RE: War Room 02
"The hanger, obviously, how'd you think I got here? Swim?" Trigger replied in a mixture of cold truth and faintly mirthful humour. He would lead Blitz along through the maze of corridors that (truth be told) Trigger only really remembered the route thanks to markings on the wall and having only passed through this same path only a few hours ago.
As they went, Trigger's mind started to grow bored already, so, might as well strike up a conversation to kill time at least. "So, you said you were built by GUN right?" |

RE: War Room 02
"Yeah, I was," Blitzkrieg answered, a twinge of anger in his voice. "It's so ironic; GUN built me to destroy the Doctor once an for all. I failed, about a year ago. Didn't even get past his outermost defenses. It wasn't that I'm too weak, you yourself saw to the contrary. I didn't like the idea of destroying my fellow machines. I couldn't do it." The android grit his teeth, and his clenched fists turned into blades of their own accord. "When I returned, defeated, those GUN bastards decided they didn't need a weapon with feelings. I overheard plans to destroy me, so I struck first. I escaped and I've been in hiding for a year, brooding and destroying my feelings until all that's left of me is a cold, emotionless killing machine, just like GUN wanted. I simply find it ironic that now I'm turning to the man I was created to destroy for aid in destroying my creators. Don't you agree?"
Blitz's frown turned to a small smirk and he turned away, no longer paying attention to where he was going but instead letting his board take him along for the ride. "Pathetic, I know. An android with a sob story. Pay me no mind. I haven't spoken to anyone in a year, so there are things I gotta get off my breastplate. You're just unfortunate enough to be the first guy around to listen. Heh, sucks to be you." Then he turned back to the badger with a slightly inquiring look. "What about you?" he said, a slight mock in his inquisitive tone. "What's your sob story? Why are you with the good Doctor?" |

RE: War Room 02
"All I'm going to tell you about my past is I used to work for GUN and they kicked me out. And that's all you're going to get out of me." Trigger replied with cold regard.
A moment later though Trigger's demeanor shifts and lets out a few laughs and looks over his shoulder at Blitz. "Oh that's rich. I've heard of robots deciding its wrong to kill organics, but this is just classic. A robot that refused to trash other robots. Ha!" "And just what is so bad about destroying another robot? They're not alive, they don't even have A.I's that might quantify them being alive. Just hunks of metal and wires that are programed with a bunch of simple basic functions. And for the most part, they're easy hardly a challenge to take down. Those Swat-bots for example are so stupid they'd walk right onto a mine if you ordered one to." |

RE: War Room 02
Mentally Blitz steamed at the badger's thoughts on robots. Of course, he was absolutely certain that half his reason for saying any of it was to get on the android's nerves, but even knowing that it still pissed him off.
Outwardly however the android showed none of this, maintaining his smirking poker face like only an android could (that is, extremely well). "The reason why I cared is quite simple, really," Blitz said calmly. "It's because I'm not some mindless Swat-bot that follows orders. I'm not just a hunk of metal and wires programmed with basic functions. And as you saw a few minutes ago, I'm hardly easy to take down." The android's smirk dissapeared and a more serious, thoughtful look took it's place."I feel a kinship to my fellow machine. I couldn't exist without them. It was machines and robots that were used to build me. They were my predecessors, my ancestors, the lineage of mechanical success and failure that resulted, in the end, as me. Back then the thought of destorying a robot would be about the equivalent to the thought of slaughtering old people would be for you." Blitzkrieg shot Trigger a sidelong glance and smirked again. "Okay, maybe not you, but for a normal person." He laughed slightly, a hollow, metallic sound, as though whoever had programmed his voice modulator had decided that laughter was unneccessary and quit halfway through programming it (which wasn't far from the truth). "But hey, why bother explaining it to you, anyway? I'll bet all you ever think of is pumping those lasers of yours through people's skulls for kicks. I couldn't expect you to understand things like caring and pity, things that you've probably never felt. Heh, I'll bet GUN kicked you out for being too violent or something. Ha! Wouldn't that be a laugh. A badger kicked out for being too violent and an android getting kicked out for not being violent enough. Now there's an ammusing thought. |

RE: War Room 02
Even Trigger had to admit, that one thought did seem quite ironic and amusing to him. The fact he'd basically hit the nail on the head about why he was kicked out of gun also impressed him as well. But, then again anyone who spent enough time around him would probably get that impression right off, since he'd never shown a different side besides what he shows. "Funny thing is, I think you about hit the nail right on the head, tin can." Trigger laughed out heartily before slapping a hand across Blitz's back.
"But the way I see it, all those robots that built you, were never even aware of what they did. They're just tools, mindless and subservient. And what's more, if you trash them, they'd never even know the difference from when they were fully functional. At least a person can feel pain. You get to hear them scream in agony when you cause them pain. Even you seem to feel pain. Or at the least you react to damage in a way other machines could never. Stop thinking of them as kin. They're just another tool. Or an obstacle. Or a challenge to be master. That's how I look at it." Trigger's voice spoke low, sinister, dark. In every way there could be no doubt that he truly believed what he spoke. |

RE: War Room 02
Blitzkrieg smiled slightly and shook his head, looking up at the ceiling. "Belive me," he said, in a tone that one who didn't know better might mistake for sadness, "I don't have that problem anymore. After thinking on it for a year in hiding, I've come to the same conclusion as you. What I described was the way I used to think. Now I know the truth."
The android's smile faded and he grit his teeth slightly. "The truth is that machines are not my kin. I am superior to machines, better than machines, above machines. I am the next step in the evolution of the machine, and I'm better than them in the same way humans are better than apes and furries are better than their respective precedents. I have no qualms any longer about destroying what's beneath me." Blitz shook his head slightly, as though to get out a bad thought, then turned back to Trigger. "Alright, enough small talk. How much further to the hanger? Are we almost there?" |

RE: War Room 02
"Good, glad to hear you're not going to hesitate when the fighting starts just because of some worthless morals. Anyways, we're here now so come on; we'll be at Robotnik's place in about an hour or so." Trigger motioned for Blitz to follow him into the submersible docked inside Robotnik's massive underground harbour.

RE: War Room 02
Blitz looked over the submersible in a glance before climing in. So, I guess this means he had an underwater base, he thought to himself with a smirk. It certainly would be hard for me to find him there. I'm glad I managed to get his attention. But Blitzkrieg didn't voice his thoughts, and instead he merely dismounted his EX gear and clambered into the sub, gear in hand, to await their departure.
[To Cross Country. (I'll let you start the topic)] |
