Jav immediately followed the bird vertically with his pistol firing three more rounds just ahead of her flight path aiming for his wings. "you cant dodge us forever beak freak!" he yelled through his grit teeth.

Olive... didn't quite luck out. Nail's rounds got the captain square in the arm, causing her to yell and fall to the ground. On the bright side, this meant Jav's rounds missed her, because her flight path had been broken.

"That was cheating, ya dirty landlubber!" she growled as she grabbed her cutlass again for support.

((I've noticed that whenever I'm not "cheating," I'm losing. I know I can't win everything, but when was the last time I won anything? Maybe I just stink at this.))

[Once again Kitty, you're doing things that take way longer to do than the span of time you have to do them in. 9mm bullets (which is what Nail us using) travel 1100 feet per second. By the time you turned around to see what Nail is doing (which I'd imagine would be difficult right after takeoff), you would already be hit. That's all the time it takes to aim and fire a gun. That gives you no time to dodge or even think about dodging. And on top of that, Nail is a master marksman. I think Olive's fight is over now.]

((Well Kitty, that's what tends to happen if you fight when outnumbered. You need to try harder to turn the circumstances to your advantage before and during a fight. That's what I've been trying to do the whole time we've been fighting.))

"Glad that's over..." Nail mumbled to himself. Raising his voice, he directed his gun at Olive. "Yield. You're not going to win this fight now...not in that state. I don't want to kill you if I don't have to. Jav...if you please...I think you had questions for her?" As he spoke and with his gun pointed at Olive, Nail moved to position himself so that Olive was between him and her crew.

Olive clutched her wounded arm. "Don't ye get used to this, Pin," she growled in Nail's direction, intentionally getting his name wrong. "The Captain never forgets a fight. The next time we meet it won't be the same."

One of Olive's crew leaned towards Jav. "She calls herself Captain Olive. You'll have to excuse her; she's a bit thick-headed."

((Say, is there any reason why you didn't get your crew to fight us? I mean, you might have won if you'd used them too. Heck, if you wanted to, you could probably use them now.))

In the meantime, Nail had moved completely behind Olive, putting her directly between himself and the crew. That way, if any of them tried to attack they risked hitting her instead of him. But he kept some distance from Olive, in case she decided to pull a fast one like the first time he held her up.
