The Curse of Life
[Btw - First section is just a recap of what happened since the time skip]

Saria couldn't help but wonder if her life was some play thing by some divine being. She had survived that which no one else did. Her ship crashed into ruins and its engine exploding in a massive glory claiming the life of its entire crew, except her. She had ordered the abandon ship and while escaping the ship, the engine went critical and its explosion took out escape pods and everyone else as the order came too late. She was blessed with only being blown into the sea. She barely survived, her armor totaled beyond her repair and her conciseness barely enact upon the landing.

She drifted the ocean carried her for what seemed to be forever before she hit the hot sands of South Island. Her body crippled and exhaustion coming to claim her pitiful life. She drifted in to what she thought would be death's embrace. She could not be more mistaken.

She awoke and found herself being taken care of by the local people of the island, a small fishing community. She couldn't help but give a small laugh went she found out. She, who attempted to take over this world for her Lord Sarath, was now being taken care of by the very people that had planned to enslave. She knew they would never know who she was, she rarely showed her face to anyone even during the invasion.

She was missing her armor, her weapon, and most of her clothing. She decided to play passive as she had before she had met Sarath. She needed to get back to Lord Sarath as soon as possible, but at the same time not draw attention to herself. She couldn't just use her magic and force her way back, even know it was within her power. The village had no one except fishermen and sailors, hardly a threat to her level of combat even without a weapon. She personally also rewarded people who help. She was treated well, so she had no intention of giving any type of mis-treatment back.

She instead decided to make the best of the situation. It was not hard to play as if had no memory, as she had none of this world in the first place. She spent the few months in this village, working with the villages to help pay back for the kindness they had extended. She often though...

What if they new I was out to take over this world? Would they have extended the same kindness?

She knew realistically they would not have extended the same kindness but they were all so naive that she could not help but wonder about it. They only knew about the invasion as if it was worlds away from them, yet realistically it was so close to them. They just were so far apart from society that to them, it did not affect them.

Saria eventually earned enough though helping the village that she got a ride back to the main lands, to Station Square. She had a few new things, a few sets of cloths, and a little money earned. The knowledge she obtained was however priceless, she got to hear all sorts of legends about Sonic and Robotnik even a personal account of an event on South Island that involved them. She had read some of the information when Sarath obtained all the information but the first hand knowledge was more helpful.

-----------------

So here she was today, getting off a small fisher boat at the docks of Station Square. The city was one of the few untouched by Sarath's assault. She currently looked like she was what many people had referred to her as a 'country girl'. She had short blue jeans and a wore white t-shirt, her long brown hair being a bit ruff but still complimented her appearance very well. She had only a small bag of things and what appeared to be no weapons. She did not need one, since she still had her magic. She had learned enough at the village to pass herself off as a normal person but now came the difficult part. She would have to met up with Lord Sarath and it would not be easy.

"I'm surprised that its been untouched." she explained as she noticed the lack of destruction.

Saria was pretty sure it was because Sarath wanted to take at least one major city untouched by destruction. He would total everything else and then turning the one remaining city into his city, to symbolize his control. Their is death or their is Sarath's rule. It was simple and to the point. It was something they had done many times before but this was the first time that they failed.

Sarath would, much to his displeasure, gone into hiding. She also could not simply go asking around. This would bring unwanted attention. She was likely going to walk the city first and then figured something out. She had no reason to have to rush back to Sarath's side, she was instead going to gather as much info as possible and then return with enough information to allow Sarath's take over to be a reality. She was effectively 'dead' to Sarath and his army and no one really into her during the invasion.
