RE: Biding Time
Sarath stood and watched as Tallulah played with his sword, toying with her feline counterpart like a cat with a mouse. As he turned towards him he cast a slightly disproving glance in her direction. "In other circumstances you may have found yourself regretting those actions...however, given the present situation I cannot afford to remove any more crew members...especially one as skilled as you."
Sarath paused, glancing back at Celes with a thoughtful expression on his face. During the exchange between Sarath and Tallulah, Lefina has sneaked silently up behind them and now stood a few feet away with his head hung slightly. Even with her position she was not beyond punishment and her lords words dug deep into her own mind, the wolfess glad she would likely be spared his wrath for her earlier mistake. Finally Sarath gave a small nod and stepped back slightly. "Remove her 'trinkets' and find out who allowed her to recover them. They at least can answer for their mistakes. As for the tiger herself, perhaps it will be amusing watching her slowly going insane from isolation. Take her to pod 3 and leave her there." |

RE: Biding Time
eles immediately began to struggle again, the prospect of 15 years alone was not one that filled her with endless joy/ She had been scared for her life, the tiger barely being able to watch as her sister had swung for her neck. Still the strike hadn't come and it had confirmed what Celes had known all along. "You coward! Celes knew you didn't have the stomach for a real fight! You were always like that! Running off to join the Imperium like some traitorous dog! Celes hopes the people of this world find you and finish the job they started!"
Celes glared at her sister, her eyes no longer filled with fear but blind anger and hatred. If she had needed any further convincing that Tallulah was indeed her sister she had just got it. |

RE: Biding Time
If Celes had wished for a reaction, she probably got more than she anticipated. Tallulah swiped at her with a set of claws, aiming to tear them across her face. What mere pleasantries the older tigress typically showcased to prisoners were quickly disregarded in an alarming instant. But then, these were crucially different circumstances, more so than perhaps some in the room would acknowledge. After all, back at their homeworld, what Tallulah had done proved to be one of the highest insults in the books. Far worse than petty name calling.
"Even if this world deals me the final blow, I will at least be assured that it wasn't I that did likewise to our world. Not that you were ever competent enough to realize that." Tallulah returned Sarath's blade and bade him a strange, low bow as Andrue and the other being from before yanked Celes away and out to the isolation chambers. Frezul sighed in his cloak before he bid Sarath a sign that he would probably best have his wounds inspected again later. The cloaked figure left it at just that though as activity suddenly jumped in the room. Tarisa came out of the one corner, shaking like a leaf. She immediately set to reassessing the damage and escorted the insectoid creature from before to one of the available beds. |

RE: Biding Time
Sarath smilled slightly as he watched the family fued, a small almost silent chuckle escaping his muzzle. He accepted his blade from Tallulah and looked back as Celes was dragged off. His attention finally shifted, the fox sliding his sword back into its sheath and closing his eyes for a moment. He rose a paw, brushing it over his neck for a moment before turning towards the door.
"I'm returning to the bridge. Tallulah, you certainly have an interesting family, I hope you don't mind if I toy with this one a little. After recent events I need a little entertainment." Sarath gave a small chuckle and turned away, his paw giving a small wave as he walked off. |

RE: Biding Time
Celes cried out as Tallulah's claw raked across her face leaving a long bloody mark across the middle of her face. Luckily for her it missed her eyes but it was still a nasty scar all the same. She fell silent as she was dragged from the room, glaring back at her sister with a vengeful expression.
"Curse that backstabbing traitor...how could she join up with the very one who turned our world upside down?! Just you wait Tal...you've underestimated me this time...this is one tiger who's not going to play dead for your amusement." |

RE: Biding Time
[Time jump in progress.]
It was a time later that things seemed to have settled down. After their earlier brush with GUN, the Monoceros had fled the scene at best speed. Currently she sat on the ground, her hull almost completely hidden amongst the rocky outcrops of a small mountain range on an island. The ship wasn't invisible by any means but it would take someone being well out of their way to spot her. In addition the mountain ranges provided excellent cover against radar and aerial scanners. Sarath himself had returned to the bridge, overseeing the landing and then had retired to his quarters. The crew had seemed a little unsure of itself upon his return, rumours already having spread about the incident in the medical bay. Sarath though had not taken any notice of it and had issued his orders with his usual style. Even so, the stresses of the day were showing their colours and as Sarath sat in his quarters his exhaustion began to show. Oh course, this was helped along by the rather intense shoulder massage Tanya was giving him. The mink was still young but she certainly had a firm grip, a little too firm you could say. Still Sarath didn't seem to mind, slumped as he was in his chair enjoying the treatment. Tanya had probably the most distressed out of all the crew when she had heard what had happened. Rushing to Sarath as soon as she found out and glomping him. Sarath had long since learned to tolerate the over excited mink, she was young and not exactly the smartest one onboard. She had shown her usefulness in previous battles though, mostly her ability to keep going regardless of the situation. Sarath admired this, and her protective attitude, she proved to be a useful bodyguard. Presently she pressed to firmly causing Sarath to give a small growl. Tanya returned the sound with a small 'meep' and quickly relaxed her grip. Sarath relaxed again, closing his eyes as he contemplated his next move. With the main engines down there was no chance of breaking gravity and gaining an orbit, besides he was not one to run from a fight and he was determined to show the world what happened when they messed with him. However it would require a different approach, a much different approach... |

RE: Biding Time
Cell clenched and unclenched her fists in rapid sucession. She sat with her back to the metal wall, her tail flicking back and forth in an annoyed pattern. Glancing up from her hands she gazed up at the top of the 'pod' she was in. It was a tall cylindrical room about a meter and a half across at the bottom. Four meters up the plain seemless wall was a hatchway, the same one she had entered from. Cell remembered that, she still had the bruise on her cheek where she had hit the floor after being thrown through it.
She was already starting to go crazy, stripped of her newly reacquired gadgets and left to rot in the bottom of this metal prison. She stood up quickly, her eyes still fixed on the door above her. Pressing herself back against the wall she sprung forwards, launching herself up at the door. Being a feline her leap was like watching an olympic gymnast, Cell making the jump only for her claws to find no purchase and slide back down the wall...landing with a crack on the bottom of the cell. Cell whimpered, rolling onto her side and then into a ball. What was she going to do now? There was no way out of this cell, she was trapped and caged for real this time. She wished she was back home, back with her friends and family. She curled up tighter, wrapping an arm around her face as a line of tears began to run through her fur. |

RE: Biding Time
Elsewhere on the ship, Lefina was sitting quietly at one side of the medical bay watching the staff go about its duty. She was virtually healed yet she had decided to stay in the bay a little longer, after her earlier missfire she was a little reluctant to show herself in front of Sarath in case he was still upset. He had not called for her but she always erred on the side of caution.
Besides, one other matter was currently stuck in her mind, Tallulah. Standing from her seat she decided to confront the thought head on, the wolfess going on a search for the tigress. It didn't take her long but she hesitated for a moment, lingering on the edge of her view as she decided how to proceed. "Uh...Tallulah...I have a question if you have a moment." |

RE: Biding Time
Tallulah looked up from the injured wing of what looked to be a cross of a dragon and something far more alien as she heard someone call her from behind. Lefina stood not far off appearing jittery yet. She couldn't blame her though. The tigress knew Sarath's temper too well these days.
"Just a moment, Lefina." She finished wrapping the bandage and collected the spare clutter on the table nearby, dropping it in a small tin bin. Sweeping to her feet, she took the bin and started into a side room where she tossed the tools into some disinfectant and snapped off and trashed the twentieth pair of gloves she'd probably worn on that day alone. She took a seat on a chair and hissed to herself as she rubbed her ankle. By Andrue's insistence, she'd had it wrapped and her shoulder bore a chilling cold patch too from where the shot had hit her. It was visible from the hole in the fabric of her top. Her eyes bore dark rims and blood-enriched arteries. "So, what is it that you wanted?" |
