You voted for perv?! That's just uncool, man.
I'm touched though. ^_^ Wheeee, I have my own birthday topic! ![]() Unfortunately, we weren't here for it. Seeeeeeee, my family has this pretty odd tradition. On a Lowell's 18th birthday, he/she is supposed to climb Mt. Franklin and place a small token of themselves at a certain peak. It's not that huge to be, y'know, something monumental- at least size wise. But it DOES take a day to climb. So anyways, we have this here tradition. And even though I don't know the logistics behind it, we're allowed to take one person up with us. So it's me, my twin Alyssa (AKA 'Semyl'), and the two of us decided to bring Kaz (as my guest) and Aji (as hers). Four of us and one mountain. It was pretty cool, actually. I wish it were a REAL mountain like 19th century Lowells did it- unfortunately this mountain is smaller and actually looked like it had paths cut out on the mountain. Not like, tourist clean kind of path, but you could tell a lotta people go through there. >_>;; Where's the fun in doing this on something that has a path?! Real men should scale a mountain on the wilderness! .....Then again, most men probably don't have an athletic twin sister that is roughly 2/3s their size and yet scaled the entire mountain with twice as much ease. I don't know how the h*ll she did it. When we reached the peak on the first night, Aji somehow 'forgot' to bring a sleeping bag- so he plopped down and shared one with my sister! D< You sly freak. You were planning that since dawn, weren't you?? ^_^ After that, Kaz surprised us all and pulled out something she made before we left. It was called... Mochi? Mocci? Mooci? I dunno, but it was like eating ice cream wrapped in gel. Granted, it was melted, but still good. Y'know, doing this with friends was a lot cooler than I thought it'd be. Even the trip back down had its points, which I'd recall at the moment was it not for me also remembering Aji and Alyssa lagging behind so many times.... I'm onto you, little one. *stares at Aji* ...Dad always said each person got something different out of the tradition. I think I realized what was important to me. ^_^ |
