Internet Issues
Hey guys~

It turns out that the internet here at college has been having issues due to someone having a router. Basically, it screws up the IP information and I end up without it for hours due to a "duplicate IP".

Now, I've been leaving my computer on when I can, so it doesn't disconnect and render my internet useless, but the fact is that leaving it on for long time constraints will just put it to ruin. If you can't get a hold of me, this is probably the reason why though.

So, just a heads up.

~ Jodie

RE: Internet Issues
FYI, as a network tech the best way to resolve that, through its only temporary is to go to you Network Connections in Control Panel, right click your connection and 'disable' and then 'enable' the connection again. This forces your PC to go get another IP address, however it will be hit or miss wether you get a new address or not... much of it also has to do with the settings the college has.

You better believe some network tech likely is going to want to strangle who ever hooked the router up without asking cause I know I would XD.

RE: Internet Issues
Why is it that colleges make everything a pain with the internet???

You know how hard I had to work to get past the barriers so I could play FFXI there whenever I visit with Aji?!?!?!

And I'm not even enrolled there yet!!!!
