ESCAPE FROM THE CITY
(i had to.)

The sky was red today. Finally conscience enough to react, Noka store at the sky. His over-reacting had finally subsided. He gandered around his location. He had never gotten this far away from the city before.

It occured to him his paints were still down by the city outskirts.

"...rats!" he whispered to himself. No matter nothing some alternative red paints couldnt solve...
It felt as if Noka had quickly shrugged off the terror he had felt not less than 5 moments ago..

RE: ESCAPE FROM THE CITY
In the GUN transport vehicle, Roberta gripped the wheel firmly. Her mind kept flashing back to the sinking mother ship.

Shadow was in there. He's probably drowned by now... and it's my fault. If I hadn't been so foolish as to let him join the party up there, he'd be safe and sound right now... I'm sorry, Shadow...

"Roberta, watch where you're driving!"

Johnson's yell brought Roberta to her senses, and she quickly put the vehicle back on course; it had almost left the road while she was distracted.

RE: ESCAPE FROM THE CITY
(Sorry I've been sick and could only check on here during school.)

As Maddock drove fast and away from Capitol City, he watch the scenery roll by at quite the speed. Tree flew by and every now and then you could see what looked like a small crater, most likely made by the globs of energy that had rocketed away from the city. Yet the hole time he was silent. To busy was he with pondering the effects of the strange energy they had all been subjected to, to notice Roberta's sloppy driving.

*Errgh. What was that Orb made of? It burned hot and cut threw anything it came in contact with, but it's surface was as calm as water... I doubt that it was a good thing we were ground side when those beams struck down or that ball formed... Are we all irradiated? Well I need to get checked by a doctor when we get back.../Hmmm... You have endangered all of us, you know this?/Yes I know. Theres nothing I can do about it now though, is there?*

It was Nokame's words that snapped him out of his deep think.

"Huh? Rats? Were? What are you talking about?"

At the speed the group was going they would reach the city before night fall... hopefully.

RE: ESCAPE FROM THE CITY
Roberta leaned closer to the wheel, gripping it firmly.

I'll worry about Shadow after we get back.

The transport vehicle was well on course now, and Station Square wasn't too far ahead.

RE: ESCAPE FROM THE CITY
(Ok. Time warp is at hand!!!!)

The small convoy, if you could call it that, was now with in view of the City. The sun was about, 'Maddock held his left hand up and spread out his fingers', 3 fingers from the horizon... about 45 mins from sun set. The ride had been quite more or less with the occasional bit of small talk. In all truthfulness, Maddock was happy and fearful at the same time. His body was achy and he was hoping to see a doctor soon. He only hoped that the pain he was feeling was due to his old age and the strain he had put on it today and not from and kind of radiation sickness due to the energy that came from the ruptured ship.

"Were almost there Nokame. Not much further...."
*Really wish I had a radio to chat with Roberta... This guys as good as a mute for conversation.../You always have the voices in your head. Ya wack job./Shut up.*

Maddock focused back on the road. He hadn't noticed that his face had gone limp and his eyes glazed over. Had this happened every time he talked to the voices? No. This was definantley the first time.... He would have to be careful, this may be a sign of things to come.
