I know this isn't an absence thread as such, more announcing a return from a long hiatus.

For all you new people I don't know, I'm Metal. I am 27 and live in the UK, I now work as a chef in a bowling alley(no more driving FLTs around, boo!) and apparently look like James May. Odd, I know...

I departed here on bad terms, made a few half-assed reappearances, and hopefully this time I'm back for good. Any ill feelings on my part are long over, and I apologise now if I offended anyone way back when - although I should impress my own feelings were hurt during your little... hostilities, lol.

I don't intend to be negative about it any more, I'm simply back for fun and games and to maybe reinvent that spark I had for pbp RP. Hopefully see y'all around.

Well, in some ways, perhaps it was good to step away and just take a breather. I did that a long time ago (of course, I wasn't gone for half as long as you, but that's not the point). I'm glad you've gotten yourself sorted and I intend for bygones to be bygones and for what happened in the past not to occur again. As per usual, I hold no promises. ;D -SHOT-

But in all seriousness, it is good to see you back, Metal. Even if it's at a "pending" at this moment.

Hehe, thanks for the warm welcome, Yoli ^^ here's hoping I do find some enthusiasm beyond this initial phase, and stay a while.

Tech, Y HALO THAR. Unfortunately, the last I recall my particular Metal Sonic got whacked big time by a rival robot. When I was Robotnik, I did something smart - I created a failsafe should any of my creations go haywire. That was Metal Knuckles - codenamed Irridrix. He was designed with one purpose - to take out Metal Sonic.
So Metallix sort of got hit by something that played havok with nanites within his chassis and he began to develop... emotions. In a fit of rage towards his former master, he WAS en route to the Freedom Fighters to try and pass on some classified information. But then Irridrix intercepted him. They tore up a decent chunk of Station Square before Metallix either got smashed or did a Never Lake and passed out. From that point on, I don't know...
So the chances of him and Tails going head-to-head were slim anyways - Metal was going to join you guys Tongue

and now...? If you can find out where at least my black box is and are able to install it into a Robotnik-free chassis then let's roll! XD

I believe it could be blagged. You're not the only person to ask me about a certain black box, so I'm going to have to consult with the oh-so-open-and-friendly staff ( ;D ) and see how I can possibly go about such a venture. No doubt the black box holding the personality of one of the greatest Metal Sonic's ever would be a valuable prize to whoever could claim it first.

I'm now pondering how the nanites would have affected the black box... read Metallix's past to see what I mean.

Well, it might be awhile before I actually get the chance to actually look for the black box, Tails is still waiting to be approved. Yeah, you should probably notify the staff. I guess I'll just let just about everyone who want to find the black box get a head start I guess. I may have to do something else before I can get Tails ready to look for it (if that will happen) because someone's attacking station square and then reporting on the news what's happening. Still, even with that, it might take awhile before I'm able to get there as well.

so does it mean someone has to repair you before you can post again?

Technically, I guess that would be the case. Or rather, insert the personality chips into something that'll allow Metallix to communicate once more. Hell, so long as it's not a Egg Pawn or an existance similar to A.D.A.M., I'd be reasonably happy. lol.

I imagine such a storyline would create quite the stir... imagine, after this HUUUGE amount of time... you get the idea.
