Ayu
Name: Ayu

Age: 71

Sex: Female

Species: Human

Height: 4'7"

Personality: Ayu's full of herself, to say the least. This is highly evident in her speech, mannerisms, and disposition; She places nothing else above, and rarely ever spends her time on anything she deems unprofitable. Having a general dislike of everyone, especially towards furs, it is a wonder that she has maintained her alliance with Darios as long as she has. Her cruel nature brings her much enjoyment out of her assignments issued by Darios. Ayu's dream is to break down the hold of her lifespan, and would gladly end anyone who stands in her way towards immortality. While she has yet to achieve this status, her black arts have kept her young and strong. Her extremist past and nature has proven valuable while working along side of Darios.

Alignment: Dark

Family: Jenna (Mother, 136), Lucifer (Father, 158)

Transport:
Warp Crest - Treasure and product of the Pheonix clan- Gains one charge every 70 hours, and can only hold a single charge at a time. Initiation of the crest leaves Ayu in a near paralyzed state, and the process usually takes over ten minutes to fully activate- The crest has strict limitations towards its use, and is unable to warp past the boundaries of the continent. Ayu's state after warping is very fragile, and renders her vulnerable for a few minutes. She can only warp to familiar areas, and at most bring along two other persons.

Biography:
Ayu comes from a clan of heretics, and her family used to pride themselves on using their magical arts to prolong youth and life. More of an extremist cult than an actual clan of magic users, these people have long searched for a way to obtain true unlimited life.

Raised with such radical values, Ayu herself was just as much of an extremist as the rest of her family- and was even more determined to contribute to the cause.

While much of her life was spent on frivolities and preserving her beauty, Ayu has lately become more onward in her attempts to unlock the key to defying life and death. While her clan has steadily compromised the laws of nature itself, she seemed to have almost lost interest after reaching 60 years of age. With no sign of age or lost youth, she saw no reason to continue at such a hard pace, and eventually eased off of the subject. She did not regain interest until she met a wandering vigilante by the name Darios.

During a routine trip back to the homeland of the Pheonix clan, Ayu encountered this most curious person while resting her magic. Much to her disliking, this person turned out to be a fox- Ayu's clan had established a deep loathing for their kind, a grudge held from previous decades. Trying not to show disregard towards this complete stranger, she held a short-lived conversation with Darios, until it soon erupted into an argument of who was more powerful in the magical arts. Ayu shot off a blast at Darios in a fitful anger, but the fox had simply froze the attack; Only a chunk of ice came hurtling towards the ground. Slightly panicked, and a little confused, Ayu had, for once, stepped down and kept to herself. Her sixth sense was tingling intensely, and she could not believe the surge that this guy had radiated. Darios shrugged this off and departed.

Wanting to see no more of this adversary, Ayu too was about to press onwards toward home when she spotted a shining crescent-shaped token lying on the ground. Uneasily convincing herself to do so, Ayu trailed Darios throughout the marshes around her village. With little luck in finding the fox, and an empty stomach to boot, Ayu resigned and arrived home. Wanting to report to the elder her progress (or lack of) in their mission, Ayu stumbled upon the council in deep discussion of a traveler that had arrived hours ago. From what she picked up, this individual single-handedly took out 5 of the clans most powerful guardians of the village. Though he seemed to want nothing other than to partake in the clan's folklore, Ayu had a pretty good idea who this guy was; She wasn't surprised at all to come upon Darios resting in one of the huts surrounding what was an ersatz town hall.

Starting to dislike this hassle of an intruder more and more, Ayu worked up the courage to ask him why he was even here. After a few minutes of avoiding the question, Darios revealed he was on a quest to obtaining ultimate power- Something even the elders of the village wouldn't attempt. Life and death was one thing. What Darios sought was just plain dangerous.

Realizing that this is one odd-ball character she had here, Ayu searched her pockets to return the token to Darios, in hopes of getting him to leave. When she wasn't able to produce it, Darios smirked, and flashed it with one hand. The token had somehow wound up in his possession- puzzling Ayu even more.

In truth, Darios had asked the entity within the token to delve inside Ayu's mind to discover what kind of a person she was; He had dropped it on purpose. Sensing the she possessed abilities and traits that would prove useful to Darios' campaign, the token returned to him immediately.

The elders too had grown to dislike Darios, and were quite relieved to be rid of the little menace. Ayu, however, had pondered his goal. It seemed his desire fit right into that of the clan- Ultimate power and ultimate lifespan. She had come to the thought that the elders lacked intuition to investigate this person's methods, and Ayu thought of the power and fame she would surely receive if she were to assist this person. He had not been gone but a few minutes when Ayu tracked him down again.

Splitting off from the advice of her elders, and choosing to join Darios in his charades, Ayu had soon grown to and developed a general hatred for society itself. Taking a leaf out of Darios' book, she decided quickly that anyone in the way of her mission was automatically an enemy.

Satisfied that he now had yet another pawn in his legion, Darios hastily augmented Ayu into the Legion's endeavors. She now serves him to the best of her abilities, and stands out from the majority of the group- She willingly does anything Darios commands.

Moves:
Revert/Shift- Ayu dispels the magic that binds youth to her body, and takes shape of her old, natural self. Highly useful as a disguise, though she loses some of her swiftness in this form. She can also shift back to her younger person.

Elemental Abilities:
Torrent- Target is quickly rushed with a surge of water that can reach up to 92 MPH. Highly pressurized, and small homing capabilities. (Arc rate of 30* per 10 feet.) Drains quite a bit from her, and the energy forms neck level when being cast- The surge can easily be ducked if the enemy is within 10 feet of her, before the arc sets in.

Cascade- Sends crushing blows of cascades launching down on the target. Ayu cannot move or perform any other action when using this, and must hold concentration for it not to back fire.

Mist- Creates a veil around the area that heavily limits visibility. Ayu has the ability to see through the mist more easily than others, but Mist is disabled when she is struck.

Combat Style: Ayu, being as magically developed as she is, is seldom seen on the front lines of a battle. She uses her long range magic attacks to her advantage, and prefers to let stronger, more offensive characters take the hits. As cocky as she might be, Ayu knows when she is beat, and won't hesitate to break for it, leaving her comrades behind.

Skills:
Advanced aqua elemental powers.
So-so methods of disguise.
Excellent elemental interception sense- Can 'feel' surges of others' abilities.

Strengths: Can sense usage of other magical abilities, and pin point the direction and relative position of the castor. Is able to traverse water environments without set backs of water weight, pressure, and resistance.

Weaknesses: Is below par on physical strength. Dread of aging can easily be used against her, and her stubbornness heavily compromises Darios' leadership. Having her on the team is valuable, yet a pain. Her stuffiness is even more troubling- Reasoning plays a small role in her life.
