RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails paused in mid-step and looked Sonic's way. "Nah, not right now Sonic. I'll look once I examine this old pocket watch and see if there might be anything wrong with the Tornado. It'll just take me an hour or so." Tails continued climbing down the steps and closed the trapdoor. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Sonic shrugged and then yawned. 'Why am I even opening this thing now?' he thought vaguely in the back of his mind. After the one of the toughest fights of his life he had to pass resting and run all the way back here. Well, sure, he probably still had enough juice left in him to storm one of Eggman's bases and smash a robotic super-enemy at the end like in the old days, but that didn't mean he was a regenerating test tube baby like Shadow who barely ever felt tired.
He was just an athletic freak of nature who almost never got stopped from being tired. Still, to get back on topic, the reason was likely just because of the big deal the delivery guy had made of it. He would just finish off this distraction and then hit the couch for some Zs. Yeah, that sounded pretty good. (As already stated, Sonic is opening the box) "Don't just sit there and waste your precious time. When you want to do something, do it right away. Do it when you can. It's the only way to live a life without regrets." — Sonic 1 Japanese Tagline. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
*HSSS*
Having just returned to his neutral tanuki form, Huu perked up as he heard that soft noise. Then... silence. Curious, he slipped over to the front door and silently opened it. The nerve-gas package was open, the hedgehog was stiff, and the fox was nowhere in sight. I guess the fox left the room for something and missed the show. Hm... maybe this isn't so bad an outcome after all. Leaving the door open, Huu carefully picked up the immobilized hedgehog from behind and carried him outside to hide him. In the process he would be touching him for long enough to "record" his body. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails looked for a light switch within the tornado room and found it. A long line of lights lit up the room. He knew he would need these lights to inspect the battery. He first set the stuff down on a drawing table and inspected the tornado. He checked the fuel tank. He turned on the safety module on the plane. The rutters didn't start, there was no radio on at the moment. He went through the plane with his wrist watch and checked if all the plane's other features were in shape. Tails turned on the radio just to see if it worked and then turned it off, because there wasn't any songs he liked. Tails then connected his wrist watch to the main computer to see if it would work. CT23: Welcome Tails. Tails replied through the micropohone on the watch. "I'm just making sure you're in tip top shape." CT23: Never better Tails. "Could you double check that everything is working?" (a few minutes later). CT23: Everything is working just fine Tails. Tails booted off the safety module and climbed off the plane and went back to the blue prints and the pocket watch. He was getting ready to take out the watch battery (CMPT5) to get some idea just how he'll have to make the blue prints to create a new battery. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
((Well, since Sonic is paralyzed now, I guess there's no reason not to drop him from the posting order for the time being...))
Huu carefully set Sonic down in the tall grass where he'd remain hidden, then proceeded back to the entrance. At the door, he paused to shapeshift again, this time taking on Sonic's appearance. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails took out the battery from the pocket watch to draw the blue prints of the CMPT5 battery. He drew the battery on the blue prints and placed the battery back inside the pocket watch. He then wrote down the rest of the blue print name... "CMPT5" and put it in a secret compartment inside the Tornado that only Tails knew the code for. He looked at the pocket watch to see what brand it was and he sat in the Tornado thinking things through about how he's going to get a new battery for the pocket watch (namely the chaos emerald detector). |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Perfect.
The trap was set. Huu had hidden Sonic and was now the perfect likeness of him. He reentered the workshop, gently closing the door behind him, and stood in front of the opened package again. Okay, the switch is complete. Now where could that stopwatch be...? |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails started talking to himself on the Tornado about the pocket watch and wondered what he could possibly do to get the battery right. He took out the battery from the pocket watch and observed it for just awhile longer. "In order to make the second CMPT5 exactly like the battery I have right now, I'll have to do it from scratch like I did the first version of the battery. Now, If I remember correctly, I'm going to need to find some copper or possibly bronze to make this work. "After that, sadly, I'm going to have to study the chip design in my computer and make it from scratch. It's a fairly small chip, but it's going to take awhile to configure it so it can detect chaos energy from an emerald. Well, regardless, I'll just see where it goes. Tails put the CMPT5 battery back into the pocket watch. "I guess all that's left now is to see what the delivery man delivered to Sonic." Tails walked to the trapdoor and turned off the lights. He climbed up and closed it on his way out. He turned toward Sonic and waved. "Hi Sonic, what did you get in the mail?" Tails had the pocket watch in his hand and he waited to listen to what Sonic had to say. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Huu glanced at the opened package. He knew Tails would ask that question, and he knew he couldn't tell him the truth. Fortunately he'd planned for that.
"Yeah, funny thing... turns out that package was empty. Someone must've been trying to pull a prank on me." He laughed a bit. "I guess that postman's tearjerker act wasn't all it was cracked up to be, eh Tails?" Stay in character. Don't mention the stopwatch too quickly or he'll get suspicious. Stay in character. |

RE: Tails' Workshop
Tails didn't respond right away and looked at his pocket watch. He wondered about how exactly he was going to be able to form bronze or copper into those small batteries the people make for watches, especially if he'll have to make it hand made. He opened the pocket watch and pretended to look at the time. From the looks of it, it seemed like it was in neutral mode, which was pointed at 12:00 O'Clock. He closed it and responded. "You know, I can't believe I felt sorry for that delivery man. I guess he was such a tease. Well, whoever that little dracula was that sent the package mustn't of been that desperate. It just goes to show you, even little draculas like that can fool even the sleaziest or dumbest delivery man. "Whatever name that delivery man had, it doesn't matter now. Oh man, he was such a douchebag. He was the dumbest guy on the planet. He must've got punk'd. I bet there was some hidden camera watching him and all I have to do is watch it in a week and laugh my shoes off. Maybe drink some milk and let it shoot out of my nose just watching the dimwitted deliveryman get dooped by this guy crazy enough to punk him. "Ah, that was the funniest thing ever. I so hope that delivery man gets fired from his job and never comes back to this house. I think I might even record that show, so I know what exactly the dumb old delivery man said to you. We can watch him every day, and just laugh until we croke." Tails laughed hysterically and he had no idea that he was laughing in front of the guy who originally came to this house as a delivery man. Regardless, he knew that Sonic would join in the laugh. |
