Beware: Spontaneously Combustable Art

I figured that I should at least be semi useful while I adapt to the setup of this site and set up my art gallery.

I rejoined the fandom sometime around early April of last year and began my tenure on deviantArt under my 'allbowdown' handle to match my XBL gamertag. So for the past year and a half I've been churning out my work at a relatively decent pace though I am prone to art block or disinterest in working at times that can slow me down. The selections below are not my whole gallery, just a nice assortment I decided to use.

Anyway.. enough blabber, you came here for art or my money... I'm willing to show off the former, good luck in trying to get the latter. =P

It's been a long time coming but my second pic in the triple hedgehog set is done. Shadow, the ultimate Super Sonic recolor is the focus this time. ^^

I enjoy the interesting variety of characters although so many, many hedgehogs. =P Foxes are so much cooler. [/Bias]

Who are these two? Some rivalry between them?

Lots of cell shading. Which isn't a bad thing. Just an observation. I'm a blending freak. XD

I'll admit I'm partial to hedgehogs but I'm gettin around a bit. I'm not a big fox fan, for that you can choose to slap me but they're just not my preference, just from a design standpoint.

That was a Contest Entry on dA, the theme was music so I themed it to The Beginning is the End is the Beginning to have a unique concept.

Instead of choosing the straightforward music approach to the contest, I chose the symbolic option, since I like embracing challenges. The original song of inspiration for this work was The Beginning is the End is the Beginning as pointed out by the name of the deviation. The meaning under this inspiration was the concept that from life comes death and from death brings life, in a cycle. Two polar opposites can in turn be linked through such an occurrence, whether it be directly or indirectly. The background I guess could resemble and symbolize the inner workings of a clock or a time more celestial. The references to "blasts" in the song illuminated by bursts of light in the picture itself. Insuperable in alone and bound together if not by physical means then in ways not seen by the basic eye.

I prefer Cell shading since it's sharper but I do blend colors, there is some mild gradient work in the latest Shadow pic and the picture in the far left on the top row, but I like blending too so all of my pictures do have soft shading under the Cell blocks which can be noticed in varying degrees on different pics in my gallery.

I plan to do the whole shebang with it. Lining, coloring, shading, and highlights. Certain things may be changed up and the facial expression is insanely simple to edit with Tao so don't be surprised if there's a different expression (tho not tooo different) from what is already in place.

I needed to do somethin different for once so I'm happy I did. ^^
