RE: Biding Time
For a moment Cell just sat on the metal floor shaking. She couldn't believe her luck sometimes, she had decided to take drop the sneaking act and run while the going was clear...only to have run straight into a rather angry and worried looking wolfess. As the dust settled and the wolfess left Cell looked around quickly and took a deep breathe. "That was too close for Cell's liking..."
"Bra-ink!" came a overly cheerful chirp from Cell's right shoulder. With a small pop a floating silvery blob slid from some sort of pouch on her shoulder and started to float over her shoulder. Cell gave a small grin and gave the silvery blob a pet. "You said it Pog. However...what did that wolf say...Sarath is injured. Hmm, this is worth checking out..." As Cell puzzled, Pog had travelled above her head and had reformed itself into a large red question mark. Cell didn't seem to notice at this point and slowly picked herself up off the floor. Glancing back and forth down the corridor she set off in the opposite direction to the wolf, guessing she had just come from the miedical bay. Cell clasped her hands together and gave a small grimace, she needed to try and find something to help heal her burns anyway. She took off at a run down the corridors, shortly finding a sign on the wall that directed her towards the medical bay. For a moment she stood outside, wondering what would be the best way to deal with this. She could rush in or take it easy or try to blend in like she had done before. Given how easy it had been the previous time, and given that the room was likely to be full of injured people and docotrs she decided to try and blend in like before. She gave Pog a pat on the head and it returned to its home on Cell's shoulder. Taking a deep breath she stepped forwards, opened the door and stepped into the room. |

RE: Biding Time
A few heads turned as Cel opened the door. After a short glimpse, most returned their attention back to whatever they had been doing, a couple left to stare and wonder why she was around. The medical staff wasn't exactly a big group and although they would call for help in case of emergency, Celes didn't exactly seem the type they'd use as an extra hand. Still, if anyone was hassled enough by this thought, they didn't voice it. All but one.
"You!" Tallulah made to climb off the bed only to trip on Andrue in the process. Her cougar companion hissed and yanked her off him, barely refraining from inconsideration. He tried to replace her back onto the bed, but the tigress planted her feet on the floor and pointed a finger at Celes. "She's a prisoner, Andrue!" Andrue didn't have to think twice. He spun to face Celes, putting himself between the female felines. Claws extracted from his fingers without a second thought. He quickly started toward her with long, unsettling strides. A few others joined him. |

RE: Biding Time
Lefina had turned several corners after running into Cell before she started to think again. She stopped and rested a hand against the bulkhead beside her, letting loose a long drawn out sigh. She was worried about everything, that new magical energy, Sarath, her injuries...the list went on for quite some length.
She hung her head slightly and then shook it, "I shouldn't have shouted like that...what was I thinking?" She turned to her side, momentarily curious as to who she had run into was as she laid eyes on a computer terminal. She wandered over, tapping a few commands into the screen and watching as a search started. The search only took a few seconds but the result wasn't what she had expected, the words 'No Match Found!' displayed in red. Giving the computer a suspicious look she back tracked slightly, erased the data she had just entered and tapped in the word 'tigress' into the crew search perameter. Again the search started, this time bringing back results, three of them. One was Tallulah, whilst her fur pattern was odd you couldn't deny her species. Another was a young male tiger who worked at the comm station on the bridge. And the third was an elderly tigress who worked inco-ordinating ground assaults. There was no match for the tigress she had met in the corridor. Lefina was puzzled, if she wasn't on the crew...who was she? There was no way an enemy operative could have got onboard but... "...Oh NO!" Lefina turned round and began to run as best she could up the corridor back towards the medi bay. |

RE: Biding Time
"...oh...god..." Cell couldn't believe her luck, or lack of it at this particular moment. Even so Cell wasn't about to go down without a fight, she wasn't a girly girl after all. She might have simply turned and ran but the owner of the voice had already caught her ear, it was familiar...not just from the prison cell but more so now.
She jumped backwards, flicking her wrists round sharply. This had the effect of activating her wrist 'pockets', her twin pulse pistols seemingly appearing out of nowhere. Cell gripped them quickly and fired twice, the highly charge plasma bolts striking the metal decking just ahead of Andrue and his approaching group. "Don't come any closer or this place will have even more patients. Cell is...no ficking way!" Cell's gaze had just fallen on Tallulah, the look on her face causing a flash from her memories that, couples with the tone of her voice, was enough to bring back the memory in full. "Tally! Why you back stabbing, double dealing, two faced bitch! Cell's gonna rip your spleen out!" She jumped, Cell flicking her foot back and causing the 'pocket' on her right heel to activate. A split second later her anti grav board had materialised beneath her feet. She turned slightly, seeming looking like she was about to try and cut right round the approaching group and go for Tallulah directly. |

RE: Biding Time
Andrue stopped in his tracks as the shots hit, area effect bouncing off the metal paneling. While he managed to barrel out of the way, his companions weren't so lucky. One that looked like an overly fuzzy insect-like creature found itself screaming as two of its scrawny legs were trimmed off. The other looked almost like something out of a kids book: a red, thin, stretchy looking beast banned with yellow stripes. It fell to a knee as a burning sensation bit into its thigh. Growling, the creature stretched its arms out after Celes only to have them tangled by the insect, tripping Andrue in the process.
"Tallulah!" Tallulah herself saw Celes coming and snapped both hands out in front of her with open palms. An outcrop of rock suddenly jutted from the floor in front of the tigress. |

RE: Biding Time
Lefina could hear the gunshots go off even down the corridor. She screwed her eyes up, cursing to herself her own stupidity. The wolfess rounded the corner, coming to an abrupt stop in the medi bay doorway. It was then that she breathed a small sigh of relief, his Lordship had was not yet involved in the fire fight, however it had already seemed to have claimed victims.
Lefina quickly spotted Cell, a gravity board bound orange tigress was not had to miss amongst a room of bed bound soldiers. "Holy light that binds all things, will of the goddess eternal and purity that cleanses all. I call upon you now, grant me the strength to smite my foes..." As Lefina began to chant a pin point of light appeared above her, the intensity growing brighter with every word she spoke. --------------------- Meanwhile in the next room Sarath gave a small moan, his eyes fluttering slightly as he started to wake. For a moment he simply lay where he was, the sounds of the fire fight in the next room slowly drifting in on the air. Just then, as if his body had been given a jump start, he sat straight up in his bed with a jolt. |

RE: Biding Time
Cell was already making a beeline round the room and was heading towards Tallulah when she cast her spell. An expression of 'oh hell' crossed her face coupled with a small cry that left her lips. Still she had other tricks up her sleave and was going to use them.
Turning the board to the side slightly she allowed the skid to slow her approach slightly until she was almost on top of the rocky outcrop. Then she did it. With an audible whine a flash erupted from the bottom of Cell's board. A few minor bolts of static electricity shot one way and the next, most hitting the rock and fading away. However the burst threw Cell upwards into the air. With the grace of a feline she arched her back, throwing her legss upwards into the air as her head and arms pointed downwards. Now above her sister she fired again, just once though, the feline concious of her limited ammo. |

RE: Biding Time
Least to say, Tallulah hadn't expected such a change of pace. Although she tried ducking out of the way, the shot nicked her shoulder and she wailed. Clasping it with one hand, she reached out with another. The rock returned to the floor as the former plating it had been. What replaced it were the familiar set of tendrils from before, right underneath where Celes would land if she didn't do something to change course. Perspiration began to dampen the older tigress' facial fur.
In the meantime, Andrue hadn't even bothered to collect his footing. He charged on Celes on all fours. The banded creature backed him up. ________
Frezul jumped as Sarath sat upright. Hearing the commotion nearby, he had ordered a couple of the extra hands to guard the door as he remained on standby at their Lord's side. He bowed solemnly but quickly and motioned to his injuries with precaution in his gestures. |

RE: Biding Time
Sarath glanced across at Fruzel, a small nod of his own answering Fruzel's gesture. Fruzel was a quiet things yet Sarath had not placed him in the medical centre without reason, he was certainly a skilled doctor and Sarath could not ignore his opinion when it came to matters of health. Still, this was not a time to let injuries get the best of you. To be truthful though, although he still felt the claw marks in his neck, he felt strangely energised.
He swung his legs round, perching himself on the edge of the bed for a moment, and then jumped off onto the floor. His stance was a little shaky for a moment but he eventually stood up fully and stepped towards the door. If anyone protested he ignored them, something wasn't right. As the door slid open he stepped into the doorway and stopped. The scene before him was not what he was expecting...even more so was the tiger girl currently flying through the air. He recognised her immediately, it had been a rather annoying incident when she had been found hiding onboard. He instinctively reached for his sword yet he found it wasn't there, obviously removed when they had been tending to his wounds. Lefina meanwhile had just been about to finish her spell when Sarath entered the room. Her attention was distracted, the spell firing but at the wrong angle. "Holy light, strike no...Lord Sarath!" The ball of light above Lefina's head glimmered and then flew across the room, searing just past Cell as she flew through the air and slamming into the wall at the back of the medi bay. A bright flash filled the room, everyone catching a piece of her misplaced spell. |

RE: Biding Time
Cell grinned as she watched her shot graze Tallulah but quickly cringed as she saw the tendrils appearing...she remembered what had nearly happened last time she had got stuck in them and she didn't want Tallulah to finish the job this time. She quickly activated her boards anti grav, the tigress still upside down and still relatively far into the air at the time. The end result saw Cell's board rising to the ceiling and, with a solid thunk, sticking to it. She had avoided the tendrils for now but Cell knew it was only a simple case of recasting the spell...magic users were suck freaks...
It was then that two events happened almost at once. Her ears twitched, picking up Lefina's cry and causing her head to spin round. There in the doorway to the next room stood Sarath himself. The fox seemingly unarmed as well. This was perfect...this was just what she wanted...this was... "Sarath?! I'll have you too while I-I-I-ayyyyyyyyyye! ARGH! Dammit!" The light blast fired by Lefina had just stuck the wall, catching Cell completely off guard. She hung from the ceiling, clutching her hands to her eyes and cursing under her breath. |
