Rios looked at Nail for a solid second.

"H-Hey! You really are related to Gail and Ayecaye, aren't you? You aren't missing much from here, by the way. Jylat's a pretty dead-Wait, did you say Jav? You don't mean that crazy guy with the red hair, do you?"

Everything seemed to tumble out at once. Who could blame him though? A lot of it was news to him.

[It's been a few days. I'm going to pass over Laurelle.]

"Yes...yes I am," Nail said, smiling softly. "I'm the eldest child in the family. In fact, I'm so old I have my own kids. Anyway, when did you meet them anyway? Surprised you know so much about them."

He then changed the subject to Jav. "Jav...yes..." He shook his head a little bit, recalling the maniac race to escape Capitol City before it was blown to pieces. "His driving terrifies me...I'll never forget it. He got us out of Capitol City in his car..." He stroked his chin, looking thoughtful. "What did he call his car again? It was J-something...I think he named it after himself but what's Jav short for?" He shook his head. "Anyway...that car felt like it was just pulsing power...I thought it was going to tear itself apart as we got over 200 MPH..."

Riarios nearly lost his balance in his surprise. He recovered quickly though and just stared at Nail a long moment.

"You were there? When Capitol went? What happened back there? Jodie wouldn't tell me and Dromar has been pretty dicey, too. I haven't been able to get details no matter how much I pester him."

Laurelle stands back in stunned silence, mixed with shivers of dread. What is going to be said? More horrific details, more terrifying stories...

She didn't miss that unsteadiness either. It was going to be a long night, making sure nothing was strained. Poor Rios, one thing after another.

Nail looked kind of confused. "I'm afraid I don't know much more than you do at this point Rios. Those aliens attacked...I realized Ayecaye was still in the city...so me, Laurelle, Dan, and Jodie snuck in through a subway tunnel. Some robots attacked us, but they weren't any big deal since there were four of us. Anyway, after that, we found her at her school. Oh, and along the way we met Jav...and then we got out just in the nick of time, thanks to his fast car. That's about it. Surely you already know about how the city was blown to pieces..."

He shook his head. "I don't know why they wouldn't talk to you about any of this. The worst part of it all is that Capitol's gone now, and you already know that."

[Just wanted to pop in and say "Hey, I'm still alive." ...don't really have anything to post at the moment, though. >> I mean.. with Nail and Rios going back and forth, I can't really think of anything to add, and, he wouldn't really want to interrupt, either. So... *shrugs slightly* But yeah. I'm around, and could probably actually jump back in here whenever. And I'll try not to end up delaying things like that again. --;]

Rios furrowed his brows. If there was something that had to be said about it though, he kept his mouth shut. Instead, he looked at Laurelle and then Dan.

"Well, we were actually heading back home since it's getting kind of late. I don't think Essy and Crosis would mind your company seeing as you guys knew each other from before though. They're pretty open to guests."

Talk about the understatement of the year...

It WAS indeed getting late. Nail never realized it with what the whirlwind pace of today had been like. Perhaps he should think of staying in Jylat for the night. Even if he left right now he wouldn't make it back to the Mystic Ruins until after midnight, and the jungle was hard enough to navigate during the day.

So, he turned to Rios and smiled a little. "Sure, I'd love to come. Actually, would you mind if I stayed the night? If not it's okay...I'll go look for an inn or something."
