Saria
[Sorry, it took so long but here is the first offical complete draft of Saria's character. I expect it to have problems... considering I completed it while working and not being able to re-read it completely at this moment, however with a coming battle I feel I need to list it out even if its not complete.

Edit: I forgot an Appearance section for some reason...

Edit2: Oh ya the use of Sarath in Saria's history was asked before I used it, however the specific use of the history was not decided. Sarath if you got an issue with how it happened please tell me now!]

Name: Saria Amanatha
Age: 23
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Height: 5" 2'
Weight: 148 lbs
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Brown

Personality: A bit distant but overall maintains a professional attitude and demeanor. She is very honorable and loyal without a second thought to Sarath. She keeps her personal life and past to herself. She is naturally respectful of everyone due to her own past and uses very kind speech that often does not match her actions. She shows only a bit of excitement when challenged by someone of equal skill in battle.

Appearance: Saria armor is a light blue with off-white color scheme. Her helmet lets her hair flow freely due to its exposed back. Her armor has no real design expect a tirming of white that outlines the armor and bustline area. The armor makes her appearance seem much heavier and more built then she really is. Her boots, geaves, gloves, and other armor parts all follow the color scheme as well, even the shield.

Her undershirt is pure white, most likely silk-like material due to her high ranking nature. She rarely has ever been seen out of armor and therefore not much as known about her dress attrie outside of armor.

History: Saria was a slave into a noble's family as one of the many maids that tend to the Lord's needs. She did not her real parents might have been traded or she might have been, she had no means of finding out. The only joy she had was during the years when she couldn't understand anything, when misery had no definition. Afterwards, it was question less servitude. She was taught how to be a maid as soon as she was able enough to do so around the age of 7. She was trained to just be a simple maid that would tend to the young Lord's son. She was given a basic enough education, enough to do her duties, Basic English and basic math. These however were taught by the other maids who quickly Saria found to not always be correct.

She learned very quickly polite speech and only learned to use kind words, because any other words quickly were felt as signs of deficiency and dies-respect which was quickly handled by whippings. She, like everyone else, learned most of her harsh lesson's of slavery when she was very young. She lucky however was spared from ever suffering long term damage from beatings and whippings she received during her youth.

She was however quick at learning, incredibility in fact. She, unlike most maids, did not just listen to orders but sort to understand why was she given that order. She didn't mention this thinking to anyone; she knew that even other maids were not to be trusted. The maids would tell on each other often to gain favor in the eye of the lord of the house. Saria was lucky, as she tended to the lord son during his lesson's to bring food to the master, which Saria learned from far better then the masters own son. She kept the knowledge to herself as at this point in her life standing out was not a good thing.

She was far from perfect in her keeping these facts hidden, as the Lord's son quickly noticed her learning ability. He took personal advantage of it, by simply ordering her to do his homework. It was a double-edged sword for Saria, the son was now ensuring she was 'around' during his lessons which met she could learn more but now if she screwed up she could easily end up horribly beaten weather it be by lord for doing the master's homework or the lord's son for screwing it up. It wasn't like Saria had any choice or even the concept of choice.

This lasted for over two years worth before anyone started to notice how this, mostly the teacher himself noticed it. He noticed how the lord's son was becoming more and more lax about his lessons and really wasn't paying attention but ironically was getting perfects on his work. He was very bright and was the first to pick up on it that something was a miss. He had a very simple way of finding out as well, during one of his lessons, told of the order authority of the lords to each other. The lords son didn't pay attention to the lesson and therefore didn't notice that the teacher was telling the incorrect order but Saria who was paying attention to every detail but did not know about such things took it in like fact. The homework came around the teacher knew for sure, he wasn't doing the homework and he knew that the only other person was Saria, his maid.

The few days after were horrible days, the teacher of course told the lord and which cause the lord's son to get punished and Saria did not remember to much of the rest, mainly cause when the beatings came she was pretty sure on the second hit she had been knocked out. She had spent over a three days bed bound due to her injuries and when she had recovered enough to move, she was shipped out and had already been sold to someone else.

She had her first time outside of the Lord's manor was different for Saria. She had been outside and knew the world was vast but she had never left the manor grounds since she was born. She was brought to a small home of a scholar and had become the slave for that scholar. He lived alone in his small house of books, books and more books. He was nobility but of a complete different sense then Saria knew about. She found very quickly that she was the only slave their, unlike her old home where she was just one of an entire staff.

It was awkward at first for Saria as she got adjusted to her new owner. He was so carried away in his books that he almost didn't notice her. He always had a horrible habit of losing his books, leaving them somewhere and then being able to find them when he went to the mini-library he had. Saria got quickly use to putting the books back to where they belong in the library, which her new owner never seemed to notice or care. He only noticed anything if a meal wasn't on the table at a specific time or he could not locate a book in the house or library, in which he would question her.

It really wasn't that bad for Saria as her new master didn't require much attention. He needed his meals, the basic house cleaning, book keeping, and laundry. She also was allowed to leave the house once a week to do shopping, which was challenging to Saria who knew about that but had never performed the task herself. She managed fairly well and her knowledge of cooking was extensive cause of her previous master.

The biggest pleasure was being able to read a few book herself. She knew basic English but it wasn't enough to read some of the books the master had as they were far advanced college books but she quickly developed her English skills when she located some lower level books and a dictionary, in a section of the mini-library that obvious the master had never touched in years cause of the dust build up.

She also learned from her master, basic magic. It was just matter of fact really, one day the power of the entire house when down. She couldn't cook the master's requested meal cause of the power being out and he simply said use magic to do it. Saria of course stated she did not know magic; even know she knew he might hit her for not knowing. He seemed more surprised by it then anything else and showed some himself. He made some negative remarks about maybe that was why she was so cheap or similar but afterward Saria made it an objective to learn magic since her master made it out as something she needed to know. She took some time to locate a proper magic book in the mini-library but after a few days of searching during her free time she found one.

She only learned the basic idea and most basic use, which at the moment in time was enough. She learned other spells that would asset her daily tasks and found herself far more useful then before.

She spent over 3 years with this master before one day he did not come home. The day after government officials came to the house to report that he has passed away during a tragic event and all the property was going the person on his will. Saria simply took care of the house for the several days before someone came. He was an old man who came to inspect what had been given to him. He pointed out to her that he was her new master and he would be taking her to his manor.

The new manor was as big as her first master but it lacked people, in fact like her last owner, it seemed only he lived there. He was needed very often attention as he was slow getting around. He often would just talk to her as it seemed to take his mind off his age. She learned a good deal of history from him. He was a former great mage and he simply was enjoying his last few years.

It was however not as peaceful as Saria thought as this mage often had many visitors coming to challenge him for his position, most of which were so weak they didn't even have enough honor to stand in front of him, left alone have a match ageist him. It interrupted much of his small naps and often left him annoyed. It was only a year with him before a power failure hit the house and without an electrician they had no means of repairing it themselves. Saria went ahead and called for once and prepared meal like normal. The old man however was impressed and asked how she could still cook with this and she kindly told him through magic. He seemed very interested at this point at hearing her ability.

It became clear the next day why he was so interested. He had an interesting idea to keep his nap time to himself. He would make it so if they can't beat her; they have no right to brother him. He spent a decent amount of time teaching her basic magical attacks and some advanced moves. He was very impressed at her learning curve which was unmatched. He understood why she was so helpful, it was because her learning was so quick and fast that if she didn't know it. She learned it rather quickly and she practiced it to ensure she had it right. She had very good study habits.

She spent over six months before the old man put it to the test one day. She was simply serving tea to him on the lawn when another young mage wanting to test his power came along. The old man not interested proposed he would allow him to duel him only if he beat his maid. Saria nearly dropped the tea when he proposed that. The young mage of course agreed and Saria did as told. She simply stayed with her basics and only using basics bested the young mage. It was an awkward feeling when it happened. She watched every move of his carefully and to her his moves were sloppy and unrefined. He attempted to go for really powerful spells but Saria simply would hit him with a fast one and that was enough. The old man said that he thought for once that it might have just been interesting watching.

The next day he asked her what she thought of the mage from before. Saria did have opinions but generally she was rarely ever allowed to say them and sometimes when you are allowed you shouldn't anyway. She said how to his the moves were sloppy and unrefined in which the old man replied that she was correct on both accounts. He pointed out that young mages have ideas of using big spells to defeat opponents but he said the real key to magic was the simple use of basic spells and that their was rarely any need for higher level spells as most could be defeated with a nicely placed basic spell or two.

It went like this for over another year but instead of the old man fighting, he simply watched her defeat some of the young mages over and over again. She did lose several times once and awhile, in which she learned from quickly as the old man was very quick to point out her mistakes. His rule was overall pretty strict once he started training her. She was about 17 and finally one day she went to deliver the tea to him and he didn't respond or answer. He never woke up ever again.

She called hospital and they came and attempted to recover him but it was pointless. He had died sometime in the night. His old age had got him. Saria was a bit sad as she in a way enjoyed when the mages came by and she got to fight them. It was a great way to relieve her stress and she enjoys developing her magical skill. She was however put up for auction with other maids and was quickly re-introduced to the harsh life of a slave. She was most expensive slave ever, as her work for her former master made her a prime on the auction. She was picked up by a family of nobles looking to have their son taught by a great mage. They attempted to get many others but they turned them down and hearing that her record from many up and coming mages they decided that she might just do since she knew most of her former master's teachings.

She came into the household as teacher and maid for the young master. This placed her in great displeasure of the maids of that house from the start, which leads to much difficulty when working. The young master however was however younger then her. He was only 10 while she was about 18 now. He was being taught swordsmanship and magic like his family always has. She also gained someone she could call a 'friend' for once and that was his sword instructor, Jin. Jin was a very hard working and skilled man in swords. He wasn't very famous yet but it was very well know he was a good instructor and very personal able.

Saria often attended to the young master's wounds during his training and hence was always on the side attending their lessons. She would be watching and Jin would often talk to her. He wanted to know if the young master was slacking in his regular warm ups and his progress in magic. Her lessons as simple as she thought they where, were very hard for the young master. She quickly noticed that it wasn't very easy for the master to clear his mind to use magic. She had always had that knack since she was born a slave where thinking was taboo. It was also clear that she noticed that like her, Jin watched and listened to her lessons as well.

She found out quickly that some of the nobles thought she was too hard on the young master and found out quickly that the reason she wasn't whipped or brought up on it was cause Jin spoke to them about it. She felt very grateful for Jin's help raising the young master. It was around that time Jin started letting the young master face him instead of just excises. That proved to be far too difficult for the young master. So one day...

"Saria, you spawn with him."

It was once again another time she was forced into something that she felt might not be good for her but she had no choice. She took up a wood sword to train the young master. She had always carefully studied his training and ironically enough she was able to defeat the young master easily. The young master was very surprised and rather jokily about how she was good at everything as he viewed that he must has been thinking wrong to loss like that. After the lesson Jin spoke to Saria about it.

"You better stop. You're learning ability is too good. If they find out about how powerful you really are they will kill you."

He had given her a warning and to her that she really never knew how to take. She had never been threatening by death. She had been threatening by beatings and lashings but never by death. She however was very obedient to a fault, in her training matches she let the young master best her every time since but Jin was not fooled. He noticed that her stance, form, and guards were getting better and sharp every time. He knew she was letting the young master win. Jin took her to the side once again a few months later to speak to her.

"Why do you pay attention and learn. Have you no control?"

That question was wondering what he met by control, the concept of her being able to do something or 'control' something was beyond her. She was a slave and the concept of control was never something she needed to know.

"I don't understand the question sir."

Jin was taken back by her answer and glared at her for a few and then laughed and held his hand to his forehead as he couldn't stop laughing. Saria didn't understand what was funny but she was getting very nervous.

"Of course... you wouldn't know self-control... I guess you had to learn everything as quickly as possible in your line of work huh?"

'Line of work'? Saria didn't understand what he met by that. Jin only walked away laughing, which left Saria worried and a bit on edge. It was the next few days later that changed her life forever. She was about 20 years old now and she found the head slave master awaking her from her slave quarters and taking her in binds, blinded as well else where. No words and no explanation. She found herself clearly outside the estate when they took off the blinds, a large warehouse somewhere. She was their with the slave master and in front of her Jin. He was in full royal attire and handing money to the slave master before he left. Saria was completely confused and didn't understand what was happening. Had she been sold again? Why was no one saying anything? She couldn't serve without knowing who to serve. Jin only drew his sword and looked at with distant eyes.

"Do you know why you are here?"

Saria just shook her head no. She was guessing she was in trouble and speaking generally during punishment was always a bad idea.

"I can't have you becoming any more notable. If your skill keeps developing at the rate its going then you'll be more powerful then even me."

Saria didn't understand what he met 'more powerful', what did she have that the masters did not. Her expression gave away what she was thinking. Jin's face went to an expression of anger mixed with surprise.

"You don't get it!? You're already so powerful that if you wanted you could just frickin walk out and the slave masters wouldn't be able to stop you. When you came to this very house, you're magic was already powerful enough to escape these idiots without breaking a sweat!"

Saria didn't understand what Jin was trying to tell her; for once in her life she could not comprehend anything that Jin was telling her. Jin seemed more annoyed that she didn't understand.

"Do know what the difference between the master and the slave is?"

Saria never thought about it but from the moment she thought about it. She could only think it was something during her birth, some deciding factor that was before she could think or act. Saria answered hesitantly.

"Birth?"

Jin placed his hands on his face as he was surprised she was so smart but never figured out that part.

"At this rate I'm not going to get any satisfaction out of this. Let me tell you. Its NOTHING! ABOSULTELY NOTHING!"

The words didn't set in at first. "Nothing" was their no difference? If there was no difference when why... for that matter why is he telling me.

"Why are you telling me this?"

Jin anger went away and then started to smile as it seemed she said something that pleased him.

"Ya, now you get it. You want to know? It’s because I want to see you're face in complete fear and despair."

Saria was surprised at the words coming from his month it was something she never expected to come out of someone his nature. He went on explaining it.

"Do how many days I wanted to wipe the calm and simple expression off your face when you spawned or when you showed your magic? That look of 'Oh this is simple' that you give off with everything you do and then you started to do it with my own sword style and that was it."

Her mannerism was the way 'they' wanted it to be and yet it was her fault. It's always the slaves fault but was their anyway to correct it? It was confusing, and the confusion was getting to her.

"I attempted to try and buy you off the nobles hence I said high praise for you when they bad mouthed you. I was hoping it would get to the point they would get tired of their toy and sell you but it seems I personally can't handle waiting anymore. I want to see you bleed and scream."

Saria was horrified and she had basically been told she was going to die. She attempted to stand after so long, only to trip backward as he slowly was coming towards her with his sword.

"That’s right, feel the despair and fear. Just keep backing up and backing up till you find the wall and then let me see the terror on your face."

She kept backing up and indeed did hit the wall of the warehouse. She went down the side of it till she hit the corner. Jin just slowly kept his pace as he seemed to have a sick enjoyment out of this.

"Why don't you fight... oh ya because you are a slave? You can't possibility hurt the master."

He said that with a childish voice at the end only to mock her even more. She just couldn't think of raising her hand back. It was like she had a mental block on the very concept of attacking someone above her. She wanted to defend herself but the spell wouldn't come, she just couldn't use it ageist a master. Jin was upon her now with his sword in hand.

"Now for you to bleed."

Saria dived to the side only for Jin's blade to stab right into her leg. She gave a scream that would have likely broken glass. The blood pouring out of her leg as unspeakable pain consumed her. She couldn't see his face clearly anymore and what little attention she had left was busy trying to stop her bleeding, only to have another surge of pain when he yanked out his sword harshly. She screamed again, not as loud as the first but loud. She attempted to try and stop the bleeding with her hands but it was no good, the blood wouldn't stop.

"Was that painful? I've only just started. I will make you pay for every ounce of humiliation you made me feel when you were making yourself look good!"

She was scared, horrified, and in deep pain, she felt so confused and mixed up that she no longer knew what was up or down. The confusion was swirling in her head as one big blur as he stepped over her and the only light in the room was covered. She instinctively reached out suddenly with every bit of her magic in one hand. She couldn't hear anything anymore, her own memory of the event blurry and unclear but the feeling was clear, anger.

She slowly stopped the bleeding as Jin was dead beside her. He had a heart attack of some sort and died but Saria was pretty sure it was her doing. She remembers reaching out for the light with every bit of her magic and guessing how he looked, he had been electrocuted and her hand was the source.

She however was confused and lost, she didn't know where she was and she was a slave that just killed a normal person. She didn't know what to do. She was so use to being ordered around, that she was sort of lost at the moment of what to do. She was tired and for once everything seemed peacefully silent, so peaceful for once. She feels asleep from pain and exhaustion.

She awoke and found herself unmoved with Jin still dead beside her. She knew she couldn't stay, someone would fine her and there would be trouble. She found however walking was a bit too difficult for her at the moment, her leg injury just too great to be moving about. She was hungry and thirsty as well. She slowly made her way, crawling and walking depending how long she could stand without falling. She made it towards the door and opened slowly letting the light from outside in as she looked outside.

She found herself on a construction site, one that seemed to be rather abandoned based on lack of machines and the few their looked untouched in a long time. She made her way much across the site to what appeared to be resting quarters or first aid shelter that had been setup. The dust and lack of upkeep made it clear that it had not been maintained in a long time. She made it to one of the beds before her will left her again and she passed out.

She woke up ahead in the dead of night, unable to move and in drastic need of water. She felt so weak and faint now. She was like that for an hour before she mustered up enough strength to straggle along like she did before. She managed to leave the site and enter the forest. She got to hear noises of the wild she had never heard before, of creatures she never knew existed cause of her limited education. She managed to find a lake and without a care, drank and drank till she passed out again on the lakeside.

She awoke still on the lakeside, her thrust was still there but it wasn't as harsh as before. Saria drank a bit more from the lake before heading back, slowly and carefully. Her hunger pains were gone; because she hadn't eaten in so long her body was becoming ill instead of giving her hunger pains. She went back to the site and noticed that someone else was their. She carefully came to the site and found a rhino, a mercenary of sorts based on his sword and shield. He had food, little as it was. She knew she needed food and so she appeared before the mercenary clear as day and walked towards him.

She stood by a small fire for a long while after eating the food; she didn't remember too clearly what she did to the mercenary, maybe cause of the hunger. She was still hungry but at least she wasn't in pain for the moment. She heard rain and thunder smashing across the side of the building. She still had no objective, no reason, nothing. She felt so helpless and without direction. She was live but without reason or goals she just sat looking at the fire with no intentions.

"Well this is interesting."

She looked up to see the fox that would change everything, he came in during the storm and she hadn't heard him over storm. He had just walked by the dead body, carefully treading past an expanding pool of blood from the mercenary’s body. She could see his face or clothing, only the large heavy cloak; however even in a cloak it didn't fool Saria. The material it was made from, the design and the careful manner in which he avoided the pool of blood. Saria spoke in a simple one word answer.

"Nobleman?"

The fox moved a bit as clearly he didn't expect for her to make the guess on first attempt, since it was the first meeting. He had a profound interest in his voice.

"Oh, not just any normal nobleman."

She wasn't sure about if he was after her or what. She did know however he was clearly nobility. He said he wasn't any normal nobility, and then she remembered about how the nobles all serve the royalty, a king.

"Royalty."

He didn't say anything but she could swear if she could see his face he might have been smirking. She could sense it, like many before him, intentions for her as many had before him. She had grown in-different to it. He did seem at a bit of a lose to start the conversation, most likely cause he had been expecting the mercenary.

"What would you say if I have proposition for you?"

You? As in me?

The scary thought crossed her mind; did he just refer to her in the context of a person? She had heard the term applied to her but generally always as a punishment or being yelled at and similar. This was the first time she heard it used in a conversation, and in addition it was a request for her opinion on the matter too. She looked up at the fox for awhile as if attempting to understand the question.

"I will listen."

That reply was the only one that came to mind, the one she did when the slave master would yell at them for doing something wrong. She even replied in the same tone too, not aggressive or angry but submissive. The fox move left a bit as if he too began to suspect something about her now based on her reply. He however paid it no mind in the end as he went on.

"Are you aware of Duke Folris?"

She instinctively recalled all the lessons she sat in on with her previous master and his lessons, especially the one about the noble houses and the order. She recalled it was taught to her intentionally wrong to catch her in the act but she had learned the correct order through the different events. She started to list everything she knew, like a text box answer...

"Duke Folris, currently in charge of all the royal ground forces as per his position as Grand Knights Order. He held the position for the current longest for over 23 years straight. He is known to be closest friends with the king himself. He was a general during the human furry war, ten years prior. He led the Battle of..."

"ENOUGH!"

The fox clearly got the hint that Saria understood who Duke Folris was. He seemed a bit angered unexpectedly by Saria's reading off of a textbox answer. She heard him take a breath.

"I deeply sorry!"

She said that instinctive as well, as per all her years as a slave. If someone was made at you, it was beg for forgiveness or be whipped. It seemed her response instinctively brought the fox from out of his surprise and into a realization, which he didn't voice.

"Well to put it simply I want Duke Folris dead."

The concept of what he was requesting did not seem to bother her, and despite knowing all his war records, she didn't seem to think much difficult of it. The fox looked at her for a few moments to see her reaction. She had none; cause to her it didn't register anything anymore. She somehow could seem to 'care' about it. She had already kill Jin and this mercenary. It was so simple that she didn't see how it was a difficult task by far. They both were silent for awhile as Saria was expecting more and the fox was waiting for her reaction, both which were not coming. Saria brought the silence for a moment.

"You are royalty, is that not something you are able to do?"

The fox gave a short laugh. Saria was careful with the way she said the statement, clearly saying that it was within his ability as well.

"I suppose that is true, however I need the Duke killed on the same day as I will be busy killing someone else and unfortunately I don't have the ability to be in two places at once."

Saria could understand that, to terminate two targets in two different places at the same time would require two people. She still didn't understand why he was requesting this of her, as surely royalty had a better way of performing the needed task. The fox however kept speaking, the tone of his voice clearly baiting Saria on what he was about to say.

"In return, I'll grant you any desire."

Any... desire?

She already knew what it was, a place where she didn't have to listen to anyone. A place where she could never be ordered around. She didn't care about anything else, she never wanted to hear another command for the rest of her life. She knew no such place existed, she wasn't going to wish for something impossible. She thought for a moment and then turned to the fox.

"I wish to be your general, to not have to follow anyone orders but yours."

She was sure that the fox had the most surprised look on his face, even though she couldn't see it she was sure he had it on his face. She went on to explain why that was her only desire.

"You plan to change this world? Duke Folris is simply one step in that plan, isn’t it?"

The fox didn't say anything, at this point Saria had no way of being sure if the fox was angry or just surprised. She went on as she stood up for once, letting the fire reveal her dirty clothing and ruins appearance.

"I promise I will kill Duke Folris."

She was given a task, which she was given a choice on. She made her first choice in life, she would kill that man. She remembered that night clearly cause she would rarely ever here that fox's laugh. It was a laugh when he was without a doubt impressed beyond words, pushed to the edge of surprise and insanity. It went rather fast, as she explained her plan and simply requested that the fox give her as a 'good will' token to Duke Folris. It ironically went over better then Saria might have even expected.

She didn't even have to try to be a slave, she had been brought up one her entire life so for three more months was nothing to her at this point. She learned the layout of the house, cleaned, cooked like all the other slaves. She hides all her talent magically and swordplay, got beaten over and over again for similar mistakes like most slaves, never resisting just counting down to the day.

Saria at this point became aware some intentional and some unintentional, that the fox had hired many different people to kill the Duke, most hidden in plan sight. A few odd guards, a rather poor planter, an unneeded royal advisor. She saw most of them clearly and they were all around her. They however were completely unaware of her, no one considered a slave a threat.

That day was a day to remember, as Lord Sarath took charge. Saria took out the closest slave master with her magic, taking his weapons. The chaos had already started as those with intentions to kill all made their attempts. The guards were fighting others who were there for the Duke's head. She however made her way through the maid passages, killing another slave master alone the way and even two guards. She took the guards weapons, which where better suited for fighting. She came to the main lobby where guards were fighting guards, civilians were coming in, most unskilled but coming in numbers for the same reason.

She however looked for the Duke, who was on the second floor with another guard as the attempted to make an escape. Saria however knew where that pathway led and double backed and came from the other direction. She came in time to see his remaining guard impressively fighting off the coming group of brawlers who can go running up the stairs after them. Saria however was face to face with the Duke at this point, who had already had sword drawn knowing it was going to be needed.

"The maids as well, that turd will..."

Saria couldn't explain what bothered her but something about what he said annoyed her. She couldn't at first explain it as she watched the Duke slow come towards with his weapon ready.

"Still to think I will be done in by a lowly maid, he will soon learn his folly."

She simply brought up her weapon into an offensive stance and began to speak for once, for once she didn't want to remain silent. She wanted those words he spoke to end, to cease to exist.

"The folly is all yours Duke Folris. Your mansion is over run, your guards lay slain, and soon in this world you will have no where to run."

She began to step forward as well towards the Duke, increase her stride as she was picking up speed. The Duke remained silent at her words, most likely because the ring of truth she had in them.

"I shall save you time and send you to your grave now."

It was most likely the hardest fighting she had ever had and at the same time the best fight. She had a reason to fight with everything, all her magic, all her swordplay. She had no reason to hold back and had every reason to complete the mission at all cost. The Duke was clearly a dog of war. Her attacks were good but he seemed to be reading her moves in advance, as when she went with magic, he use shield spells and when using swordplay he would simply overpower hers due to raw experience difference. They exchanged blows for almost a whole minute before Saria knew based on everything going on.

I'm losing.

She needed to kill him, quickly as possible. If she delayed other would come soon and she couldn't fight them and fight him at the same time. She noticed that her only strong point over him was magic. He was only defending her magic, it seemed he didn't have anything offensively. His swordplay however was good, which made taking him in swordplay a bad idea.

"For a maid, you fight harder then most soldier that I've trained. I see that turd..."

That word again, she knew what it met and the concept of it being related or even hinted it was connected was just angering. She charged at him to prevent him from finishing the words, coming for a simple horizontal swing. He however took advantage of the moment and swung swift out of the way and then from behind went for a stab right at her mid-section. She leaned back with turning just a bit enough for the blade to meet her front, under bust-line, for the edge to cut a light but straight line under her buntline. She dropped her sword with her right hand and grabbed his blade her right hand, while her left hand extended out grabbing the Duke's head.

It was so quick, as the faint yellow glow from her hand suddenly onto the Duke's head and then electrical shocking right through his eyes, as Saria slammed him into the while using all her magic to electrocute the Duke in anger. He gave a bone chilling scream as Saria kept shocking him till after almost two minutes, he went silent. She however kept shocking him for almost another whole minute, till her hand could stay clutched anymore. She fell onto her side in exhaustion of using so much magic at once. She stood back up and simply looked down, noticing the Duke's face was no 'human' after all the shocking. She had however collected a small crowd of others who all came and saw the end result of her battle, some surprised while others ready to kill her to claim the kill for themselves.

"Well that was rather entertaining."

She heard the voice in the speak system for the mansion. All the other stopped as everyone who was here for the same reason as everyone else. They weren't going to do anything with their new Lord watching.

"Did you really have to go that far?"

She was sure if a monitor was showing, that he said it with a smile on his face. The exchange of faces as some got a better look to see the 'corpse' of the Duke. She had without knowing it set a rather very clear example of the Duke.

"I didn't like how he spoke of you so... carelessly and so I got carried away."

The laughter of that day, even if it came through only but a speaker, was something she would remember as a blessing. He just couldn't help but keep laughing as if he couldn't believe how well things turned out. He laughed for awhile as some of the others didn't seem to understand the exchange of words or his non-stop laughing. She waited to hear what was to come as false promises were nothing new to her, but for once she wished this would not be the case.

"Well then, you are now a general now aren't you?"

"Yes, Lord Sarath."

The others nearby were wondering what to do and the ones were going to steal it seemed to already lost motivation already.

"It appears the Duke's personal army is on the move, most likely an attempt to try and oppose me."

Saria didn't need the other as she turned pushing her way through the crowd and heading down the halls as all the mob of people confused and lost in direction seemed to not know what to do with all the energy and desire to keep fighting, however most them noticed her walking through as some started to follow her, not all for good reasons, but they were following.

"Let us end this pointless struggling, for our Lord."

Some didn't care about what she said, some just smiled in excitement as they would have more reason to keep fighting and killing. The few warriors of the group followed without question, as her fight with the Duke was enough respect in itself to follow. The rumor of the maid who killed a Duke spread faster then Saria could ever move and before the Duke's Army knew it, they were under siege by a mod guided by the very person who killed the Duke. The battle was harsh and brutal. The Duke's Army had training and experience, but Saria had the numbers and in addition she had the brains on how to use her number advantage, and the Duke's army was a strong force but with no head, as Saria had their armies' head off before the war began. The battle was decided within only three days.

The whole chain of events went by so quickly and she found herself on board the Sarath's capital ship, giving him the Duke's sword. He had already seen the defeat remotely from the hacked security system but still being given the sword was more as just a 'gift'. It however had not been cleaned and still the edge of the blade tainted in red blood just across entire edge.

"whose blood got on his blade?"

He asked as he looked over the blade like a new toy that likely was never going to be used. Saria answered quickly.

"My own."

He looked at her as if attempting to see where her injury was but noticed that she was heavily covered in grim, blood, dirt, and everything else. A few felt it was offensive for her to just be here as she smelled of sweat as well.

"I see."

He put the blade down and looked at Saria with far more interest then the Duke's sword, as if he already found something far more worth wild.

"I wasn't expecting the battle to be this decisive. An army of rag tag soldiers, compared to Duke Folris' army, I was expecting to spend a few months taking care of that matter. I didn't expect anyone to kill the Duke, his swordplay was supposedly better then Friesca's. I never expect to be robbed of my chance to take that title too."

Saria show no sign of worry, some of the crew wondered however if that met that he was mad. Sarath just smiled as he knew she was going to be very interesting.

"Very well, General... Saria is it?"

One of the advisors right behind Saria as this point made the all too familiar movement to say something ageist Sarath's decision. That advisor only found Saria's hand across his face as he felt electricity pass through his body, and instead of giving words of caution, he gave a scream of pain as he passed out from the pain to the horror of the remaining advisors. The one furthers away from the two spoke up carefully.

"My-My Lord, she just attacked and your personal advisor!"

Sarath was quick regarding his response, he didn't seem to blink an eye at it.

"I saw."

"Doesn't something need to be done regarding this!?"

The advisor was hoping he was going to get rid of her for attacking one of his personal advisors. Sarath however patted his left fist in the palm of his right hand as if an idea of genius struck him by watching the events.

"Ah, can you please take of the rest? That was something I'd forget to take care of."

The advisors seemed to not understand what he was asking but it seemed Saria understood without even being asked.

"Do mind if it’s a bit messy?"

"So long as it doesn't get everywhere."

"Understood"

It was a few moments later, and several new dead bodies lad in the throne room. Saria stood back in the same position she started in, with now blood stains on her sword and clothing.

"Is this acceptable?"

Sarath smiled as he spoke carefully.

"Let me see..."

He turned around on his throne and looked behind him who normally would have several advisors of different types, and the several bodies that lay were they once stood.

"Does anyone oppose me making her a general?"

There was no one to give a reply and it was just pure silence. He seemed very pleased as if he had wanted this for awhile.

"Ah silence, I haven't heard a stop in complaining since this started. Thank you Saria."

Saria smiled and gave a small formal bow.

"No problem Sarath."

She turned around and walked down the throne to take the one of the former advisors room for her own. She could hear Sarath's laughter, to her it was a blessing. The coming months bought up mountains of changes as the conquest of the galaxy began. The punishment system, the system designed to be the new law and order system was on large part created by Saria. The system was brutal and harsh but it was simple and effective enough that even most of the uneducated understood it basic principle. You do something wrong, you get hurt. You do something right, you get a reward. The punishments however was wide and vast, most often being a judgment call by those issuing the punishment, of what would be the 'dislike' of the person.

The system was a success, during the months of invasion and needs troops coming on and learning quickly and becoming part of the army quickly. The system also kept the internal struggles in line, as a punishment for one person can also be the reward to another. Saria lead the system as the chief of punishments, only second to Sarath himself. She also formed the Valkyrie, an elite unit of balanced combat female unit. She took people from all walks of life, even some of those enslaved during Sarath's campaign across the globe became free and even Valkyrie. She trained them in the most basic concepts of magic and combat, focusing on simplicity in combat. She aquried high jump magic and gliding magic as part of her search into more combat based spells once under Sarath's employ, to further increase her own worth and in turn the Valkyrie in general.

She led as a general during several invasions, keeping the needed slack and cover for the matters that Lord Sarath could care less about and matters that might have been forgotten. She would gladly walk to the gates of hell, or be sent their by his hand. She didn't care if he cared or not. He acknowledged her and that was all Saria needs to fight till she turns to dust.

Saria like most generals has a personal assistant who works on the sub-bridge of the main ship. She keeps all information flow and acts as Saria's information agent. This helps keep Saria aware of events going on when she is not onboard, however due to issues with other generals, Saria is not the quickest to hear news as many other general's view her as a 'treat' to their ass kissing methods with Lord Sarath, which annoys Saria and result in some information being relayed far too slow.

Weapons / Items
Valkyrie Shield - A special polycarbonate shield with a coiled frame work and a silver magi-crystal in the center of it. It is about one and half feet diameter, often strapped on the forearm. It specifically issued to Valkyrie only, for its high effectiveness and its use with the Valkyrie spell, Mageton. Its internal wire-frame makes Mageton possible, and makes it very highly resistant to energy based attacks, including mechanically and magically. Its poly carbon makes decently effective ageist solid projectiles as well. Its major draw back is it very limited size and limited coverage. It is by any means to combat personal firearms and blades, but by no means is it designs to combat explosive weaponry and anti-vehicle weaponry.

Vibe-Sword - A standard issue short sword, Saria often replaces these since she breaks them rather often. They are low quality, high quantity sword. They are cheap construction and only have a sharp blade, with no special features.

Valkyrie Armor - A medium weight armor that offers balance defense with an acceptable speed loss that covers the vital areas. (Chest, forearms, shoulders, legs, feet, mid-section, and back.) The Valkyrie learn to treat this as a second skin and often are trained to use both high jump and gliding with it. The slowest Valkyrie can become decently fast when not wearing armor. The armor has a minor metical coat for both visual appearance and for resistance to energy attacks. It offers good protection from projectiles, and somewhat better in melee combat. The joints use cloth armor instead of the poly-carbon armor on the main pieces, with provides very quick movement with the limbs, but in turn little protection for those limbs. (Arms, Knees, ankle, neckline, and hands) Valkyrie are known to remove the armor if they feel that its hindering them, some will even resort to using armor pieces as blunt force objects. The Valkyrie do have a type of helmet which is very open and only offers a simple built in radio by the ears so they may receive orders.

Combat Style - Saria has very high level of strength and endurance, both magically and physically, which make long fights her specialty. She uses single strike attacks and counter-attacks. Her style is a purely counter-attack, being noted by her often starting a fight in a defensive stance and letting the opponent have the first strike. She is swift with her attacks, she often stays in one place or walks towards her opponent, making her lack of speed pointless in the grand scheme of the battle. She prefers simple spells over grand and powerful ones, therefore most of her spells take very little magic.

Sodra - A simple but rather effective sword move. Saria will block the opponents attack by slamming her sword vertically downward into the ground, intentionally slamming it in the ground. She used the hilt of the sword to catch the opponent’s melee weapon in the down thrust, to suddenly push the opponent’s weapon down further then intended. This generally results in two events, the user lefts go of his sword to avoid being pulled downward when holding on, and avoid exposing themselves. The second being they hold onto the sword but are pulled forward towards Saria and often into magical or physical attack.
Strengths
- Highly effective melee attacks, sword or fist alike, especially if the attack is a thrust or lung.
- Excellent way to disarm or harm, once the opponent gets caught.
- Saria strength makes it easy for her to pull her sword back out faster then the opponent can regain their balance.
Weakness
- Its a melee move only, only usable when engaged in close range combat.
- It will damage the blade Saria is using, overuse will snap Saria's blade.
- Saria has to pull the sword back out to use it again.
For Better or For Worse
- When a blade does snap, she can counter attack faster as now she won't even have to pull the blade out of the ground. The problem is she can't control where it snaps, therefore making counter-attacks not always possible.

Elemental Ball - A simple but effective ball of elemental magic fired at a target. It’s a basic spell in most magic types. Saria uses several different elements each for different reasons. The spell often forms in the palm of the users hand and fires outward towards the target in a straight line. Lightning ball, is almost instant use and lightning fast movement towards the target, however it has limited range and does not cause must damage. A fire ball is very balanced, offering decent power, speed, and range with minor explosive impact. An ice ball is slow, but heavy 'ice rock' impact. The spell being casted is given away by the color, yellow for lightning, red for fire, blue for ice.
Strengths
- Lightning Ball is instant use and 'lightning' travel speed, and offers a minor numbing effect, excellent for pain only attacks.
- Fire Ball offers minor explosive impact, it travels at the speed of thrown baseball.
- Ice Ball offers a brute force impact of a hand-size rock being thrown at the target, goes as fast as a dodge ball being thrown at a target.
Weakness
- Lightning Ball, causes virtually no damage and barely can go beyond ten yards distance.
- Fire Ball, heat generated can hurt the user therefore repeated use of this spell will burn the casters hand.
- Ice Ball, is both the slowest to cast taking a few seconds to form and can not be head for long, as it’s a solid block of ice which is both heavy and cold.
For Better or For Worse
- Lightning Ball can and will causes a minor electrical surge when used on electronics, both friendly and foe alike.
- Fire Ball, when impacts something it will have a minor explosion which can knock over those standing within a yard of the impact point. This includes the caster as well as his targets.
- Ice Ball, can be caught and even thrown back since Ice Ball is a solid object once casted. It however does take a decent amount of skill to catch without getting hurt. If it didn't break apart when it hit the target, it can be used like any block of ice can be used.

Mageton - A powerful defensive spell using specific in conjunction with the Valkyrie shield. The user pushes magical energy on the reverse (handle side) of the shield so instead of the energy going towards the magi-crystal it goes outward, and with the wiring on the shield itself it creates a type of magical magnetic shield. This pulls projectiles, energy and metal projectiles, towards the shield. The downside of the move is the fact it draws magic from the user rapidly, making the key to the move is use it only for a fraction of a second in which the attack comes, to conserve as much magic as possible. The move can be used instantly but then its range then becomes very limited. The more time the Valkyrie has to get ready to defend, the larger they can expand the range but that also takes more magic. Mageton creates pulling and pushing forces so good footing is a must, especially when using a full mageton.
Strengths
- Saria's instant use Mageton covers 50% of her body, most the upper chest region.
- Mageton does minor reduce energy based attacks, making them somewhat weaker then they impact.
- An instant mageton often does not require a great deal of balance, at least not as much as a full one requires.
Weakness
- Mageton only re-directs attacks to the shield, it technically offers little or no additional defense. This means explosive attack, like RPGs, will still hit and explode as normal.
- Saria can hold a full Megaton for 2 min straight, before she would pass out from exhaustion.
- Megaton only works if the opponent is in front of the shield, if it’s active a shot comes from behind, Megaton will pull the projectile THROUGH the user, increasing the intended damage.
- Mageton relies on the wiring designed into the Valkyrie shield to make the affect possible, if the shield becomes damaged or badly miss-shaped, it will decrease the effectiveness of the move in relationship to the damage on the shield itself.
- Magically it takes too much power, hence why most Valkyrie is told never to hold it for more then 5 seconds.
For Better or For Worse
- The shield becomes a super magnetic when in use. This can be helpful if used right, and painful if used wrong. Some Valkyrie understand this, some don't.
- It can be used to keep a foes weapon (if metal) stuck to the shield, however this is consider too exhausting, and when stuck to the shield its very possible for a Valkyrie to stab themselves with the sharp pointy object stuck to their own shield, the longer it is the more likely it is, and depending on the strength of the users this might allow the opponent to control the Valkyrie's shield arm (if they are stronger).

Skills
High Jump - One of the most basic spells taught to all Valkyrie, high jump. The ability draws magic to the ball of their foot and expands it when jumping to increase the height of the jump. It varies depending on the Valkyrie using it, but almost all Valkyrie can do an instant jump over a person, to a seven tall jump after taking a moment to get ready. The skill is very cost effective to use little jumps then one big jump, often paired with gliding magic which allow Valkyrie to cover ground quickly despite the armor they wear.
Glide - The second most basic spells taught to all Valkyrie, gliding. The ability slowly descends onto the planet using the force of motion through the air. The ability to use this skill widely varies from Valkyrie to Valkyrie but in general most can glide to some extent. The control of descent and speed control often figure how much magic this uses, ironically its easy to go fast and harder to go slow, cause more moving in the air makes gliding magic work more effective, despite making it more difficult to land. When combined with high jump magic, Valkyrie can cover a lot of distance much quicker then many on foot.

Overall Strengths
- Saria has very impressive amount of strength and endurance.
- Her magic consumption is low due to her priority on simple spells over advanced spells.
- She has no empathy for her opponents.
- She has no fear of death.
- Her attack speed and her strikes are very swift.
- Saria prefers to duels in combat, and is very good at them.

Overall Weakness
- Saria mobility is very low when on the ground, and is still low even without armor.
- When in air her mobility is respectable but still slow and predictable.
- She has very little ability in 'evasion'.
- Sarath's word is law, no matter how dumb it may be.
- She does however value her tactical strengths, and therefore will not throw her life into a battle where her lose would not be worth the victory.
- Saria has no chance of pursuing anyone, her speed on ground is too slow and using gliding and high jump would take too much magic in a long pursuit.
- Her magic use may be low, but the fact her faster movement requires magic and her defense, especially Mageton when combined and not carefully watched, can result in her exhausting her magic quickly.
- She is poor in multi-person combat.

For Better Or For Worse
- Saria will attempt to recruit even her opponents to become a Valkyrie, if they are worthy.
- She only shows any emotion in respect to Sarath's, like cause of her relationship.
