Tails' Workshop

RE: Tails' Workshop
"Well, it will end the same either way right?" the older "brother" responded with confidence. "No matter how much time he's spent preparing we aren't going to let him have his way, and neither will anyone else."

The hedgehog scarfed down his food fairly quickly(He never seemed to do anything slow, after all) and hopped off the sofa again to his red sneaker-clad feet. "Maybe we should go pay Knuckles a visit and see if he's up for some action. That guy might not even know about Robotnik's return yet, stuck up there on the island like that."

Sonic was unaware of Knuckles' presence in Capitol City when he fought the alien invasion commander Sarath, after all. The echidna had been kept busy elsewhere in the city.

Tails smiled. "Sure, we can go there. We haven't seen Knucklehead in awhile."

RE: Tails' Workshop
"Whoa! Since when do you talk like that Tails?" Sonic asked with an exaggerated shock. "Don't tell me I'm a bad influence on you after all."

The hero chuckled at the moment and then stretched his arms behind his head. That fight with Shadow was still taking its toll on him. Leave it to that Faker to tire him out this much.

Tails laughed. "Oh Sonic, you're so full of it. Alright let's go."

RE: Tails' Workshop

(three day absence rule)

Tails yawned and stretched out his arms. "Nah, we don't have to see what Knuckles is doing. He's probably busy right now. Besides, I need to check something."

Tails walked to his computer and saw that the download for the DVD was still going. He took the pocket watch in the room with him and set it down on his dresser.

Tails grabbed a book and read a book while he was in bed. "Hey Sonic, if Knuckles shows up, tell him I'll be taking a little break from my recent adventure from two weeks ago."

RE: Tails' Workshop
Around then, a man in a postal uniform approached the workshop, carrying a package addressed to Sonic the Hedgehog. His name tag read "Jerry Thompson", but that wasn't the name of the person bearing it.

After arriving at the Mystic Ruins, Huu Benjiski had stopped by the local post office, knocked out a mailcarrier, and hid and copied his body. Afterwards he'd slipped into the post office and had his booby-trapped nerve-gas package appropriately postmarked and addressed to make it look like an actual official delivery, complete with a false return address.

Now it was time to put his disguise to the test. Where was that hedgehog?

RE: Tails' Workshop
"Since when is Red ever busy?" Sonic asked with a smirk, but mostly to himself rather than Tails. So the fox needed a break after a small adventure like that huh? Maybe the two years of peace had softened him up. Once upon a time Tails was one of the only two people on Earth actually capable of keeping up with Sonic ion an adventure. Then again... "Relax while we can huh? Sounds like my kind of plan!"

Taking the fox's cue Sonic laid down on the couch again, being careful of his burns. Neither of the two suspected that "while they can" would end up being extremely brief.

RE: Tails' Workshop
Hmm... maybe he's inside.

"Jerry" approached the door and knocked on it firmly with one hand, while keeping the package under the other arm.

"Excuse me, is there a Mr. Sonic the Hedgehog in?"

He then stepped back a few feet; he didn't want to make the delivery too close to the door.

RE: Tails' Workshop
'Eh?'

Sonic opened one eye at the knock and the call of his name. Why on Earth was someone looking for him here? He was well known to not be reliable at staying in ANY place for long. Then again, he had been spotted during the invasion and this was probably the one place most likely to see the hero that was known to the world(The location of Sonic's actual house was his greatest kept secret).

With a yawn the red sneakers hit the floor once more as the hedgehog moved himself to the front door. He was closest and he'd been called. may as well do the answering for the sleeping Tails.

"Somebody call me?" he asked nonchalantly, leaning on the inside of the door frame with his left hand still on the knob of the half-opened threshold.
