was the main cocern at this point in time.
"Who are you? Why did you try and attack me before? Are you after my cash? That's a pretty low blow for people like you, don't you think?" |

RE: The first step
“S****, yo…”He mumbled to himself, quietly.
Well, now the position he was at was total crap. He could run away and coil the chain that way, but how the hell was he going to dodge those fires from the gun? There wasn’t many good advantage points in the place for him to hide and take cover. He sighed, taking the left end of his kusarigama and wrapped it around the metal bar; keeping a portion of the chain in his left hand “You ask a lot of questions’, yo…” He replied dully, ignoring the fact that the man was aiming a gun towards him. It didn’t matter much anyway because as soon as the kusarigama was tightly wrapped around the metal bar, and jumped off the building, holding on the chain just right. Though, the next part of the scene would be considered strange. Instead of landing perfectly on his feet in front of the man, his body hit the pavement with a loud THWAK letting the end of the chain. HE would look disoriented, like he didn’t know what was going on, as well as being in pain as he blinked his widened eyes and furrowed his brow. Of course in reality, he wasn’t, and has his body expression probably showed pain, all he had felt was the initial breaking-of-ones-fall. But that was it, as the rest of his entire body felt numb from the toxicants he had been drinking though the entire day. It was too bad he had to set his….umm….thirtieth? He lost count a while ago of just how much alcohol he had just drank anyway. Oh, well, it didn’t matter too much how much he had to drink. What matter was how was the poor sap in front of him was going to take the bait…. |

RE: The first step
So the assailant wouldn't answer his questions and instead, decides to try and attack him again. Wonderful. Except it looks as if it had failed and now he's ended up on the ground. This looked like Ruggero's chance. He kept his gun aimed at the person.
"Stay down. Don't try and get up. Now, you can either answer my questions or just walk away." If he tried to come at him again, he'd just shoot him. If he answered his questions, then he'd ask him to leave. If he just left, then the matter was solved for now. Was this man after his wallet or his life? Maybe he works for some underworld gang that seeks prey in these alleyways. Ruggero would beat them all as such a gang wouldn't stand a chance against him and his energy rifle. Of course, if he worked for somebody like GUN, then why the fancy weaponry. Ruggero though this person would definitely not be working for Robotnik, he just doesn't look the part. He doesn't act like it either. |

RE: The first step
‘S***. He’s not getting any closer.
Byrain seemed to sigh at this point of time as he could be seen trying to reach for something on his belt. Or at least, what should of, because he was simply grabbing air and once he ‘realized’ it, he stopped. That’s right, the bottle was on the top of the building. Damnit. Well, for now, he’d just wait, and not answer the questions. After all, like he was stupid enough to blurt out that he was from the empire. “Now, now,” he started off groggily, holding both his hands up with his elbows on the pavement, “do you –really- except me to answer such questions….yo?” |
