New Board - Thoughts?

I wanna know what yins guys think of the new board. What do you like about it? What do you think could be improved?* What would you like to see added to it? Also, I'd like to note that if there is anyone interested in making graphics or otherwise for the site, we are looking for people as Viper advertised prior.

*Please be mindful when considering this. If you do not like something, that's fine. I would just like to emphasize that you should have a change in mind when you do note something, so this doesn't become a complaint thread.

well hey, let me be the first to add my compliments so far. from what I've seen it's been a rather smooth transition from the previous site, and although I don't know the complete history thereof (Metallix said that it's the second site in as many years? am I remembering that right?) I don't mind the current layout.

However if something does arise I'll let you know.

Back in June/July of last year, we had a board move, since that version of ikonboard was really old. I think Metallix was concerned about having another move since last time, we jumped onto ikonforums beta; that ended up to be full of glitches, so we had to move again to ikonboard version 3.15. I can sympathize with the members that it wasn't a very pleasant transfer.

Fortunately, this is not a beta, although there was a recent upgrade. That would explain the default skin, which will be up for changes as we progress for those interested in knowing. As Links noted though, due to the staff being busy with RL things, the spam bots, and then the recent upgrade, the prior customized skin never happened as we planned.

I'm already used to the layout, and I suppose the arrangement of topics (City, Island, etc) is better than the last one. (Region.) As a matter of fact, I've already fallen in love with this board.

But it doesn't love me back.

Because it auto refreshes every. Friggin'. Minute.

Bad auto refresh! Bad! If there was a way for me to off you in preferences, I would!

...Other than that, everything here is just dandy. And shiny. The board has more of a professional feel to it.

Can I hug my monitor?

Yes the auto refresh some times wipes away what I was typing, making me have to retype what was erased.. Rage inducing.

The way my parents don't understand.

Spooning is easily countered with fork.

Actually, the auto-refresh can be disabled in the shoutbox.

I like it. In fact I like it more then the other one. This blue is bad ass and the topics are better layed out.
None of that East west south blue red green.... yeah none of that. The only thing is that giant white space next to the head graphic, kinda unsettling.
