A Slice of Life
(Three Day Rule) Decoe slowly went back down to sitting, turning back towards the fence with one leg completely straight out while his other leg was bent. He placed his left elbow on his knee and placed his right hand on the ground, his back resting up against the wall. The cat that was beside him on the window ceil jumped off and landed near him, gazing with its yellow slit eyes, blinking as though he was waiting for something. Decoe could only stare in bewilderment as to what it was. It sure seemed to like him for some strange reason. He would of thought it would of hung around someone human….unless it thought that he was. The thought seemed to make him depressed as his expression saddened. If only he was. |

RE: A Slice of Life
[Blitz, Rose. If you would like to have your characters interact for the time being, go for it. I would post as Amy but with Lynx now gone, I'ma waiting on Tifa. I will have to talk with him whenever he gets a solid connection again, but I don't want to leave you two stuck anymore. I know it's been ages.]

RE: A Slice of Life
[Well, I'm bored out of my skull, so I might as well do something, however pointless.]
Shadow tore his attention away from the conversation upstairs to whirl in place and stare in the direction of the meek voice that, he thought, had just adressed him. However, whoever had spoken was nowhere to be seen. Stealthily crossing the room on the soundless buffer provided by his Air Shoes, Shadow returned to the window and, trying to keep as low a profile as possible, looked out the window to dicern who had called him. It took him a moment to note the person slouched against the wall below. He was the only person around, but it certainly didn't look like he'd called to him. He quickly remembered his original reason for being there and cursed his stupidity, devoting his attention to a meek call that could have just as easily been directed at someone out on the street when he should be paying attention to what was going on upstairs. He quickly and quietly moved back to his position beside the staircase, hoping he hadn't missed anything important and hoping even more that they weren't about to come downstairs while he was unawares. RE: A Slice of Life
[Alright, guys. Here's the plan. Since Lynx and I have held up this topic for so long (and I apologize for the incredibly long wait), we'll be doing a short time skip. I will talk to Lynx and he and I will summarize quickly anything that Shadow or Decoe would have heard in our next posts followed probably by Amy's departure. Do as you wish from there. =B]

RE: A Slice of Life
[Taking off from Tifa's last post in "Life as Normal?".]
'Another world!' I scrunched my nose. Part of me remained sorely disappointed that Tifa hadn't given thought to tell me about all this in the first place. The other two was divided between understanding her reasoning and wanting to run another rampage through her home. The latter I suppressed. After all, at the very least, she had agreed to explain herself. "Why are you here then?" |

RE: A Slice of Life
Tifa gave a small sigh and glanced away for a moment, "It was an accident. Planetary travel was nothing new on my world but it was not done using big things like spaceships...we used magical portals that connected the planets of my homeland. There was an attack and...I don't understand how it happened but I was sent to Martin's world instead of my true destination. I was standed there for weeks but it did allow me to find M and nurse him back to health."
Tifa paused, giving the fox a small smile. M returned it, for the first time since Amy arrived looking comfortable and less gittery. "Then a few weeks after I arrrived the people of my world appeared to try and rescue me. Another portal appeared but it was unstable and we ended up here. That was two years ago..." Tifa paused, giving another sigh and looking back at Amy. "Since then I've not seen any sign or trace of my world. The portals we used were based on space magic...but for all I know the distorted portals sent us across time as well. It's doubtful I'll ever see my home again but it took me a long time to realise that. After I did I tried to fit in, tried to build a new life for myself. I knew that should my true identity and abilities come to light that I would be in trouble, magic does not seem to be very potent on this world." She laced her hands together and looked down at them. "You have every right to be angry at my Amy. You've been a good friend to me since we met and I'm sorry I had to lie to you. I'm not proud of it." |

RE: A Slice of Life
( OOC: I'm guessing the orders Decoe/Bocoe, Shadow, Amy Rose, and Tifa Mysteria. So, with that I say skip me, there's nothing much I can do.)

RE: A Slice of Life
I looked down at my hands and flexed my fingers slowly. In. Out. In. Out. I collected my thoughts under the brow of pattering footsteps, rumbling motors, and distorted voices outside. I'm still not sure how long it took me to finally raise my head. I glanced at Martin first with his shallow but genuine smile. Then to Tifa with her gaze fixed on interwoven hands.
"I still don't understand why you'd keep it such a secret. Do you honestly think I would have told anyone? Am I really that much of a blabber mouth? Or did you think I wouldn't believe you and I'd freak out? Which is it?" |

RE: A Slice of Life
For a moment Tifa didn't respond and simply sat there, seemingly pondering for a moment. She looked up finally, her gaze fixing loosely on the clearly annoyed hedgehog sitting opposite her.
"I've tried to leave my old life behind me. I know there is no way of getting home from where I am now. I have no ability to tell where or even when I am in comparison to my world. I tried to make a new life and start over...I knew that if word of my old life or the things I can do got out there would be trouble. It isn't that I don't trust you, it's simply how I've been living. Please Amy, I didn't mean to decieve you...I was just afraid." |
