Simple straight tail, a little more than arm's length, red with a wide black ring around the center, a natural bilby trait. His lengthy red ears droop forward in front of his head, but aren't long enough to cover his vision since they do go up at an incline above his head for about half their length. His ears aren't like his father's stiff bilby ears due to a random genetic defect from his rabbit blood. Long but tightly muscular legs. Very thin arms and upper body that lead one to believe his legs would be about the same.

Dark beige slightly baggy pants with pockets on the sides in which he keeps his hands, rarely taking them out for anything beyond simple tasks such as opening doors. His pants are held at his waist by a black leather belt with a bronze rectangular buckle. Also recently started wearing metal kneepads with black straps. Explanation for addition of kneepads is below.

PERSONALITY:

Often viewed as a loner because of his slouched posture and bored expression. In truth he would repay any kindness shown towards him but doesn't feel the need to go out of his way to earn it himself. There are a few people he will often talk to or hang out with for fun, but he never seems to get especially close to any of them and even sometimes has trouble remembering their names, due to his forgetfulness. He doesn't forget too much too often, or very important things, but often a name or a certain time will be lost to him if he isn't given a reminder for a while.

Believes in basic morales and will get involved if he sees other kids breaking any school rule, which has generally given him a bad reputation with the others despite the fact that he isn't especially liked or disliked by the teachers for it. If he sees people getting bullied or picked on he gets especially upset and sometimes even resorts to violence if he is prodded in such a situation, though he's usually quick to apologize and take the blame after he gets a chance to cool off. He was never overly bullied himself in the past, he simply has always hated seeing weaker people suffer like that, since it's against his accepted moral code.

His favourite class in school is physical education though is far from the best in his class and hasn't joined any school teams. If he did try out for the track team he would probably be their star athlete. His least favourite classes are the sciences such as biology and chemistry.

His favourite basic food is chicken, but his favourite meal of all chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat. Often teased by family and his few friends for his simple tastes. His least favourite foods are anything spicy. He also enjoys all fruits but likes few vegetables.

His favourite colour is purple. His least favourite colour is green.

Unlike most teenagers he doesn't pay much attention to television or other media. Usually the other kids are amazed by his complete lack of knowledge on a famous person or movie. His interests usually include just walking around by himself and thinking. The reason he thinks is because he doesn't yet know what he's going to do after high school and it often worries him. He just turned fifteen and will be graduating this year. He has most toyed around with idea of trying to get in to law enforcement of some kind but doesn't feel like it fits. He still trains with his father as a carpenter some times and can help out with simple tasks at the shop.

Has always respected Sonic for his lifestyle for two reasons. One is that it is upholding with Billy's own ideas of justice and another is that it proves Sonic already has his goal and purpose in life, which Billy feels he lacks. However, this is simple respect for a well known hero and Billy doesn't spend any amount of time actually thinking about Sonic, just whenever he sees a reminder of the hero or when some disaster that Sonic helps with occurs.

HISTORY:

Billy is a simple teenager for the most part. He lives with his parents and goes to high school like most kids, though he is graduating this year. In school he doesn't really excel in any classes but manages to get by. His father James is a carpenter in his own shop while his mother runs the business end of the family store. Billy has attempted to learn his father's work a few times in his life but never stuck with it. His carpentry skills remain amateur. The family is close and his parents do sometimes worry about their son's loner personality, which he developed at around age eleven, but he is still open with them and they are thankful that he isn't going through anything too hard, just normal teenage life.

Because his parents sometimes work late Billy often ended up staying with his grandfather after school from a very early age because the man, Seth Walker, lives only a few blocks away from their home. Seth owns and lives in his own dojo where he teaches basic martial arts to youngsters who wish to learn self defence. Sometimes Billy joined in while waiting to go home but quickly outgrew his grandfather's usual class, both in age and skill, since he got repeated practice. Of course, these were just the basics so he wasn't a real martial artist in any way. He simply had nothing left to learn from the simple course.

At age thirteen during a stay at the dojo Billy got bored and started looking around his grandpa's old books and trinkets. Eventually he came across a book about one of the original forms of martial arts called Shaolin, which had several different styles that an individual could choose from to master. He got curious and started practicing on his own while his grandfather was busy.

However, he failed miserably at actually teaching himself anything. His naturally weak upper body was useless for most styles and his low endurance caused him some injuries when the foolish youth attempted the Iron Body style of high defence, though not as much as when he tried the Iron Head style on his resultantly damaged soft skull. Luckily Billy didn't attempt anything too serious in his foolishness and wasn't injured in any permanent way.

Right before he was about to give up after about two months of frequent visits, solo training, and recovery sessions he finally found something he was able to do, if not impressively. The book's last described style was called Iron Leg and was restricted to using nothing but the legs and feet for both offense and defence. Because of his naturally strong bilby legs and weak bilby upper body this was actually a perfect match.

Billy was still a kid, though, and after finding a style he liked he rarely spent any time actually practicing. Over the next few years he would develop a greater interest, especially if he happened to be bullied on a particular day, for example, he would run to the dojo and start practicing to blow off steam.

Now at age 15, Billy still practices his martial arts but it's not a scheduled or common event, mainly due to his lack of a goal in life. His grandfather has done some training with him on occasion but nothing special. He has used the style several times, such as when he loses his temper at an injustice of some kind. Though he can beat any untrained fighter around his age or build at one on one, the school kids did gang up on him a few times, just because he knew martial arts and was a rule enforcer, and he usually ended up being on the losing end of the battles, especially as the numbers increased. Still, his naturally strong legs make the style a bit more powerful than it would be for others at his skill level. The beatings don't really bother him since he accepts that as long as they attack him they're probably leaving someone who can't defend themselves alone and that's fine with him. Billy won't fight meaningless battles so he usually ends up using his skills to run and evade whenever he can.

One night while wandering around Radical City Billy came across a lady getting mugged and managed to rescue her. After making sure she was safe he chased the guy instead of letting him go, which would have been the smart thing to do, because he was feeling excited from helping someone at the time. Because the guy got a head start he managed to get to a nearby alley before Billy's speed allowed him to catch up. Unfortunately Billy was led to some of the mugger's fellow street gang members. He always holds back against kids his age so for the first time he actually fought as hard as he could against an opponent when the gang attempted to show him not to mess with them. Billy was able to fight very well and defeat several of them but when a a failed leg guard maneuver got him bashed in the knee he was stunned and severely beaten by the remaining members until the police arrived. He was heavily scolded by his parents for his overconfidence afterwards, but also praised for his initial attempts at helping the woman.

After that event he still had mixed feelings about his future since he loved helping but felt foolish for going in over his head and getting plenty of injuries. Billy still hasn't realized that he could actually be a great fighter if he put in the many years worth of training. For now he continues to walk around town aimlessly most days, pondering whether or not he might do with his life. Recently he has accepted that no matter what he does he'll never lose these instincts to protect others. The addition to protective kneepads after the event are a good indication of his acceptance of that fact. As a result of this realization, Billy may have just entered a new, more directed phase in his young life. Graduation is just around the corner.

Skills

Shaolin Iron Leg Style ( Combat Skill - Intermediate )

Developed by humans for humans, but Billy's body is so naturally adept to this fighting style that his learning of the techniques was at an exponentially faster speed than his slacking would lead one to believe.

Basic Carpentry and Repair (Beginner)

Learned from his dad, Billy can get by if something needs a simple fix but his weak arms often make it a hassle for him.

Auto-Alert (Intermediate)

Billy does have a useful talent. Because he often spends time alone thinking, especially while walking around, Billy can maintain an alert state to keep aware of his surroundings during a fight and not lose focus, even if an unexpected event might occur such as a nearby explosion or sudden enemy reinforcements. As a result he is quite good at the evasive side of his style, able to simply avoid most attacks instead of blocking them unless the attacks are of skill, speed or number that he couldn't reasonably cope with. If his concentration talent were trained it would probably make him a better martial artist, but he doesn't really care about that enough to attempt any special training, nor has he even really thought about it.

Enhanced Bilby Abilities (Advanced)

One thing Billy has trained a bit at is his jumping. If he takes a moment to crouch and tighten his leg muscles he can "power jump" very high. He can almost reach the roof of a three story building using this method.

When he needs to move quickly he can cross great distances with long, jump-like strides. This is the natural form of bilby movement and he can change direction almost instantly whenever he touches the ground. This escape technique was put to use while avoiding people who think it's fun to fight with a kid teaching himself martial arts.

Billy's auto-alert has also given him a lot of time relying on all of his naturally heightened senses, most importantly his hearing. While they aren't necessarily stronger than the next bilby's, Billy is more in-tune with them and can usually react quickly from sensory input.

MOVES:

Billy's four favourite techniques from his growing arsenal:

Bilby Kick: (one hit, medium power) Billy's signature style of kicking made possible because of his species. The bilby kick is simply a method of altering a normal kick to maike use of Billy's legs being different than a human's. While he can always still kick like a human, this method is more potent per hit. Billy bends his leg and lines up the sole of his foot with the target before releasing his leg as if he were jumping with it, causing him to bash into the target with his impressive speed and strength combined. This technique requires and extra moment to set up than a normal kick does, which means opponents have one more moment to both see it and to get out of its way.

Leg Hammer: (one hit, low-medium power) Either forward or backward and in many different situations, Billy can quickly throw one leg in to a powerful vertical sweep. His best surprise attack. The strength is amplified if he does it while airborne, since he can throw his whole body in to a vertical spin with one leg extended. this also means that the stronger the execution is the slower and therefore easier to evade the technique is.

Rising Dragon: (one hit, medium power) A technique usually used at a range meant to seem too far away to land a blow. In a perfect execution Billy stands at the very edge of his reach and then jumps straight up. Half-way to the altitude of his target's head Billy's right leg will swing upwards in a wide arc, swinging his entire body from his neck and stretching his reach so that his toes just manage to get under the target's chin and land a forceful rising strike. The defining characteristic of this technique is the acion of swinging one's entire body in mid-air. This move is capable of knocking a target off their feet and into a vulnerable position, but the execution puts a lot of strain on the body and not just the legs. Because of that Billy can't use this technique much without tiring himself out and lowering his agility through muscle fatigue.

Leg Whirlwind: (one hit, low-medium power) Billy makes a large arching kick at the opponent while spinning as he jumps at them. The first kick, while it can connect, is usually just a feint designed to trap an enemy by making them dodge it. From that point his kicking foot will land and act as his pivot while his other foot will continue the sweeping motion, coming fast and hard into the target's escape zone. This attack puts Billy momentarily vulnerable while both feet are off the ground, but it relies on the speed of its execution and the wide swing area of his legs to keep opponents from utilizing that weakness to its fullest. If his hands are out of their pockets Billy can modify this move with a handstand.

STRENGTHS:

Family support can usually get him through rough times.

Natural strength plus training has given Billy very powerful legs. As a result he is very adept at both running and jumping, more so than usual.

Billy can stay calm during a crisis and keep focus.

Billy usually fights with great confidence because he only fights when standing up for what he believes to be right.

Very loose and agile, making him good at evading dangers.

Auto-alert is enhanced by Billy's naturally high reaction speed, which uses the speed of the sense-to-brain-to-muscle impulse and is usually fueled by latent natural instincts to avoid danger. His ability to react almost instantly to sensory input is a gift he's had from birth which he isn't even aware of being special.

WEAKNESSES:

Not easy for him to make friends due to poor communication skills.

Can usually be beaten up if simply attacked since he has no reason to fight with conviction. If the cause to fight isn't appealing to him but he's forced in to conflict without the chance to escape regardless of that, he simply can't find the will to fight his best. The sign of whether Billy is actually accepting of a fight is his hands. If he fights out of requirement they remain in his pockets, as they usually are, since he doesn't technically need them even for blocking. If he takes his hands out it means that he will fight his very best as he will use them for enhanced balance and advanced techniques, such as grapples or handstands.

Weak upper body can be taken advantage of.

Not always trusting of others.

Billy will always run in for a good cause, even if it's too much for him to handle.

If fighting for any reason other than for some sense of justice or if there are others already fighting for that justice then Billy's confidence in himself takes a serious nosedive.

Billy relies very heavily on his senses and can be even more disadvantaged than most if they are impeded by loud noises, darkness, or the like as he will also lose confidence at a high degree and possibly even give up right there unless he has some sense of justice about the situation strong enough to carry him through. If suddenly under an attack or surprise that he didn't sense coming he can be put more off-balance than most level-headed fighters as he isn't used to it.

Even if he defends an attack with his legs it will simultaneously weaken his defensive and offensive capabilities, making him be forced to dodge as much as possible if he wants to fight at full strength. This limits his fighting options as he cannot afford to block an attack for a chance to get in a hit of his own as often as a more well-rounded fighter could. The high durability of his legs is his saving grace in this area, but pain will still affect his performance, especially because of his next listed weakness.

Harbours a suppressed fear of pain caused by his more traumatic past beatings. As a result his dodging in battle tends to be more about running away from attacks then actually evading them, which means he doesn't always notice when a dodge opens up a chance for him to counter-attack because he's more worried about avoiding the next attack his enemies might throw at him then launching one of his own.

SITUATION AT POINT OF INTRODUCTION INTO AFTERMATH'S STORYLINE

Billy has graduated from high school just a few days ago. Still only fifteen it's perfectly acceptable that he still lives with his parents, but inside he can't shake the feeling that he should be doing something with his free time beyond helping out at the shop and training his Iron leg fighting style. And so his personal account begins in Radical City, during a common early morning walk full of personal thought.
