RE: Living in the City
Quote:Tutley flashed his G.U.N. personel I.D to the officers. "Keep these two under heavy survailance at the station until I report back. Me and my comraude here are going to investigate into the details of the attack." "Yeah, sure..." One cop replied to Tutlely seeming only half-interested in what the turtle had to say. And he hardly seemed at all impressed with Tutley's GUNG I.D. badge either. "Alright, Sly, lets go. No funny business." The second cop warned as he roughly grabbed Huu by both arms and hauled him to his feet. I had to struggle against the police officer just to keep him from dragging me away before I could reply to Jack's question. "Mack's an old bobcat who flies an old bush plane. Wears a greasy pair of blue overalls." The police officer didn't seem to take kindly to Chadin resisting and continuing to speak. "Hey, shut the hell up and move!" the officer shouted angrily and roughly shook Chadin before hauling him onward. "Lay off will you! I didn't do anything!!" Again the officer violently shook me up to try and shut me up and push me on. And now I was wanting to be difficult just because of how unsympathetic and roughly this guy was treating me. "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!" I shouted again, this time at the top of my lungs.[/color] |

RE: Living in the City
"HEY" Jack barked at the cop, feeling a twinge of anger. "If you'd quit shaking him around, maybe he'd be a little more cooperative!
Yeah. So he's defending someone who tried to kill him. So what? He believed Chadins story and, though he wanted them in custody in case he was wrong, he couldn't help but find the rough treatment a tad too cruel for someone he's sort of trying to help. He was never a fan of cops. At least, he had a few run ins with people who liked to flash a badge and push people around. He didn't want to have to think these two people who bailed them out were the same way. With an annoyed roll of the eyes, the hedgehog turned to Tutley, crossing his arms in a thoughtful position. "So what's the plan? Check the airport for this Mack guy and see if we can find any leads?" |

RE: Living in the City
[From "Slice of Life". Let's get this topic back in action!]
'I wonder if they're still here.' It had been a while since I'd left the alleyway. Although I did not intend to leave everyone for so long, Tifa dropped a bombshell on me. And by that, I meant "I'm sorry, but I forgot to tell you. I'm from another world!" I wasn't sure just how to feel about it, although I had put up a good front. She seemed so stressed out just from me finding out. I half wondered if I had been the first. Part of me questioned if she had the ability to wipe out memories. It was a scary thought. But right now, I couldn't worry about what if's. I turned the corner and caught sight of the others with two officers. It was pretty surprising, I had to admit to myself. They usually seemed pretty slow getting to the scene, but then again, I was used to Sonic speed. I'm sure they had gotten there as fast as they could. "Hey!" I waved towards the group as I rejoined them. |

RE: Living in the City
The turtle would raise his hands as the cop drug off the buck. "Hey, hey, easy!", he shouted out, knowing Chadin may well be a innocent deer... more or less. He rubbed the back of his shell, remembering it's earlier impact on a wall. After a moment or two, he turned his attention on Jack. "Roger, that's what we'll do first. But er...where's-
"Hey!" "Well...nevermind then.", he said giving a laugh as Amy returned. Aside from having her injuries patched up, she was well.. alone. "So....about that help you were getting?", he asked raising a brow, or would have had he actually had one as he crossed his arms. Everyone's favorite hyperactive turtle from the future! RE: Living in the City
((Okay, take two!))
With few options, Huu cooperated with the officer, but kept an eye on him. They can never keep me locked up for long. I'll show them. I just need a chance... |

RE: Living in the City
Shadow landed silently on the edge of an adjacent rooftop, looking down on the scene below. It didn't look too bad... two fellows, a deer and a racoon, were apparently being apprehended by the police. Also there was Amy, and a number of faces his recognized from the ship back in Capitol two weeks ago: the stretchy brown hedgehog, the turtle that had saved him, and one of Slick's goons. He didn't like the shifty look of the racoon, but the deer didn't seem very threatening at all, other than the thrashing about and screaming he'd done nothing. Overall it didn't look like the situation was nearly as bad as it had seemed from Amy's disheveled state earlier... or at least it was being wrapped up nicely. Still, he was already there, and standing on the ledge above them he could hear them all clearly, so he figured he may as well try to find out what exactly was going on. With no leads on Rouge, it can't hurt to stick around a bit, he thought.

RE: Living in the City
[From “Slice of Life”]
“Meeeooowwwww~.” The little white kitten strolled up to Amy, purring loudly, and began to rub up against her shoes. It had followed her all the to the crime scene and apparently wasn’t scared of what was going on around. Which was the complete opposite on Decoe’s case. He had at least glimpsed the little fur ball going up to the pink hedgehog and was now staring at the wall in front of his; his gears still on and hiding himself on the corner of a building at the end of a slightly short alleyway. Now as to the reason why he was scared exactly, he wasn’t too sure. It was most likely because he had no idea what was going on, but didn’t like the sound of it, especially when someone was practically screaming that they were innocent. Not to mention the fact that he knew absolutely –NOTHING- about earth life. Heck, the dictionary on his mainframe isn’t even finished, let alone additional information. Strange things on four wheels…that move. Sure he’d seen stuff move on rails, on the Ark but not even –he- was completely sure as to what they were. So being terrified in a situation in where you have absolutely no idea what’s going on must be alright, right? Right? |

RE: Living in the City
"Amy, good to see you again." Cutter called out as she took notice of her return. "Just in time to see these two goons dragged off. I guess you found a phone after all, huh, good work."
"Alright, ring tail, on your feet and get moving." The cop warned Huu as he roughly grabbed him and hauled him to his feet. "Thanks for your assistance citizens." The cop thanked as he escorted Huu down the fire escape. By now, the officer attending to Chadin reached the ground level via the fire escape and started shoving him further into the alley rather than towards the street. Around another corner and out of sight from any of the assembled furs on the roof tops, Chadin and Huu would find themselves tossed into a large unmarked black van. The two policeman quickly jumped inside right behind Huu, preventing any chance of escape there. The instant the second officer was aboard, the sliding door slammed shut and the van sped off through the alley and seamlessly merged into traffic on the other side of the city block from furries on the roof top. The moment I saw the black van instead of a police vehicle I knew something wasn't right, but every time I tried to shout the police officer taking me to the van twisted my wrist further and silenced me with the pain. Once they threw me into the van I tried to resist; I even managed to catch on man in a well dressed suit across his left eye with my antlers but that just seemed to make him angry. Before I knew what was happening, I felt the large man jam a taser into my stomach. The electricity surged through me and before I could even react I fell to the ground unconscious. The same man, with a nasty looking gash across his left eye turned towards Huu now, brandishing the same taser. "Unless you want the same thing to happen to you, I suggest you remain calm." He warned, with a faint Asian accent. |

RE: Living in the City
Jack felt a great relief wash over him when he heard Amy call out to them. The hedgehog turned her way, and was quick to greet her on her return.
"Ah. There you are, Amy. Excellent timing, too. Me and Tut just got some... interesting information out of that deer, and we were just about to look into it" The cops led the two away. Once they were an acceptable distance away, Jack let out a soft snort. "Hmph. 'Thanks', my spiky ass." he muttered under his breath "The way they led those two off, I wonder if they were somehow safer with us..." Jack let out a sigh before returning his gaze to Amy. There were more important things to worry about. "No point in worrying about it now, though. Are you okay, Amy? Did you find anything that could help us? |
