Tails' Workshop

RE: Tails' Workshop

Tails felt unsure as to who exactly was the real Sonic, but he didn't consider the real Sonic to just leave with the Tornado without taking him along for the ride. He felt like he was being suckered in by some sort of prank.

He felt used by both of these Sonics, one wanted to use his pocket watch for whatever reason and one had just flown off with his blue prints.

He turned toward the person who he believed was Sonic. He rushed over and hugged him. "I love you Sonic, my big brother. Now, before someone had just walked in, you saying about the pocket watch you needed. What did you need it for again?"

RE: Tails' Workshop
Huu quickly put the chair down as Tails hugged him. What was going on? Why had he changed his mind so quickly? Nevertheless, he decided to play with it for the time being, and hugged him back.

"Aw, I knew you'd pick the real me, little bro. Anyway, I was gonna take another run down to Station Square, and I figured I might as well take it with me just in case."

He knew better than to say he was going to use it to time his runs or anything like that. Why would his employers want it if it was just a stopwatch?

RE: Tails' Workshop

Tails released the hug and held out his hand so he could take the pocket watch. "This a very special watch Sonic, so I want you to bring it back when you're done. If you want, I can just give you the battery and you can buy your own little pocket watch, then you'd see what this thing can do. Because you're my brother and I trust you, I'll tell you something you must keep secret.

Tails took out the CMPT5 battery from the pocket watch. "This battery, not the pocket watch, is the reason the pocket watch can do what it does. This battery is the reason why this watch can locate chaos emeralds. The CED, or the chaos emerald detector is a powerful device, but at the moment it has severe limitations.

Tails tossed the pocket watch on the couch and was ready to give up the battery. He showed the person he believed was Sonic. "This battery is four years old and only has a year left before it stops working. I saw the watch spinning earlier, while I was looking at the watch, which normally means that the watch has found a chaos emerald. However, considering how old this battery is, it can do all sorts of things that might very well ruin your day.

"One moment the watch detects a chaos emerald, but seven times out of ten it might send you in the wrong direction. That's merely because of the batteries' age. It could be spinning and yet a chaos emerald might not even be there. I'm sure it'll still be reliable for whatever you need it for, so you should still take it, but I have these few words I want you to abide by when using this battery...

"The battery is getting ready to retire and since I don't have my blue prints, I can't make another battery."

He held out the battery in the palm of his hand. "Use it wisely.",

RE: Tails' Workshop
After some silence, Sonic grabbed the battery.

"You can count on me, Tails. Thanks a lot. See ya." Who'd have thought? I have to try this thing out.

RE: Tails' Workshop

(I'm just going to assume that you have left the workshop Huu, so yeah. Have fun with the battery.)

Tails was glad that was over and reconnected the wristwatch to the computer, so the download process with the DVD could continue.

He looked at the clock and couldn't believe what time it was. It was nearly two in the morning. He took his shoes off in his bedroom and went to bed and when he woke up he was sure that the DVD would almost be done loading the files of the wrist watch.

Hopefully he would be free tomorrow to figure what he's gonna do with his time while the DVD downloads the files from the wrist watch.

He ate the apple he had and threw it away. He did all of the regular routines before going to bed for the night. He read a little more of the fantasy adventure book before falling asleep from being so tired.

He hoped that both of those Sonics wouldn't show up anytime soon.

RE: Tails' Workshop
Interupting Tails sleep were two events on the nearby Floating Island. The first was a bright pulse of white light, although the likihood of him seeing it was slim. The second was more noticable as the very ground trembled and shook as a large shockwave passed by his workshop and continued on into the Mystic Ruin jungle.

RE: Tails' Workshop

Tails woke up from the shaking. He knew there wasn't any earthquakes that actually happened... unless... Angel Island.

Tails woke up and got his shoes on and checked the download of the watch, it was on 65% and he had to postpone the download. He equipped his wrist watch with CT23 battery and went straight to angel island.

He hoped whatever was happening didn't mean that the master emerald was stolen. That would be a pain for Knuckles.

RE: Tails' Workshop
[Hah, well, this is what I get for failing to keep closer tabs on things, oh well.]

While Tails raced off towards Angel Island, little did he suspect that something was about to happen far closer to home.

The package that Huu delivered was more than just a means to dispense the substance Sonic inhaled. In truth, that was only half of it's purpose. The moment Sonic got gassed, a count-down had initiated. The package, is also a powerful concussion bomb! But unlike your typical Hollywood bomb, this one has no visible timer, or made any sounds. It's timer was set so that Tails would be fast asleep, but fate it would seem, made certain that would not be the case.

About half-an-hour after Tails has departed, the bomb detonates. A massive, supersonic shock wave erupts from Tails' humble abode, obliterating nearly everything on the first floor scattering everything all to hell's half-acres. If Tails, or any other poor soul had been inside the house at the time they likely would have been killed instantly from the concussive force, and even from a distance, they might have been deafen. The basement, however, may yet be intact, but the only way to know for certain would be to inspect the place later.

RE: Tails' Workshop

(last post for the night)

After Tails looked at his house, he was distraught and excruciated. One: There were two Sonics in his workshop. Two: he no longer had a house. Since Sonic wasn't around, assuming either of them were real, he decided to whisper a curse word, or at least something that was close enough.

"This is balogna."

He was so distraught and excruciated and confused about what has happened so far. He wondered where he'd be able to go without a home. The only option he could think of was to find Amy and who knows where she was.

"I have to find Amy. She'll know what to do."
